For the loot room on the top, just place the 4 pieces of loot on the wall above the staircase. It is the side of the fort where your boat is. Just look up and harpoon them off the top. Saves tons of time bringing them downstairs.
I totally understand why you recommend not looking through any more furniture once you've found the storeroom key. However, for those completionists among us, there is a commendation for finding extra hidden treasure, i.e. the skulls and cups found in the furniture. Might be worth the couple of extra minutes if you want said commendation. You have to find quite a few and the gold pouches do not count.
I think that comm is called "master thief" or something, right? I got it after totally shaking down 2-3 forts, but maybe I happened to get a lot of skulls and whatnot during those runs.
Nice one mate, high tier content as always. I found instead of doing a full loop around the map, going back on forth from brimstone to ancient gold fortress was much quicker
You can just sail back and forth to the two seaforts in the ancient isles since they are the closest to each other. You can also put the loot from the storage room on the wall and harpoon it instead dropping it down the hatches. It's just as fast to put the loot outside the gate on the otherside instead of dropping it in the water on the platform side, plus you can harpoon the storage room loot on the same side.
I noticed that if the Ancient Spire outpost is on your span, you can commute between the 2 forts nearby as it restarts pretty soon. The splitting is 1-2 minutes
Since the loot doesn't despawn for a bit you can just keep going back and forth with Old Brinestone Fortress and Ancient gold Fortress and leave the loot in a corner of the loot room. It lowers the risk of loosing it all if you were sunk. Just pick it up everytime you come back from the other fort to avoid it despawning.
Bonus Tip: Put the treasure from the top supply room on top of the fort's battlement nearest to your ship. Easier than carrying it down and you can hit it with your ship harpoon from there
You’re a very nice dude, and your guises are fantastic! I appreciate the time you take to make these and the research involved. I’m really loving these Forts. They’re so fun and I can make some quick gold
I accidentally found an even faster way to cheese the forts yesterday. Park your boat near the dock where you have a clear angle for your cannons towards the stairs. Depending on how clustered they are when they run out of the fort, you can complete the entire wave in 1-3 cannonballs. If you don't get them on the stairs they still run down towards the landing and you can finish them off. You can clear the fortress in no time at all. Run for the keys and your done. Also for the loot up top, don't bother the carry it all down. If you put it on the top of the wall side nearest your ship you can harpoon it aboard way faster than moving it down.
To speed up the process further usually kegs spawn on the top floor where the captain spawns (I say usually I've only had it not spawn once) and it one shots the captain just don't die to it
I have been using this method, sometimes combined with mermaid shrines. Only problem is, it seems as though the second I finish 1, MAYBE 2 forts, I'm being chased by 1-2 other ships. Solo sloop vs a Galleon or brig is not a fun time. But on the rare chance I'm left alone, this is indeed a great strat. An alternative if you wanna be really "safe" is to just do and redo the fort northeast of Galleon's Grave. It's so close to the outpost that you can get the loot, sell it, and then the fort respawned. It's a little slower, but a little safer since you're not "stacking" as much and risking losing everything to a group of PvP hunters.
well i have done over 100 sea forts now. im getting around 40k with reaper 5 per fort. you'd never get a ruby gem and the value of the captain's chest vary heavily (500 to 1500 I think which is why the 54k theoretically shouldn't be relied on). yes you get the highes tier crate dropped the most, but its really just the captain's chests that're "ruining" the profit. As a solo player its's the best you can do in my opinion. They're a lot of fun instead of really annoying like doing gold hoarder voyages in DR. If you don't want to have a reaper emissary because of the server hoppers, use the gold hoarder emissary.
I just sail back and forth to the same one u sail 2 or 3 blocks away loot and phantoms and fort will reset / respawn. Its only like a 5 -10 min wait or something. Put storeroom loot on top wall and harpoon it instead if moving it all down.
I've found it faster to just drop the upper rooms loot on top of the wall on the same side you park then do the main room (if soloing) then harpoon it all. With a crew. One goes up, rest go down, then jump down and harpoon the upper loot, by that time they should have the bottom ready to go. Just my strat. Didn't think about using the flintlock only. Thanks for that.
