The current method I use right now is doing merchant lost shipment voyages and shrines. You do one list shipment with all clues, it’s easy grade 5 merchant emissary. You’ll probably also come across coral messages in bottles as well if you stop by islands, and you can take the loot from those too. Not the best method, but a fun one for sure.
hey ive been a sub for a while now and i love your vids man very helpful. the method i use to farm gold is to do all the sea fortresses around the map as a reaper emissary. doing that almost always attracts other pirates which makes for a lot of fun pvp.
I as a solo sloop go from fortress to fortress with a gold hoarder emissary and I make quite a bit Also thank you if you’re reading this for all the tall tales I can’t believe how much work you put into those thank you for getting me closer and closer to the gold curse
Yea, as a solo hopping sea forts with GH emissary is the best way I've found as well. You can do it as a Reaper as well but for me the risk isn't worth it. If I ever find a crewmate the I'm willing to try the shrine but untilll then I'm not comfortable leaving my ship alone. I'll agree that with this method the most of the time is spent just sailing between them.
It began with the forging of the Great Eyes of Reach. Three were given to the Admirals, 5 to the Bilge Rats, great traders, only the finest cosmetics for our nice Dubloons. And nine, nine Eyes of Reach were gifted to the sovereigns, aristocrats, mercenarys, bone chrushers, who above all else desire power. For within these guns was bound the strength and the will to govern each company and bring respect to their enemys. But they were all of them deceived, for another Eye o’ Reach was made. Deep in the land of the Devils Roar, in the Fires of the Mountain on Ashen Reaches, the Dark Lord Joe Neate forged a master Eye of Reach, and into this Gun he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all of our desires. One Gun to rule them all. Forged from the coldest obsidian every free Pirate desires to hold this strong and beautiful Weapon... And thats the origin story from the Obsidian Eye of Reach, I know, pretty random ;-D Anyway I hope y'all enjoyed this short story....😂😂
Just returned to sea of thieves since day one felt like a bust and have found that it’s amazing now in season seven. Getting on that grind has been fun and honestly I love how easy the merchant is for gold, and the vaults
Most of the time i just sail around and do world events with a casual fortress in between. I want to try to find a average gold amount but I think there is just too many variables. Thanks for the content, love u ❤️
I recently came back to playing SOT and when I need to know something as a lot has changed since I last played I know I can come here and you will have a great video on it. Thanks for all the amazing vids they are a massive help to so many people
Thanks for an updated gold farm video, I appreciate the time you have taken to assess each method. Edit: Also the new angler pistol gives you so much more vision and even has a decent ironsight.
The current method I use is still lost voyages from merchant alliance. It’s not to difficult if you get a good route out of the way of other players. Plus sometimes I get lucky and only have to visit islands instead of searching for seagulls so that’s always nice.
I love watching this whole video knowing damn well me and my crew are just going to end up getting distracted and making literally no progress in 3 hours.
I just appreciate how much work and love this guy puts into his videos. This channel has helped me out so much on the grind to pirate legend. He has one or even multiple videos to almost every topic in this game and his tutorials are the so short but cover everything you need with nothing like sponsors and stuff. Absolute GOAT on the Sea of Thieves youtube community.
Currently my friends and I stack Merchant’s Guild sunken ship runs. We’ll alliance up two or three ships and do separate runs while alliances. They take like 10-15 minutes and you’ll be rank 5 before the end. Plus we’ll swing through Mermaid Shrines if our paths happen to cross one. Sell during Gold Rush and the manifestos alone will net you a nice chunk. It’s a chilled time that allows us a to fish for Hunter’s rep on our way. Most of the time you aren’t bothered because Merchants are usually bloodthirsty when it comes to defending loot. My friends and I have kegged many reapers who thought they’d be getting an easy kill. Thank you for the reaper flags gents. Always a pleasure doing business with you.
I am used to do sea forts and it is going really good. You inspired me to play Sot and I am very greatful for your tips and videos. Keep up the great work
I've been doing a lot of lost shipments to level up my merchants and had my first decent money day, made about 100k so far, i even got attacked by and beat my first kraken today solo so its been going pretty good in terms of money
I am fairly new to SOT, me and my friends bought it a few weeks ago but they don’t like it as much as me as they get salty when we get attacked. thankfully my terrible performance in any pvp game has given me a thick skin, so losing my stuff is no big deal. This leaves me solo slooping and it’s THRILLING. So thanks to my salty friends I am watching EVERY UA-cam video there is on this game and I have to say, your videos have helped me so so much. I think I’ll try the forts in the wilds and get myself some sweet cash. Thank you for the great videos
Jolly good show. Great tips. The Devil's Roar is the safest place in the game if you know what you are doing. As commented below try stacking the keys since there are only 2 vaults in the area.
