They might go down the line of choosing the eras as separate campaigns or they could do it were the campaign covers all eras and they could add like skirmish modes and custom games

id love an empire at war remake but im equally excited for this
I'm really excited to be getting a tactical strategy game in the Star Wars universe. It's a style of gsme that fits lerfectly.
Never tried XCom, and I've never felt that drawn to it, but there have been other times in the past where a tie to an established franchise has eased me into games or genres I otherwise didn't get on with, so interested to learn more about this as its developed.
Really do hope the Creative Assembly RTS is seen to completion too though; Empire at War is probably my favourite Star Wars game, and even all these years later, the modding community is still very, very active - a spiritual successor built from the ground up to run more smoothly on modern operating systems would be wonderful.
I would recommend you to try Xcom 2, there is a lot of Star Wars mod there

I had a blast with the xcom titles and the strategic aspect as well as me needing some star wars content actually brought into star wars legion now
I really hope people get over their fps bias and try this game and maybe some see that this genre can be hella fun
The only strategy games I've played so far was Halo wars and Halo wars 2 and I really enjoyed those two games and I hope it's like that too if they're making it I have seen gameplay of XCOM mods of Star wars and it looks pretty cool

Holotactics perhaps that would be cool to see kind id like to see something similar to TABS and maybe you could take hold of the characters bringing a multiplayer aspect

Sounds interesting (just hope it’s not in the Galactic Civil War while I liked this Era I think it was too much used in Videogames like Fallen order, Survivor, Battlefront 2015 and the Upcoming Star Wars Outlaws we need more Different Eras like the Clone Wars ,in the High Republic or Even damn something New) and Also Trying to Be in Strategy Games (I Tried Alien Dark Descent and it’s not Bad.)
I would prefer a space game or a game with both ground and space combat but I'll still get this even if its ground only. My dream Star Wars game is an X-Com style game that starts with you leading a small rebel cell and then ramping up until the late game where you are commanding all the rebel forces in your sector both ground and space

I wouldnt mind a Star Wars game made by Relic or a grand strategy by Paradox. But for Firaxis devs is a good outlook

Be cool to have a cod type of Star Wars. I was little kid and I search some call of duty videos saw the cod4 Star Wars mod. It was really cool but sadly no one has noticed it. Be cool tho.

Yeeeeeees, it’s great to _finally_ get more news about this title after so long. Personally hope it’ll be set during the Galactic Civil War or the Old Republic so we can use Xenos units. And that Disney’s BS doesn’t sour things. Also so people who want Force users in games like this can get their fix. Even the Yuuzhan Vong invasion could work if they’re allowed to ignore Disney and use the EU.
But though they’ll never read this, to the developers I say; I beg of thee, do _not_ set this in the ‘high republic’, that thing was a catastrophe since its announcement and it _never_ got better.
