Phuzzy, love your content, without your guides I wouldn't be half the pirate I am today. Been teaching new players on game mechanics on SoT official to carry your help around. Touching on this vid, if i may. Solo sloopers are at high risk of being attacked on these forts, sinking is almost guaranteed unless its melon heads that are attacking, but that's a rareity. So its essential for them to clear the fort as fast as possible. Following this logic, i HIGHLY suggest stacking the forts kegs on the top of the ramp(outside, the long wodden path going up, at the top of it) as there is enough kegs to blow up Graymarrow in 1 shot. Its a good spot to stack the kegs as it is easy to Line-Of-Sight the boss right on top of the kegs, also, its basically right in the middle of the island. Lob 1 granade of your choosing and the forts one and done. Feel free to test it out. Would love to know if you find it helpfull :)

If you're doing your solo Fort of the Damned and you notice that there seem to be more skeletons each wave than there used to be. that means somebody's tucking on you
I'm not sure if this is the case I think the skeletons gain more HP, I don't think more spawn, I could be wrong on this though just be on the look out for either happening
@@arkangellll What?? The reason I didn't do fotd solo before was because 3 lights was annoying. 2 was fun and when I had a crewmate we'd shout color combos like red white and blue for murica
That was an incredible display of tactical skill. As a solo player myself I've always struggled against even other solo players. Ill be sure to take as much inspiration from this as I can. Thank you.
A quick note on kegs: Risk vs reward! Reward: If you stack all the kegs from the fort in one quiet spot, you can later drag the boss past them and detonate for a insta-kill on him. This works even better if you're able to recover the kegs from the waves (specifically the stronghold ones in the final waves) and add them to the pile. RIsk: You get nuked by a tucker who finds your beautiful pile of kegs
There is a few spots you can glitch the kegs into a rock or similar where they cannot be picked up again but it is still fine to lead the boss over, therefore removing said risk, this might be patched but im confident itll be possible to do somewhere as ive encountered the not able to pick stuff up bug in this update as well
Hi man Im not sure if you remember but we have met in the game before! I was with my friend and we were from Turkey and you gave all the treasure to us and helped us a lot so I just wanted to say thank you for all the things that you have done.
Tip: There are different spots on fort of the damned where you can place kegs so that its not possible to move them or take them. After you placed all the kegs in one of these spots you lure the boss and blow them up.

My husband has been demolishing these and I’ve still yet to try one… I’m the unlucky soul who always ends up with a bunch of Lazybeards who just want to wait for their chance to move in and take my well earned treasure away from me. Unlike my husband, I’m not a PvP Legend and honestly, they can sink you while you’re finishing and steal your stuff while you’re trying to come back and there’s little you can do about it (not that I don’t try, I’m not a quitter). Watching this makes me want to try. I go in thinking “If you lose it all, learn something and do better next time… If by some miracle you succeed, you’ll have quite the tale to tell! Won’t hubby be proud?” 😅
With how easy it is now to do FotD, especially with the one color per wave, I might try and do more of them myself, both for the Comms as well as the Milestones. I'm just one away from getting 10 FotD cleared, and then 40 more for the rest of the rewards
Huh..I thought it was the moment the color changed that was the trigger to reveal the skellys, this changes things...and I didn't even think of just leaving it on the floor lol..had a crew mate hold it I really hope this is an intended function and they don't remove it. I'd be ok if they increased the cost of the skull voyage to keep it. It makes the skull such a valuable tool
The last time a friend and I did FotD, a one of us blew up a keg inside the main part of the fort to kill the skeleton captains, and we both got the deed/trial completion for "killing another player with an emissary" or something like that, so we were both like "Guess someone was tucking on us lol, don't have to worry about it now, though." Weird thing is... we were Reaper Grade 5, there were no other emissary ships aside from another grade 5 reaper LITERALLY on the other side of the map, so the tucker had to be from that ship, but its odd the ship didn't stick around a little bit closer.
I’ve played this game for so long, earned a lot of money, met many great sailors. Yet I never got the chance to finish TFOTD. Wish this game didn’t need live gold to play :/. Great video Phuzz and have a good one legend

In case you didn't know, if the map bundle despawns the buried treasure also disappears so always hide the map bundle instead of throwing it onto the water
Never done a FotD, but does this mean you need both a Ritual Skull and a Skull of Fortune? Or can you take the Skull of Fortune off the skeleton after you've started?

Tbh, If I did a solo FotD, I'd bury a Stronghold Keg as a nice surprise for any unsuspecting Pirates that wanna thieve my buried loot. Also I did NOT know Grass respawned.

