I'm Mexican American and have never found this to be offensive. I actually see this as promoting the fine talent of Mexican Musical Geniuses. There are countless Mexican songs that have been translated into several languages. "Bésame Mucho" among the most translated songs into many languages. I see it as a Gentleman from the South commenting to a Yankee museum curator that he was proud to see how good Southern marksmanship was while looking at pictures of all those Yankees killed during the Civil War.

Found a few episodes on YT here, but not any that I remembered. Loved the animated Meso-American myths and fables they did, as well as the little animated bit done at the beginning and end of each episode.
As a kid growing up, I never saw the mouse as a racist thing. I always though, Mouse from Mexico that can outrun anything was able to out smart Sylvester. If Warner Brothers had intended for the mouse to be a racist thing, I think they would have had Sylvester catching and eating him up or something else. But Speedy mostly won the day....

They never imagined that the Saturday morning cartoon or weekend animated anthology would become the ultimate retirement home for their craft.
