I think he decided to go around very early somewhere still by the threshhold. That runway was super long. I think he could've easily decended and put it down. His 2nd approach was no different from the 1st and he landed. But I agree with you when in doubt go around no doubt.
Love it! Can't wait for it to be me! Mike > can you show the color scheme for the switches on your panel? I think i saw green, black, and some red ones? Which switch is which color?
Congratulations Mike, Have followed you for a long time and I have witnessed how hard have you been working to grow as a pilot, an entrepreneur, and a family man, and the best is yet to come!
I know you're excited man!!!! That's so dang cool. Excited for you!!! Happy flying!!! Enjoy the new ride!!!

Man, this was the exact video I was waiting for (after all the teasers) thank you for uploading It's like living your dream through the lens, congratulations Mike! Greetings from Mexico.
Hi Mike I am Grant from Johannesburg South Africa. I have followed you on this build and I would like to congratulate you on your completion of your Sling TSI. Have lots of great fun flying your plane and keep safe. Regards Grant
I just did my first solo at Davidson last month. Cool to see you out there man. I’ve been following your videos for a while. Come say hey if you ever see a teal RV6-A. N121DS. I actually saw another sling that was orange a couple weeks ago at KEXX and pointed it out to my instructor. Fly safe.
I’m not a pilot, but have been following your whole build. So psyched for you! You’ve done an awesome job of making this dream seem attainable for any of us
Mike you giving me withdrawal symptoms I've gotten so used to watch your plane being built I so wanted to see you enjoy flying it. Will watch it now , so all is forgiven. I wish you many safe flying hours, I know you going to have a great time. Can't wait to see what you get up too in this beautiful plane. Beat of luck.
Stall warning! I'm glad you said that. I am sitting here working and watching UA-cam videos with a bunch of equipment monitoring equipment behind my desk and that beeping started and I was immediately up out of my chair trying to figure out which peice of equipment in the building was melting down or blowing up. Great airmanship BTW !!!
I'm from Manitoba where uncontrolled airport always meant no other traffic. I called out all my positions over and over many times and no one ever heard them as far as I know (maybe there was some guy who I didn't see with a broken radio that could receive but couldn't transmit :-). So weird to watch a US uncontrolled airport where there's actually someone else to hear. Congratulations on your beautiful plane Mike!
Nice ride, my friend!! Always talking in the pattern, great job keeping your position in the open for others. Greetings from Maine. Fly it up here sometime and have some lobster !
Nice landings Mojo. I remembered my 1st landing in my M20C back in September. I was nervous as hell, but somehow I greased the landing. I got over confident after that landing as the 2nd and 3rd got worst so decided that was enough for the day. Low wings are pretty slippery, fortunately I have speed brakes to help me slow down as needed. Congrats on the plane again👍👊.
Mazel tov, Mike!!! So awesome to see your bird in flight. I like that you have specific goals for each practice flight (like staying on the centerline) - much better than just flying with no real goal. And the go-around is one of the most important techniques that too few people use. It’s almost never a mistake. Many happy years of flying, Mike, in this and any other plane you build or buy.
Think about it Mike. You could have been a dork with a couple Lamborghinis instead. Congratulations on the beautiful coach and thank you for taking us along on the whole journey. You have vanquished one of the toughest years in flight history.
Very much enjoyed watching!! Nice flying! My first solo was in a 1946 Luscombe 8A, I made a go -around. As long as you have the engine you're never committed to a landing.
Congratulations Mike!!! So happy to see you and your beautiful bird getting to know one another. 😄 I didn’t know you came around my way. If you ever have plans to come back please let me know, I would love to come down to KEXX and meet you and her in person! Take care
Dude, congratulations on your Sling! It looks great, the interior is awesome, but 2k fpm climb is amazing. You've got a great story. Thank you for telling it. You're a great ambassador for aviation, bringing a different viewpoint with the same love for flying. Keep putting out great content.
A fun flight for me was I bought my jabiru in 2020. In Northern California. And flew it thru the Rockies!, nothin like light sport aircraft at 13500. For a bit . 2100 mile cross country. What a good time .
“I don’t like that, I’m going to go around “
That statement is the wisest thing you or anyone can say

Congratulations Mike, well done, a rare achievement 👍👍
This is so exciting. A new plane! I'll be there in about a year.
And worlds collide, an overlander and an over”the”lander...my two passions as well.
Well if it isn't my favorite overlander. Hi Andrew!
Davidson County isn’t far from me in Durham NC! I hope NC was kind to you.
Congrats, Mike! Well done. When I flew mine for FLIGHT #1, it flew straight and true...what a satisfying moment! You've done well, Sir.
Thank you.
Congratulations Mike, Have followed you for a long time and I have witnessed how hard have you been working to grow as a pilot, an entrepreneur, and a family man, and the best is yet to come!

The two camera angles you chose to make this video are great. Simple yet effective.
Congratulations Mike!👍
Smooth operator! Well done Mojo. Love how you keep the takeoff flap in for the whole climb. Sweeeet machine!
Beautiful plane! Thank you for letting us ride along.
The more you fly it, the more comfortable you will be with the speed and such when landing. She is a nice looking plane!!!
CONGRATS! Blue skies and tailwinds.

Beautiful new wings you got mojo! I'm happy for you!
Nice job Mike. You are an inspiration for a lot of young folks out there.
Congratulations. When you first said what colors you were using I was skeptical but wow it looks great.
You the man Mike! Have you thought about installing an AOA indicator in the Plane?? Sure would help with those landings!
Congrats on the new plane. Man you are one lucky guy. Keep up the awesome videos, and remember always keep the rubber side down.
King, your landings are for yourself. Don't judge your landings, and don't let anybody comment on them either. We fly for ourselves.
What a great milestone! Awesome! Fly safe
Cool little airport. I picked up my first airplane from the FBO there and flew it back to my home airport in Currituck.
Just wanted to say congrats. What an awesome accomplishment. I can’t imagine how proud you must be!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!🎉🎉🎉
