I am so happy you are having a fabulous Iena experience! I have been hearing from others who have the vachetta straps, and they are getting a lot of wear and scratching on their straps. Mine seem to still be perfect! Wonder if it's the DE treated leather that makes the difference? :)

I love my Iena! I have the monogram but that Damier Ebene is calling me. Thanks for your observations. It’s a beautiful, functional bag!
I have the monogram and keep mine zipped and not overstuffed at all, and the zipper rubs the handle in one spot on the side that is worn against my body. Doesn't look like it's going to damage it, just scuffed it up a bit. I have been carrying mine for a little over a year, every day, and I have no other wear whatsoever, so I'm very pleased!

I bought this too, after your videos! I love it. Perfect for every day and it still looks brand new. :) I use the outside zipper for both my and my husband's car fobs.

I have my Iena MM in damier ebene and love it so so much. It was gifted to me by my daughter. I would love to have the Iena pm in Damier ebene as well.
I bought this bag after watching all your other videos. I have the Totally MM in the DE, and I agree, there is definitely a difference in the pliability of the leather straps. Have a good day!
I’ve had mine now for 6 months. I use it every day for work and sometimes I change it out on weekends. I love my purse also. It’s so comfy and the perfect size and it has a zipper for security. I use the outside pocket for my iPhone 7 Plus. 👍💖💖🌸

It is such an easy, handy, usable bag! It is squishy, though, so you may want to put a bag organizer in it for added support. I do that. I think you will LOVE it! xoxo
The zipper does touch the handles if you don't zip it and wear it over your shoulder. It tears up the monogram vachetta handles. I still love it in DE. Wish I could own both
LouisVuittonCoffeeLver That’s interesting...I didn’t know that, thank you! I always wear mine over the shoulder and unzipped, and I have absolutely no marks on the leather straps where the zipper is. I’m surprised there is so much wear to the vachetta straps compared to the treated leather. 😘

Love this bag! I have it in both Monogram and Damier Ebene and your lovely videos is one of the big reasons why!! (You're also to blame for my Duomo purchase...haha!!) I actually chose this bag over a Neverfull MM because of the zipper. I've seriously considered getting it in Damier Azur as my first Azur piece!!

Thank you for your review. My husband had gotten me the pm from Bond street in London last week and we are in Botswana. I was looking fwd to getting it
However it came with such strong plastic smell. Since we are no where near a LV store I can't return it. But I did call them and they said it's quite normal for freshly made bags to have that small as the canves is treated and I should air it out and it will go away so fingers cross. But it is a beautiful bag and I love how lightweight and strong it is and the zipper is amazing
Just hope the small would go away. I just miss the new LV smell:(
Oh my goodness! I'm sorry yours came with a strong smell. Mine was normal canvas smell, if any at all. I wonder what they are doing differently? I do hope the smell goes away for you soon. Enjoy the bag! It's a beauty! :)
Just Jennifer I called them and they told me that it is because the bag is brand new from the factory and I should let it air it out which I did and this morning it had glazing on it. I had taken pictures and emailed them. Sucks i am in a country with no LV stores. Never had this issues before so hoping they can sort it out. Got a key clay as well which is beautiful and has no issues. Fingers and toes cross.
Hey Jennifer... Sooo I decided to keep my Iena after all. The more I use it, the more I enjoy it. :) Also.. I've heard that the straps touch the zipper if you wear the bag unzipped, I am one to do that with all my bags but because of this that I have heard, I have been afraid that it'll cause wear on the straps, so I make sure to always zip my bag closed, just in case!
Liliana Salazar Hi!! I have heard this, as well, but I have not had a single mark, scratch or anything on my straps where the zipper is. I keep mine unzipped probably 85% of the time. I’ll have to keep my eye out for this issue. 😘
I think this issue is more likely to happen with the vachetta on the Monogram print. Mine is only scuffing on the strap that is the closest to my body on my dominant arm. I feel like this is completely inevitable and it drives me crazy!

Hi would you carry a small laptop inside? I’m considering this bag for worn but not sure whether it would be too heavy for the handles and maybe ruin the structure?
Hi! A 12" laptop fits perfectly, and a 15" laptop fits, but diagonally and is more of a struggle. The weight of it does strain the handles a bit, but it's more of a "how it would look" concern, rather than a "might tear the bag" concern. I have never know LV canvas to tear away from the handles, and at one point I read somewhere that the Neverfull can hold 250 lbs, or something crazy like that. I hope this helps.

Jennifer, I was just checking it see if you received my email about selling my new mono Iena mm. I have never used the bag one time. I got it home and realized it was to big for me since I usually use crossbody bags. I have the receipt verifying that the bag is authentic. So if you or anyone is interested please let me know. Such a practical bag! Do you think you have less wear because you primarily drive? I think this would get destroyed in the train but I don't know!
Not sure...! I don't baby it at all, and when I am a passenger in the car, I put it on the floor at my feet. I have also shoved it under the seat in front of me on a plane trip or two. :)
I really want to buy this bag after I watched your video. People said that I should get Neverfull, this bag looks like diaper bag. I think even though Neverfull is the most popular bag, i saw it every where. So i want to buy something different. I am on my way to save up my bank account for this beauty.
I just wondered what the strap drop length is? Is the strap drop longer than the Neverful?
Heather Welbourn I have this same bag and yes, the strap drop is longer than the neverful mm.
Hi Heather! I waited till I got back home to measure each bag's strap drop again, and I have to say that mine are truly exactly the same length. 9 and 1/4 inches. (between the Neverfull MM and the Iena MM) I hope that helps, but it probably confuses the matter for you, given the difference observations. :)
