I have the fantastic Ford Bronco Sport Badlands 2021 and the 400w inverter is very good to charge my Bluetti Ac200L and Jackery 1000. Ac200L is a powerstation which provide 2400w output , 1200w solar, or 560w from alternator with Charger1 module. It can run everything at home and outside. The inverter helps to keep all my powerstation charged during driving. I use the inverter also for air compressor Dewalt as 12v is not powerful enough. I was a Ford guy for a lot of years and want to like the newer trucks, but they’re overpriced for what you’re getting. I bought a 21 Tacoma and am in no hurry to get rid of it despite its quirks. I used to drive a company Explorer with the selector nob on the center console. Sure got in the way of a good place to otherwise rest your cell phone or other items. I just wonder if Ford offered a basic Ranger with 4WD, a six speed do-it-yourself transmission, and something naturally aspirated yet fairly powerful yet economical, how well it would sell? Include a comfortable yet easily maintainable interior and the basic, uncomplicated creature comforts. In a cab that’s easy to see out of when backing.
I got mine in Oct 2022. Brake Lights are on the tailgate not the cab in the Aus version. Theres dual zone AC in the Aus version and the rear arm rest lol. Mine has 3L turbo diesel v6. Also has 4A (all wheel drive setting for wet/slippery roads) which this one does not. Mine isn't a raptor btw. Maybe you guys get a better version with more stuff for more $$ than this. Seems you guys get completely different engines too. Raptor here has twin turbo v6 at 397.1 hp, or 292 kw, diff suspension etc. In Australia the government made commercial vehicles 100% tax deduction, so there's heaps around. The concession went up to 150k, so theres also a heap of Rams, 150s and SIlverados all over the place.
Are you carrying passengers constantly? Likely 99% of the time only front seat/seats are occupied. I’ve had no complaints when carrying passengers in mine Okla hot summers, the air system works fast and efficient.
There is vents under the front seats just not on the back of the console. It's not like it has alot of cubic footage like a full size vehicle. I'd rather have it, but it's not a deal breaker.
BINGO: I'm considering Ranger Lariat, Canyon Elevation (interiors are ugly AT4 and above), and Tacoma TRD Sport with 6-speed manual and Premium Package. I'm getting frustrated not being able to get what I want and might just keep my 2010 F-150 FX-4 fully-loaded SuperCab w/ moonroof with only 86,000 miles => a configuration that no longer exists.
Unfortunately Ford was unable to deliver any Rangers during the month of Feb, I'm guessing they has similar issues to GM. Lots of trucks built, but not delivered...So I ended up going with another brand.
GM is by far the best bang for the buck. 2.7 turbo gives v8 power. Auto 4wd and a limited slip rear. The hybrid taco will cost a fortune and only give 30 more pound feet of torque than the Colorado
2:26 Are we seeing the return of stake pockets on a mid size truck as being a normal thing, again? I may have found my next vehicle, never understood why stake pockets were removed from the Tacoma and Frontier. There are times that I need more volume to stack yard waste or other items, when I had my 07 Tundra or my 12 RAM 2500 I would build wooden slate sides that drop in to the stake pockets. I've been thinking about a newer generation mid size as a tertiary vehicle for the utility use instead of a trailer. It's good to see what competition can do for this segment.
I’m probably in the minority here, but I think Ford really mailed-it in with the aesthetics of the basic Ranger. It’s just not a handsome truck, it’s very bland to me & highly forgettable. New Taco, GM twins…Frontier all blow Ford away in the looks department. Ford screwed-up the timing of the new Ranger reveal too, right before the new Taco. After Taco was unveiled the Ranger was forgotten about.
My Australian ranger xlt has no air-conditioning vents in the rear , no complaints from passengers in our hot Australian climate 40 plus degrees , not Celsius
Try finding a Tacoma! I was working with a dealership here in Florida watching one that was "in production." The Internet Sales Manager told me the ETA was less than 7 days. Two days later, it was gone from their website. When I inquired, he told me they traded it to another dealership.
It's strange to me to see Americans glad they got a global FORD TRUCK just like the rest of the world. It used to be that we in Brazil had to hope we got the cars Americans got. It shows how the dynamics of the automobile market shifts over time.
I personally would get the xlt trim. I'm not interested in the chrome look. I again personally would stay away from the raptor, way to much money and not to mention I don't need to drive a speed demon. Lastly I'm not sure how this truck will stack up against the other mid-size trucks because I don't think it has an aggressive stance, look and over-all off-road capability unless you go, Raptor.
You can get Lariat with sport appearance package, he made it sound like the Lariat is only available with chrome....it is not. I ordered mine with the sport appearance package and FX4 off-road
Good luck finding one! All the Ford dealerships are trying to move their overpriced big pickups, so they’re not gonna be interested in carrying these yet.

