Just fired up the Chevy after following this process-worked great! Minimal cost, fairly easy to install-could have used this idea years ago. Thanks Vincent, you really help with my heat soak problem.

That is brilliant! I haven't had time (or found) your 10 minute video on how you did this but I'll watch it when I can. You know so much about cars for a young guy. Awesome 62 Impala, my friend had one with a straight six. It was slow AF, and I mean slow but reliable as could be! It had power steering but you still had to turn steering wheel about 3x to make a 90 degree turn and it had a green "cold" light lol. The interior was hot too because muffler was under driver and it had no a/c.

Yes my muffler had a quarter size hole it it when I first got the car and it basically boiled me in the summer before getting it replaced. Ended up putting heat shield sound deadener in to block off all that heat. I love this car I appreciate your compliment yo

@@vincentbryan1962 Does your Impala have that whimsical green "cold" light?

Thanks, Vincent, for showing the gas actually flowing while pump on. I, too, reworked the tank and no way wanted to drop it. I used copper line for direct under , and rubber fuel line on ends. Best!

I’m going to do what you did and replace the rubber from the bottom to copper lines as well. Better for the long run :) I wasn’t thinking long term

@@vincentbryan1962I just went to HW store and bought a coil of copper, i think 1/4, and it was soft enough to put almost anywhere. Zipped it to parts of the original fuel line. If u want to get fancy, check out this guy. I put mine into plastic (use Vaseline!) where rocks and stuff might hit it like wheel wells. Search "how to make a fuel vapor return line Chevelle GM". Craft Customs.
Thanks, again, for posting those two vids. (I used to live in El Paso. That's when I first heard of VL. I hope you keep the Impala! Cheers!)

When I was small, we had a 68 Impala that would vapor lock every mile or less. Nearly got hit a bunch of times. Horrible.

Gonna try this on my old truck im building. Ive read that the fuel returns too fast and starves the carb but i see you have no issues. Im running a mechanical pump as well
