Did anyone else notice the doll to the right move. Scared the hell out of me lol 1:50
hahaha you're not the first to point that out
WOW - nice observation - I had missed it first time thru so much thanks for pointing that out...kinda creepy and fun !!
I still waiting for the CM8 to be available!!!!
Unfortunately, while we projected the CM-8M would be returning this summer, our manufacturers experienced an equipment failure that prevented the production of our Oro-Nasal cup molds for the mask. This has caused a further delay, as that is the central component of our mask redesign. We apologize for the inconvenience, we are just as frustrated as you are but this is completely out of our hands at the moment. The second we learn of a new batch arriving, we will notify everyone.
When did they say they would have them?
you guys are genuine rockstars. your people in charge of facebook and instagram are awesome and really nice folks. thank you for being so cool. I'm getting my next gas mask from you guys this week
PERFECT review ! thank you !
Helpful. Thank you.
Great video thank you for sharing it was genuinely helpful!
Which Mira Gas Mask is the best? The correct answer is.... All Of Them.
Business Motto="Ours Is Better Than Theirs".
I received my 6M quickly. Thank you Mira.
thats awesome, I have a cm7m coming! excited to try it out.
Hope you enjoy it!
Same. Just gotta figure out perscription im torn on making my own inserts or just spending the extra 200.
Im.hoping to buy the PAPR attachment with the CM7M
Great video and great Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5168g!
Very thorough!
Thank you
You're welcome!
This channel and website rocks! can't wait to make my first purchase on it soon.
Thank you!
Does MIRA provide a protective, removable film for the lenses?
I just got your CM-8M, a couple of months ago, and just found out that your drinking tube is too short. You have to push the diaphragm inwards to get the tube to comes close to reaching. Sorry but I'm not trying to break the mask being sealed.
Can we get this fixed or exchanged please?
Daaaaaamn first tactical guy I've seen wearing a patek Philippe
fella on the lower right spooked me at 1:52 :-D
So are the lenses z87+ rated or no
You wouldn't happen to have a NIOSH certification now would you?
With the stated exception of blister agents (which I am not at all worried about), wouldn't the CM-i01 be just as affective versus fallout or wildfire smoke, given you equip it with the proper filter?
It would be, just know that our CM-6M and CM-7M are far more durable
Most masks with a p3 and multi gas filter will be fine for bushfire
Im really interested in getting the CM-i01 gas mask since its way cheaper and I live in a place where each dollar has it's weight in gold (Argentina), how durable is it? is it good for prepping and having a just in case mask? I've seen a comment from a guy in the page for that mask that complained about the rubber, is durability really a concern?
and do you provide any support for this product? valve replacements for example?
I wanted to get the CM-6M on your recent sale, but the shipping to my country is just too painfully expensive, like half the cost of a mask and pouch and filter. Additionally, without proper decontamination capability, which 99.9% of the civilian population does not have, the mask and hazmat suit have limited viability. In the case of exposure to a radiological event, how does one even take it all off without receiving a severe dose of radiation? If the power grid goes down from the EMP then there's no water to even shower in the suit. People are more screwed than they think I'm afraid. Still better than being out in it directly no doubt.
If you google "NBC suit removal" and also look up donning and doffing PPE on UA-cam, you'll see instructions on how to safely remove a contaminated suit. As per radiation dosages when removing PPE, no PPE will protect you from Gamma radiation or or high levels of Alpha or Beta Particles (depending upon the event), but PPE will reduce harm secondary to skin and respiratory contamination, once radiation levels have dropped after a few days. If space permits, you could always keep a 10 Litre manual garden sprayer filled with water, as that will do the same job as the kit provided to the military, but it is a 2 man job to use it and your suit has to be fluid proof, rather than just dust proof to use it.
Exactly
Which one would you reccomend that is cbrn but also is very good against toxic chemicals and gases because i dont want my lungs to melt and i dont want to blister and also for acid (just try your best for acid idc if there isnt one i just hope there is)
Would highly recommend our CM-6M gas mask for general purpose use against CBRN threats including chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals. Pair that with our NBC-77 SOF filter. That is if you are only concerned with threats to your face and lungs. For full bodied protection, look into our HAZ Suit and MOPP suit.
@@MIRASafety thank you!
Recently bought the CM-8M, so does the butyl rubber break down over time? Is is really 20 year shelf-life??...seems a bit low...🤔
Also, why do the unopened P3 & CBRN filters expire too? The P3 are just cloths on the inside right? And the CBRN have added charcoal. Both seems pretty inert to me in their packaging...🤔
20 year shelf life is considered among the highest longevity standards in the industry, I'm not sure how that would be low?
Our specific p3 filters and NBC-77 SOF filters, when unopened, do in fact last 20 years. Again that's actually well above average in the industry.
