Jennifer how does that leather protector work??? It has never occurred to me to apply anything to the raw leather. I'm always so scared I will stain it. You should do a video demonstrating how you protect the leather. Enjoy your new purchase.

Hi Jennifer! Not sure if you still check comments on this video but i was just wondering how the Iena compares to a Saleya in your opinion if you’ve got any experience to share? I’ve found some great deals on a couple Saleyas on a local preloved luxury marketplace but I’m not sure if i should go for those or an Iena now that I’ve binge watched all your Iena review videos! Hello! Unfortunately, I don’t have any experience with the Salaya bag, so I really can’t give you a comparison. I do, however, still adore my Ienas (I have it in monogram and damier ebene)

Is the LV Iena in this you tube video the Iena MM or Iena PM? What are the dimensions of your LV Iena bag?
It is the MM. At the time I made the video, it was so new they only had the one size and only called it the Iena. Later they came out with the PM, and this one became the MM. I don't have it with me currently, so I can't measure it for you, but I believe the dimensions are online.

Also, the interior is exactly the same as my Belmont except the Belmont is not as roomy as this one. This is such a great alternative to the neverfull
Yes, it's kind of like a Neverfull with a zip top and outside pocket! :)
This was very helpful, great job! I have a delightful pm and two speedy 30's so now I know what to expect if I want this bag. Love that outside pocket and that both sunglasses and cellphone fit! I don't have a neverful so I'm wondering about the shoulder straps, having double straps do you find that one of them slips off your shoulder or no?
What was your experience on using the pre-leather products on this bag?

Hi. Great comparison vid! Anyways I wanted to share how I stuff all my LV bags, used to stuff it with plastic bags, but I got tired of pulling them out and getting all over the place so now I use TRAVEL PILLOWS! Yes! The tiny little squared one that you get get at Walmart for less than $3!! So I bought for all my bags!! As for my keepalls I stuff with 2 regular pillows. Just the cheapest pillows works fine!! Just sharing ideas from one handbag lover to another!! 🤗

You have me so drooling over the Iena!!! I had my heart set on a Speedy B 30 but now, I've changed my mind. I have had a Totally PM and so "totally" regretted selling it because it was just so functional. I have to have the Iena now!!! Arrrghhh!!!! Husband is going to kill me.

Hi Jennifer! You do fabulous videos!! I am wondering, for weeks now, searching, how this compares to the totally MM. I am really thinking I prefer the older model ! No videos on that yet but do you have any experience w/ the totally MM? I need more of a "tote" than a handbag so I'm so so torn!
I don't have any experience with the Totally MM...but from what I have seen and read, I think the size is very similar. I believe the Totally canvas may be a bit stiffer and the Iena canvas a bit smooshier. If you want it to stand up super straight and not "puddle" down a smidge, the Totally might be better for you. I love the smooshiness of the Iena, personally. I often wonder how easy it is to use the side pockets on the outside of the Totally. I'm guessing it's not a problem, or I would have heard something about it. If you have the opportunity to go to a store and see both in person side by side, I think that would help immensely! Good luck!
I'm on the fence between the iena vs the lumineuse. Have you had problems with the handles cracking on your lumineuse?
I have had cracking of my handles on my Lumi, yes. I found out that I can have the handles reglazed, but it will cost quite a bit. So far the cracking has not been bad enough to make me feel like it effects the looks (you have to examine it very closely to see it) or the usage. Not thrilled that it did this, but I still adore that bag!! Good luck with your decision :)

Hi Elly! YES, mine came with the lock. Another viewer said the same thing, that her's came without the lock. It took three calls to LV before she found someone to verify that she was supposed to get the lock with the purchase. I'm so sorry you have to go through all that. So frustrating. Hopefully they will just send you a lock right away.
Just purchased the iena saturday, I am loving it. I would like to know about the "loving my bags protectant" and whether it changes the color at all... please advise.
Hi Rosario! Congratulations on an amazing bag! I didn't end up putting the Loving My Bags protectant on the Iéna after all, so I'm sorry I can't answer that question for you. I have only used the LMB cleaner so far, and that worked very well. Good luck with your lovely bag....it's a beauty!! :)

Hi Kellie! Yes, that is interesting!! I only see the one size on the Louis Vuitton website. And it doesn't state online whether it is the PM, the MM or the GM. I'm guessing the one I have is the MM. Hi! From what I measure on my own bags, the strap drop on the Iéna seems to be about 1/2 inch longer than the Neverfull MM. :)

I actually was able to purchase the Iena PM at my local store in Orlando. It was the only one my store had. Inwas able to find the bag on the LV UK site though. I to love this bag as it is so functional.