Thank you, this video was really helpful, the method I usually do is fort stack fort of the damed along with stacking the royal crest fortress along with the other forts near by
thx for this video and i will be trying the lost shipment method first and see how it goes. i would love to understand the mechanics of the let your ship sail with out you to the next port or what ever on the shrine method you showed. anyway thx
The very best way is to stack fortresses or treasuries. The Treasury above Smugglers to the treasury next to Old faithful. Just go back and forth. You can also add the fortress north of Galeons Grave to those and sell with a big stack fast. All the emissaries will reach five and if it's a new player they can constantly be getting high quality loot for all three factions at each stop. Can easily be done in under 2 hrs including the sell.
My crew likes to run reapers emissary making sure to play on a server with other emissaries, we run the highest level of mercenary captain voyage, usually will ignore the gold vault but we do grab the merchant key and rush to the captains ship. The ghost ship fight is a great way to stock up on supply crates and usually after finishing those two we have reapers 5 and plenty of supplies to go hunt the other emissaries who have been accumulating more loot. Usually get atleast 100k a session if we have other players on the server :)
As a solo player sea forts have always been my go-to for scooping emmisary progress and money. Love the idea of throwing in some shrines in between. Genius!
i do the three shrines on the southern part of the map raising and re raising gh emissary, those three specifically because they all give you a tribute chest which is 9-10k with emissary
Hello Sea of Concepts! I currently stack World Events and get around 1 Million gold for 5 hours of grinding. I dont want to spend that much time, so Ive switched to FOTD stacking! Since this video`s upload, i have made 3,274,984 gold. Thank you so much for this Tutorial!
Currently running Gold Horder vaults. Watched one of your older vids that still hold up to date. Location does matter such as morrows peak vault voyages earning more. Thank you for helping me up my game.
I go fort hopping most of the time with my friends. One of them trying to be a successful streamer. I’m going to try all of these methods. Thank you for the tips!
Worth adding only skip to destination in lost shipment if you get key after a couple checkpoints. When I've tested after getting first drop, I didn't reach lvl 5 merchant
The current method I use is the Printing money rounting from merchant. Its just very comfortable and good route out of the way of other players. Its done with about 1 to 2 Houers.
Massive fan of hitting treasuries. Those boom sticks make it easy clears. My crew and I also like to do ashen Athena commissions if we feel like bashing our heads against a wall for a couple hours haha. Love the videos!
Certainly going to be looking into quite a few of these methods. Thank you for the information! I especially like the fortress method as I love doing ghost fortresses
Up until now I hadn't really worried about gold so much, rather getting the levels to get PL. Now that I am PL and captaincy is out maybe gold is a bigger concern. Love u
I mostly do commodity runs combined with lost shipments it is pretty chill and i can watch a movie or listen to music, i rarely get into combat and whith a level 5 emissary you earn quite a lot. also just got Pirate legend today after over hundred hours on the game i dont now if that is a long time or not but i am pretty exited
My favourite way of making gold is farming world events with reapers or hunting emissaries. Or farming veils for athena rep, while making a bit of gold on the side.
Thanks for this advice dude! I usually run solo and given my pathetic skills I think FOTD would take hours. Stacking sea forts is the handiest I have found
One thing u missed is that with the sea fort, you have to make sure that you use a pistol bc they oneshot the phantoms and makes it a thousand times quicker
Galleons grave traitors fate fortress loop. Easier with a order of soups emissary. Do the traitors fate fortress, then go and sell everything but the skulls at galleons grave. By when your done the fortress should refresh. When you reach order of souls grade V then you can sell all the skulls you got before lowering and reraising the emissary flag.
I generally do a variety of missions/pve to keep it from getting stale as fast. Coins per hour doesnt matter as much as enjoyment per hour. If you are having fun, the coins will come.
My Crew and I are currently doing a combination of sea forts, world events and PvP. Sadly the PvP part makes this method a coin flip cause sometimes we get really good fighta and loot and sometimes we get destroyed and walk away with noting.

Sea of Concepts I love you and will love you even more with an obsidian six pack! I have never seen cosmetics so hard to attain in a game! I can not believe they do not sell these in the store still at this point! Good stuff!

Also, a harpoon rowie is VERY handy when stacking these, shortens the loot running BIG TIME.
Good luck pirates ☠️
Since when do you have to go to ferry?? Did 3 at each a week or two ago, I just go back up to the first entrance and put the next key in.
@@darksteel735 I leave a player in till they drown so we know it finished the vault then we put the key in
@@stebbycakes also they can get a bit more gold from the piles before drowning
Best thing about it is that unless you’ve got some aggressive Reaper 5s on the server then your basically sweet. Nobody ever goes into the Devils Roar
Never thought to do the shrine in the middle of the fortresses, will definitely be trying this out. I remember when you had 1k subs, keep up the grid!
Radom comment
I just recently re-downloaded Sot and i really love the new sea forts. Verry beginner friendly with relatively good loot. Love your videos :D