Another viable strat for a long play session is to raise OOS emissary and do forts until grade 5. Go to outpost, turn in skulls and pick up grade 5 quest, then drop OOS and pick up GH emissary. Repeat doing forts for GH until you get to grade 5, go to outpost sell GH goods and pick up Grade 5 quest. Repeat for Merchant emissary. At the end you should have a map wheel full of grade 5 quests for all 3 factions. I then pick up Reapers, do enough to get to grade 5 and turn in. One thing to note about grade 5 merchant goods, you GAIN emissary standing when you SELL those products to the reaper's hideout. I don't think it's intentional by Rare but as long as it's here I'm going to keep using it. You can get from grade 3 to 5 just by selling the merchant grade 5 quest goods (16 plants/rum bottles/cloth). I've done this for several 3-4 hour play sessions and earned well over a million each time and I wasn't super efficient (I was doing the commendations for the sea forts so I was looting all the garbage in the cabinets). The best thing about breaking it up into chunks like this is you reduce the impact if you happen to lose an engagement. You guarantee that every time you stop to switch emissaries you are cashing in a portion of your loot in increments. Also, it appears you get more gold for Ashes at the merchant alliance trader than you do with reapers, not sure if anyone else has noticed that (you get about 10k total with grade 5 merchant emissary per box of Ashes). This is the main reason I save the merchants emissary for last.
@@SeaOfConcepts We did it as late as last night (15-03-22), between Brinestone and the fortress west of it. I am pretty sure the respawn timing as of now is 15 minutes for the fort event itself.
Appreciate the content Sea of Concepts. But, there is a faster way. Bounce between brinestone and ancient gold. These are the closest sea forts. Park on the side with the pulley/barrels with your bow sprint into the stone wall. Unload the treasury right out the side door and onto your bow sprint. Loot from the storage room at the top can be dropped directly over the side and onto the stone platform where your ship is. Drop sail and hit the next sea fort. Way fast.
You're a nice dude. Thank you for the helpful information! In all seriousness thanks for this. For us low-level players this is great to know. Cheers mate
Good video. I would agree with everything except harpooning. I have found it faster to park out front. Take the treasury loot out the door to the right and put it on the wall. It will be right next to your boat. For the storage room put the loot on the wall to the right as you exit, which will also be right in harpoon range of your boat. That way you don't have to even drop it down all the hatches.
Your a really nice dude, thank you for the really helpful information. But seriously you are soooooo helpful and have been helping me get better at the game with your videos! You are my favorite SOT youtuber! Again thank you so much!
For those who arnt great shots with the harpoon put the loot on the wooded platform it can be lowered and moved towards the opening for easier aiming using the pullies by the platform
Hey i was actually changing this idea you have. If you include shrines inbetween you can get another 200-300k. This will extend the time on the session but if you run reapers and do combinations of shrines and forts its super efficient. The best route i have found is 1.Shrine of Tribute 2. Fort Acient Gold 3. Brinestone Fort, 4. Acient Tears Shrine.
Store room loot can be harpooned from the top castle wall and vault loot can be pooned from outside the opened gate. Just park your boat on the back corner where the food barrels are. Saves time.
You can just take the two forts closest to each other and hopp them forever, you only need to be two tiles away for it to get haunted again so no need to sail this far, you can also stack the loot in the vault for 3 runs so you only have to transfer the loot every third time, i find this more chill cause it feels like wayy more progress haha
I know how to shave a lot of time, place the loot on the wall. The wall is angled so that you can have it placed half way up/down the wall. To then harpoon it all. Saves time from going floor to floor with the loot. Just make sure you orient your loot on the same wall/corner if you are skilled at it. Iv been working on it, and it works pretty well. Just do it a few times and you would of mastered it.
One thing that me and my friend discovered is that you can take a supply crate and just run around the fort and emptying barrels, after a couple forts we had like 15 pineapples
Just wanna add on. Put the storage room stuff up at the top of the side of the fortress instead of dropping it in the hatch (it makes life a lot easier) You also wanna go through their food barrels (I found 5 pineapples) The treasury room loot just y’know drop it on the pulley Make sure you bring a food crate, Storage crate Etc bc they have lots of resources. If you feel like not going on the fortress park your ship at the corner and let the phantoms come to you and they will not be able to shoot you. If I’m not wrong 5 power sword hits should kill the captain There’s a ammo crate on the second floor so I would stay near there Also do not take a blunderbuss take a flintknock (like he said) The captain spawns on the 3 bell ring wave Check for the storage key as soon as you get on the fort That’s all thanks!