I believe you are referring to the Lumineuse PM in empriente leather(?) If so, it is no longer available on the website, but is available on the preloved market.

Hi Brenda. I will be sure to let you know if it slips down the shoulders. I will give it a good few weeks of use, and do a review video! So far, judging from other LV bags I've owned with these same type straps (Cabas and Bucket), I'll bet the straps are great!! :)
What a informative review although it swayed me away from getting it at this time. I love my Totally PM and I also have a Delightful PM I haven't carried yet. Both of those of mine are in the mono print so looking more for a Damier Ebene. I will wait to see if this one comes out in DE! Do you happen to know anything about the Caissa Hobo Bag? I have got my eye on that one right now.

Thank you! I suppose you could use the bandoliere strap (connected to the should strap rings on the Iena) to make this bag a cross body. It would be a bit bulky, but would work for long commutes or whatever, for sure!
Hi I realize the measurements are online, but LV.com doesn't always get them right. Would you mind letting me know what the measurements are of this bag, both across the top & bottom, the height and the width across the bottom please? Also have you had the Totally? If so is this Iena MM larger or smaller than the Totally pm or mm? Thank you for the video, looking into getting the DE one. :) Melissa
I do not have a Totally to compare it to, but I showed all measurements and "what fit's" in my recent Iena MM in Damier Ebene video.

Oh, ok! The bottom/base measures 12 inches across (the longest part) by 6 1/2 inches (the shorter part). Imagine the bottom as a rectangle....the long side is 12 inches and the short side is 6 1/2. But the sides start widening out immediately as you go up the bag to the top. Does this make any sense?? Ha. I'm trying!! :)

I see that there is still only one size on the Louis Vuitton website (and it doesn't say PM, MM, or GM) So, I don't even know which size I have. I'm curious as to why they would have different things in their stores than what they have online. SO confusing! Thank you for letting me know :)

Oh, that is a tough question! I pretty much sell anything that is just not working for me, or it has "run it's course" , so to speak. But I will say that the ones I reach for the most are: Iena, Speedy 30 DE, Neverfull, Pochette Metis, and my Hermes Evelynne and Birkin. xo

Loving My Bags protectant. I have used their cleanser before, but have never tried the protectant. I ended up returning the Iéna, so didn't end up protecting it, after all. :)
Can I ask a question, I just called LV and asked if this bag had the padlock and key and they said it didn't. Did yours automatically come with it?
Hi Erica. YES, my bag automatically came with it! I ordered it from vuitton.com..... So strange that they said no.
That's what I can't figure out, it clearly has the holes for the padlock however, on their website (us.louisvuitton.com), it doesn't say it comes with it and I called twice to see if the first woman was wrong... So weird.
I got mine when it was so new that it wasn't even listed as an MM on the website. (apparently there is a PM size found only in stores at this time- not yet online...) so maybe it was so new that someone was confused? I really don't know. That's so strange.

Do the shoulder straps slide off easily ?
I ended up returning the Iena because of my crazy worry about the tabs curling up in the future. But I have had several bags with similar double vachetta handles like the Iena, and I found them to be very comfortable and did not slide down my shoulder at all! :)

Hi Riley, the handle drop is about 9.5-10 inches (depending on whether or not the bag is slouching down a bit) :)

The leather front zipper pull on the MM is two hanging pieces (one long piece of leather that is looped through the zipper hole, but two ends of the leather just like the PM) but they are right against each other, stacked, sort of, so it looks like one piece in the pic on the vuitton site. Does that make sense?
If you look closely at the zipper pull on the Damier Azur Iena MM on the LV website, you can see that the leather is just hanging straight (whereas, on the PM pic, the leather pull is splayed out in a "v"), but it is still only the one leather pull. The difference is how the ends of it hang. :)

That is certainly a tough decision! I love them both, but for different reasons. The Neverfull is basically a classic now and has stood the test of time. It is more of a tote and can be packed to overflowing with no problems! The Iena is newer and more of a shoulder bag type "tote". It seems to be more of a daily purse type bag in many ways, and offers the security and convenience of of the top and front zip (plus interior pockets). I think it all depends on what you will use it for most, and whether you want a classic bag or something a bit different than what you see a lot. Good luck....!!
Tough, tough, tough! Decided by which print you want and what are you going to use it for? which season maybe? I use my LV NF MM in Azur during spring and summer...but I am planning on getting a IENA MM in Ebene for Winter...because of the snow and extra stuff I will carry (gloves, scarfs, hat). This video was a great help!
