These blocks are so easy to make Cathy 😊, but they look like a lot of time and effort has gone into making them. I'm thinking of making a lap quilt with mine.
Thank you for sharing this, even I could do this…hoping to try it asap💖
It's easy Carla 😊. Just take time to line up the blocks so that they line up nice and neat.

OMG, love the purple fabric. I'm looking for something like that for a project 🤔
It was left over scrap from a previous project and it is a really lovely, vibrant shade of purple.
@@alandacraft yes purple and teal are my favorite colors 💜
Beautiful and I LOVE the purple fabric!!!!! 💜💜💜💜
Thank you Martha 😊. I'm a bit of a purple fan so it's a color that I often use in projects.
I was just thinking about making a disappearing 4 patch today and am happy to be reminded where to put the bg blocks!

Thank you for this short. I am a beginning quilter.
It's a nice easy one for a beginner. We have a number of blocks videos that are quick and easy and the step by step written instructions are on the website. www.alandacraft.com/2016/03/17/quilt-block-disappearing-9-patch-block-tutorial/

Thank you 😊. I'm a bit of a fan of purple and white together.
Thank you for this
Cool ❤
I have trouble with my “points” being on point!! Can someone recommend a video on how to get points lined up without constantly having to rip??
Yes!
I am learning how to quilt and I made a square! I was wondering if when you make these lessons if you ever show the correct way to see them together? I figured out a way but I am sure it was the hardest way possible. But thank you for the success!
Thank you for pointing that out 😊, I will put it on the to do list. We generally show how to press the seams but it's a bit hard in these short videos as they need to be under 60 seconds. However, I did think we had done the disappearing 4 patch in a full video, but obviously not. So I am sorry about that.
I love it.
Thank you Judy 😊
Love it thanks ❤
Thank you Teresa 😊
I think i can do this. Im trying to teach myself to make a quilt.
Lovely, we do have a lot of beginner quilts on the website, www.alandacraft.com. Just take your time when matching the pieces together. Enjoy.
@@alandacraft Thank you so much.
Amazing!!!
Thank you 😊
What would it look like if you did a 3 inch cut.
Lovely.
Thank you Poppie 😊
Apart from the patchwork design isn't quilting the sewing design upon such fabric.
If the size of the block changes does the width that you would cut?
I want you to start one project but my concern is how to ensure stitch seam same for each piece?
Wow
very clever
So easy to make Natasha, and it looks great when it's done.
Yes it does look great . Thank you 😊
Do you have any videos that show how to cut the fabric straight? Like once I bring it home, how do I cut it straight so I can be off to a hood start? Thank you!
I don't have a dedicated video for cutting fabric. Will definitely need to do one. I generally use one of these methods. 1. Place the quilting ruler with one line running along the fold. and cutting off the excess fabric along the side. 2. Open the fabric, make a cut with scissors about a half inch to an inch on one side, and tear across the fabric. Then I fold the fabric in half and trim off the wavy edge using method 1. I hope this makes sense.
Makes perfect sense! Thank you for responding!
So cute. Is there any way to slow down a video when it’s a video short?
Thank you 😊.I found this excellent video on how to slow down shorts by JMG Enterprises. Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/pDsJaDcFwJ4/v-deo.html. I was happy to find this as I have wondered about this in the past. I will be doing a longer version of the block at a later stage.
@@alandacraft thanks I will give that a try. It did work that’s hilarious.
Wowowow
WOW! ❤️
Can anyone tell me what inch the cuts should be if using 5x5 squares?
How do I know how many big squares I need before cutting the 1 1/2 inches.
What’s the finished size of the block? Tia
Sorry for basic question whst is the white fabric called?
Thank you for your question 😊. This is 100% quilting cotton. I have used a tone on tone white so it has a small pattern that adds a little interest to the design, as against a stark white fabric.
Do you always cut 1 1/2" no matter the size of the block? Im wa ting to use 10" layer cake. Thanks.
Maybe you would want to try a 3.5" cut if you are using layer cake squares.
Veľmi dobrá
Thank you 😊
Can I send you a picture of a quilt and tell me what the name is? Please and God Bless you!
Certainly Deborah ☺️. Here is our 'Contact Us' link to where you can send some photos www.alandacraft.com/contact/. We will certainly try to help.