@@MIRASafety yea but is the "20 years" thing just a marketing timeframe to get people to buy/spend more or are there actually studies that show they just immediately crumble to dust when they reach the "expiration date"...🤔
@@MIRASafety some dude (weaponsandstuff93 I believe) tested a WWII gas mask and it still worked (sealed properly) so those have like a 70 years+ "shelf life"...🤔
And SurvivalLilly wrote that she personally tested a 30 year old mask "even though it was hanging in a dirty tool shop for decades"... 🤔
The problem is Oxidative degradation of ther parts of the masks containing Polymesrs. Polymers are either manmade or natural (Organic) and consist of rubbers, plastics such as Polypropyline and Polyethylene and glues. All of these materials can degrade (Polymer aging) over time when exposed to Oxygen and poor storage conditions when humidity and/or temperature is very variable. Most repiratory PPE sold for commercial use has a shelf life of anything up yo 5 years only, as a failure of this kit could result in long term harm to health, or even an early death of a user. As a result, most manufacturers err on the side of safety as regards expiry dates, lest they be sued regarding diseases such as Absestosis or Silicosis due to PPE failure. A 20 year shelf life is quite impressive for respiratory PPE.
I’m wondering how resistant is CM6 mask against airsoft BBs or metal shards flying
Very resistant. We've shot the CM-6M with a 12 gauge bean bag round and it still held up. We recommend using our PROFILM visor protector just to keep the minor scratching off the visor if you intend to use this for airsoft.
Which one do you recommend for tactical usage or use in combat?
The CM-7M at the current moment. It was tailor-made for combat applications as it will allow you to shoulder a rifle more easily and is compatible with optics.
where it maskpol mp-6 ?
Good video. I’d love to see one specifically on the different options available, especially for those who wear glasses. Thanks.
Standard glasses aren't compatible with any gas mask as the seal would be broken around the temples, however, we have a set of prescription inserts that mount underneath the gas mask and can be customized to your prescription. It's called the Spectacle Kit. All you need to do is upload a prescription and we do the rest: www.mirasafety.com/collections/frontpage/products/miravision-gas-mask-spectacle-kit
@@MIRASafetywait whoa HOLD ON the spectacle kit itself is 200 dollars? It had better be included WITH the gas mask price or god help me…
@@CalikoFirearmshonestly at this point in time, with everything going on in the world, its worth the $200
@@JudoMMAster I guess you truly cannot put a price on safety
Prices???
What works best if your working with fuel? Gas/disel
Exhaust or vapors?
@@MIRASafety vapors
For clarification, are you asking about what mask is best for working around fuel vapors, or what filter is best?
they had no trouble killing hundreds during the MAUI fires. something bigger might come up within the next few months
Goodluck u nutjub
i thought mira safety was really expensive until i looked at the price of some of these, they seem fairly priced
Yes sir, our pricing is reflective of the professional grade quality of CBRN protection. You get what you pay for in this industry.
@@MIRASafetyonly thing id work on is making the spectacle kit around 130 dollars. I would rather buy a spare pare and augment them with wire and such to mimic yours vs buying them at full retail currently.
Love your company! Keep the work up
I found them he'll expensive. Drager masks are alot cheaper without sacrifice. Even israeli masks are 1/5 of of the price
CM8 would probably be fine for my use. But CM7 looks cooler tho? 😅
Haha we hear that a lot. CM-7Ms have that iconic look
@@MIRASafetywhat do you recommend is best for prepping and is best overall?
@@operatorgrizthe 8 probably more field of view, able to shoot long gun and pistol, if you watch videos on the 7 it's great and great for long guns but because of the middle piece it's very hard to shoot a pistol unless you practice a ton
With all that being said I may go with the 7
Do these masks contain any latex?
No, it uses bromobutyl rubber, not latex
@@MIRASafety Now I know that the mask won’t kill me 😂 THANK YOU!
Which one in your opinion is best for Among Us cosplay?
The CM-6M (bit.ly/3NHLNpb) seems to be the best match for the Crewmates masks.
Could the lenses survive being shot by a airsoft gun?
The visor is rated to meet the standard set by EN 168 for impact protection. We have tested this mask to a much higher level of impact resistance, however, and it performed well. This included shooting a CTS bean bag round out of a 12ga shotgun at 15ft, and the visor held up. Please note, this was done under non-scientific conditions so results may vary.
Thanks
You got a ghost in your video 11:53
Do you have tutorials in the Ukrainian language?
Not yet
OM-90 is 2 x cheaper

Overpriced clones and rebrand
CM7 lens are glass that are only a few mm thick, they and would shatter if hit with a few airsoft pellets. Would not recommend if you value your eyesight.