I just started playing the game and it’s insanely glitched I can’t even see what items I am using in the wheel I spent 70 dollars for cool ship details and stuff and outfits I want and I can’t see them at all
Have you equipped them? You can see your own pirate by emoting. Clothing can be accessed in the clothing chest in your ship or clothing store, Hooks, pegs, eye patches, tattoos, scars, and curses can be accessed in the vanity chest in your ship and the clothing store, Tools can be accessed in the equipment box in your ship and the equipment shop, Weapons can be accessed in the weapons cabinet in your ship and the weaponsmith shop. Ship decor can be accessed at the chest at the shipwright. Each box/chest/cabinet should have pictures that show you what they contain along with their specific designs to differentiate between each other. If you have done this, then you could try to close out of the game and run it again, it may be that the game just hasn't loaded the models yet.
Same Im I'm console and when I load into my first lobby I gotta stay so my stuff loads. Once I switch lobby's I can't see my compass or what I'm hovering over in my inventory

Can somebody explain why he buries the treasure? I get the fact that he got sunk and they would have snatched it if he had it on board, but you cannot sell it if it is buried so what is the point exactly?
Do you really have to ask this question? xD If you want my treasure but I don't want you to have my treasure, then I will bury it so you can't sell my treasure. Do you understand it now?

I wanted to stack forts, as the server has a limit of reaper chests. Burying them makes the server think they aren't there , but I think it's changed , as when I did this layer and we reached 10 reaper chests. The vault spawn two Ancient Bone dust crates Instead of reapers
Great Video! But imho they should at least add the different colors back. Even with only two at the same time would be better. Now it's only a night-skelly fort without the great mechanic they invented originally...
After playing SoT for months, convincingly my wife and some friends to crew with me... I've come to the conclusion I would much rather just watch Phuzzy play then deal with the frustration of the actual game lol
FotD was, honestly, fine. The nerfed Greymarrow (now identical to that one voyage from.. Fate Of The Damned, I think? Where his ghost showed up again) is alright, and I do enjoy seeing him at least able to use his sword since it was only that one limited-time voyage before that let it happen, but the skeleton change is so annoying. They also take increase damage from the pistol, dying in a single 50 damage bullet, yet taking three 25 damage sword swipes to kill (or one 60 damage lunge). Very odd. The multiple colors was one of the hardest parts of the fort, making it a challenge that required planning, communication, and became easier the better a large group you had, but now it's tuned for solo, for no good reason. The inclusion of captain waves was the only particularly good change to it.
@@KopperNeoman It's only ever been an even 50 damage, as far as I'm aware. Though admittedly those two numbers don't make a lot of difference whether it's one or the other, making it somewhat more difficult to observe.
It's been my experience that every time you start doing the fort the sweats start to circle like piranha, just waiting for you to finish then they pounce.

Maybe you're lucky and don't encounter asshats in this game, but I have been playing off and on for a couple of years and can count on one hand the number of times I've been attacked and didn't get spawn camped and taunted with racial slurs. Sadly, reporting them doesn't seem to cut down on it.

I can't confirm yet but i think when you're solo there can only be 1 color active so that's another way to find out

Pretty easy just finish it in 1 weekend. stacked about 15 fotds on the first weekend since update
You can even do he fort more quickly, you can stack all the keg of the fort in one place and use them to oneshot graynarrow.

I don't usually use them, but if I would choose one it would be the cutthroat flare, it's the least blinding as far as I know

The Skull of Fortune can be used as a single use ritual skull while also giving you access to all the flame colours

Yup they do not get a map if they sink you, this way they won't know you have anything buried there 😊

No it's safe , buried treasure doesn't get affected by the status of the map bundle

god this is so easy. i used one stronghold keg and like 5 blunderbuss shots and thats it
i would also take like 1 hour doing a fotd and thats why i never did them but i decided to use your strat and it was so easy
Soloing Fotd is actually easiest part :D it become intesne fight when 2 player brigs comes right after you finish it 😂

I believe the pistol is 55, not 50.

@@KopperNeoman Really?? You tried to shoehorn "Woke" into a video game?? Cmon, I know a lot of people are scared to death of that word, but damn don't try so hard. Maybe you're lucky and don't encounter asshats in this game, but I have been playing off and on for a couple of years and can count on one hand the number of times I've been attacked and didn't get spawn camped and taunted with racial slurs. Sadly, reporting them doesn't seem to cut down on it.