Just playing for 2 weeks not with around 10 hours and mainly grinding forts in Season 9. I bought my first ship yesterday. I Farm the two forts on the left side of the maps and always sell after each fort. Never seen a other player so you really can take your time there
I definitely think Seaforts are the most immediate and engaging gold farm. Raise a Reapers or Gold Hoarders, run a circuit to three or more forts, collect fat stacks. 1 to 2 hours later nets me roughly 150k I'd say.
just a tip to make it even faster... putt a keg in the middle of a room when the boss wave spawns just lure the boss towards the keg and blow it up. When the boss dies so do the remaining phantoms. probably only saves like 15-30seconds but still.
I know it's an old video, but it's well thought out & still relevant so I was wondering something. Say you're not cool raising the Reaper flag every session, & tend to turn in after 1-3 events. Would you recommend forts or treasuries?
Hey can I ask is the two northern forts (Traitors Fate and Royal Crest) going back and forth between those two, and doing the shrine of hungering while the other guy sails, is that a good strat/makes more money than going around the map?
I just sail back and forth between Old Brinestone and Ancient Gold. By the time I clear one fort and load everything up. The other fort has respawned saves me a lot of sailing time lol
can you clear a fort, get loot outside of treasure room, sail to the next fort & loop around forts and only pickthem up after a few loops? (my question is, can you pick up reaper later while stacking treasures IN the fort?) (Also, what happens to left over loot (not in water) when server merging? thanks if you happen to know!
If you go from plunder outpost south and back and forth from those 2 forts it’s an easy short journey and the forts will have respawned the fort so you can do it again then either go to the fort on the west of the map and then travel in towards reapers and hope and grade 2 gallion isn’t camping the island otherwise you will too fight for it good luck
i think it's quicker if you take the store room loot and place it out the windows in the room! as long as you place it in a window that's within harpoon range you can harpoon straight from there to your ship
Could you optimize this with a galleon crew? Drop one pirate of at each of three forts, then circle back and pick up them up? That way you're doing 3 forts at a time?
Is there any benefit to completing each fort instead of just doing a fort, turn in at the nearest outpost, go back to the fort and clear it again, turn in, etc?
You can also just keep going back and forth from Ancient gold to old Brinestone, because by the time your done one of them the other one would have refreshed.
Start at Santuary, go to the fort west of Golden Sands, do the fort, go to golden sands and sell the item, go back to the fort and do it again, go back to golden sands and sell the item. rinse and repeat until you want ot sell the rest of the loot and go to sanctuary. Sailing the map in insane just based on wind alone. And you get to sell the quest item while doing the forts. (while its a thing)
If you have a friend I recommend dropping your friend off at the Shrine of Ancient tears right next to that fort then you go do the fort. loot it, pick up your friend, and sell at plunders
Double gun, use the pool room gate, leave the top room (it’s not worth it), play with a friend also double gunning if u can, each fort will take 3 minutes minimum if ur actually good.
Also there are always a keg on the very top and one treasure chest somewhere, which you can use to finish the sea forts faster, by blowing up the captain and put all the trinkets in the chest.
Its alot faster to go back and forth between anceint gold and brinestone. Only problem is brinestone sometimes the storeroom won't open. Its also a little faster to drop the store room loot down the side of the fortress nest to the door out the frount of the gate next to the treasurery and have you ship harpoon from the wall. Including treasureary loot. Once you get a good stack sell to reaper.
People will probably hate me for this, but the sea forts make running merchant FAR more enjoyable. The biggest issue with merchant is the lack of action, and the sea forts offer that as well as a lot of hood crates. While Reapers gives the most for this, merchant and order of souls are the next best. While maxing out profits is nice, having someone attack you while your selling at Reaper's Hideout in 2 straight sessions is not, nor is being seen on the map by everyone. Order of souls (and Reapers for that matter) has other opportunities such as ghost fleet voyages and ashen winds/skeleton fleets (should they appear). Merchant has lost shipment voyages and... what else. In addition, I keep getting lost shipment voyages with a sea fort in or around my path, meaning I can run both in one sale.
U can do one of these forts then go straight to a outpost and go straight back to same fort and do it again. U can literally go back and forth from outpost to ghost fort
cool video but i think parking the loot is inefficient that way near the sea gate, you should have opened the gate round the other side so your ship is closer and you couldve put the loot on the wall and harpoon it there. shorter walk as well and easier to park and harpoon
For the loot room on the top, just place the 4 pieces of loot on the wall above the staircase. It is the side of the fort where your boat is. Just look up and harpoon them off the top. Saves tons of time bringing them downstairs.

Since the forts reset pretty fast, you can sail between the two forts in the ancient isles for an entire session. They aren’t that far apart.

Speedy people just get done too fast for it to respawn.
Maybe for speedy people optimizing to 2 different forts that are a tiny bit further apart will be perfect so it respawns in time

Min value+ max value :2 x2,5 (with R5)

So is there a certain amount of waves you have to defeat or do they just keep spawning?
if you place the loot from the store room on one of the pillars on the top floor of the fort, then you can harpoon them from down
below in your ship
You're a swell fella. Thanks for the really caring and informative moving picture.
Thanks, young hero, from an old sailor/complete newbie.
Subscribed.😜
Love the video ..very straight and clear ..keep up the good work .happy st Patty's day
Start at Santuary, go to the fort west of Golden Sands, do the fort, go to golden sands and sell the item, go back to the fort and do it again, go back to golden sands and sell the item. rinse and repeat until you want ot sell the rest of the loot and go to sanctuary. Sailing the map in insane just based on wind alone. And you get to sell the quest item while doing the forts. (while its a thing)
Or if you run reaper obviously go to hideout when you're ready to sell the rest. Cheers.
If you have a friend I recommend dropping your friend off at the Shrine of Ancient tears right next to that fort then you go do the fort. loot it, pick up your friend, and sell at plunders
LOVE THE VID. RATHER THAN SAILING TO OTHER FORTS YOU CAN GLITCH IT AND RESPAWN THEM.
I have a tutorial up
Youre a very nice dude, thank you for the information. 🙂
I’ve been using the blunder because it’s my go-to for pve encounters but the flintlock 1 shotting phantoms is going to make this so much easier!
Double gun, use the pool room gate, leave the top room (it’s not worth it), play with a friend also double gunning if u can, each fort will take 3 minutes minimum if ur actually good.
Thank you so much, appreciate all the content m8
Also there are always a keg on the very top and one treasure chest somewhere, which you can use to finish the sea forts faster, by blowing up the captain and put all the trinkets in the chest.
Your a nice dude thank you for your helpful information
Where did you get those pink gloves at? It looks like a re-color of bilge rat gloves but pink and I can't find them anywhere.
You’re a nice dude, thankyou for the really helpful information 👍🏼
You're a nice dude, thank you for the really helpful information. fr though thanks!!
Love your vids!
You’re a great dude and we all appreciate your high quality guide and wish for you to keep up the good work
you’re a nice dude, thank you for the really helpful information
Its alot faster to go back and forth between anceint gold and brinestone. Only problem is brinestone sometimes the storeroom won't open. Its also a little faster to drop the store room loot down the side of the fortress nest to the door out the frount of the gate next to the treasurery and have you ship harpoon from the wall. Including treasureary loot. Once you get a good stack sell to reaper.
I like your content sooo much, it helps me everytime. Thanks!
Your a nice dude thank you for the really helpful info. BTW are the storeroom keys guaranteed to be in the fort? I couldn't find a couple of them
not sure if they’re guaranteed but they should be
People will probably hate me for this, but the sea forts make running merchant FAR more enjoyable.
You're a nice dude.....you allways been...love u ❤️
U can do one of these forts then go straight to a outpost and go straight back to same fort and do it again. U can literally go back and forth from outpost to ghost fort
I am super duper new to the game, like, haven't even launched it yet. How did your ammo keep going back up? I didn't see an ammo crate?
I will definitely be trying this on my next run. Thanks for being my test dummy. : ) Cheers mate
Thank you this really helped me out :)
cool video but i think parking the loot is inefficient that way near the sea gate, you should have opened the gate round the other side so your ship is closer and you couldve put the loot on the wall and harpoon it there. shorter walk as well and easier to park and harpoon