Almost a direct hit Ford. Almost. A few things that prevented a bullseye: No Sunroof option. No Heated and Cooled Seat Option. No rear seat HVAC??? Lastly, all Ford trucks have a Platinum model. Where is the Platinum with all the afore mentioned options and power deployable running boards? C'mon Ford. You introduced the truck last...June?? And dealers are still not taking orders until May? This should be the most thoroughly tested and reliable Ford ever. Lets Hope, because I've been waiting a long time for my new Ranger. With a sunroof.

The rear seats also fold down to give you a flat surface. Something that not shown on a lot of these reviews.
How hard is it to put 4WD auto in it?
No rear vents!! Seriously Ford!!! I’m a Ford guy and I would not buy this thing just because of that.
Open the window
Are you carrying passengers constantly? Likely 99% of the time only front seat/seats are occupied. I’ve had no complaints when carrying passengers in mine Okla hot summers, the air system works fast and efficient.
There is vents under the front seats just not on the back of the console. It's not like it has alot of cubic footage like a full size vehicle. I'd rather have it, but it's not a deal breaker.
Exactly! Ford stiffed their own country, but gave rear vents to the rest of the world. 😂
The cab isn't that big. How far are the passengers from the front vents really.
Is the production on these still halted? Been wanting to down size from a f150
Looks sick. If i didn't have a paid off f150 id get a ranger
Same here: 2010 F-150 FX-4 SuperCab with only 86,000 miles. Original price - $42,000.
Looks better than before. I just hope that they'll make them affordable to the blue collar, working class people that want to get one....
Have the outgoing Ranger. I hate what they did with this one. Prefer both the Canyon and Tacoma over this.
Got one on order without the chrome.
Unfortunately Ford was unable to deliver any Rangers during the month of Feb, I'm guessing they has similar issues to GM. Lots of trucks built, but not delivered...So I ended up going with another brand.
They did a good job on this one! I could not stand the last one with that 2007 Ford Edge interior it had! lol
Hey texas trucks I recently got a 2024 Roush super duty and I was wondering if you guys could review one would be cool🙌🏽
Raptor !! Can't wait until it drops.
I dont see a 6' box with crew cab mentioned. Will this be available Ford?
No: one configuration only, just like the GM twins.
Prefer the look of the Nissan Frontier
The nice thing is you can skip the Crome package which that’s what I
Did
The Chrome Appearance Package is an additional $215. The Ranger looks better without the chrome.
Nice enough video but based on the title I was expecting some comparison to the Colorado and Tacoma.
The ranger raptor is the only trim I’d consider.. this looks horrible.. I’m curious about the reliability of the ecobost?
Pretty nice looking truck, but nothing compared to the new trucks from GM or the new Tacoma.
GM is by far the best bang for the buck. 2.7 turbo gives v8 power. Auto 4wd and a limited slip rear. The hybrid taco will cost a fortune and only give 30 more pound feet of torque than the Colorado
I agree. I really like those Tacomas, but man they have gotten so overpriced it's ridiculous.@@dawsongranger4940
The styling looks like they stuck a new front clip on a 2010 Explorer Sport Trac and called it a day.
First you need to see one on the showroom floor. There isn’t one owned by a private owner in the country. Try and find one on a dealership lot.
Any vehicle without rear ac in Texas is out. Next please.
My Australian ranger xlt has no air-conditioning vents in the rear , no complaints from passengers in our hot Australian climate 40 plus degrees , not Celsius
Is there as much room in the back seat vs the Maverick?
Yes there is based on our back to back sitting.
This new model range are designed in Melbourne Australia they started too designed it back in 2016 of course the us model will be different
Ford calls it a fender vent. I believe it's functional this time, but not sure that matters much.
It needs a real front bumper instead of more plastic .
It looks better than the older Ranger, but Ford has too many recalls and quality issues. I’ll probably buy another Tacoma when I’m ready to trade. 😑
As long as your ok with no room in the back seats
21’ Ranger and 21’ Escape. No recalls that I’m aware of. Both have performed well.
19 Ranger, zero recalls.
This Lariat has the Chrome package...you can get it with the sport appearance package
Sport Appearance Package is included: Chrome Appearance Package is $215.
Its a shame Ford dont offer a long bed version for the 4 door model.
I hate those long screens.
Only credit challenged buy Ford and GM midsize trucks. Tacoma is where it’s at. King Tacoma 👑
This is one of the stupidest comments I’ve ever seen.
Try finding a Tacoma! I was working with a dealership here in Florida watching one that was "in production." The Internet Sales Manager told me the ETA was less than 7 days. Two days later, it was gone from their website. When I inquired, he told me they traded it to another dealership.
Looks great but the turbo is 1200 bucks waiting to go out.
No rear vents in 2024..... no buy
How can Ford make the F150 look so good and the Ranger an abomination to the eyes
It's strange to me to see Americans glad they got a global FORD TRUCK just like the rest of the world. It used to be that we in Brazil had to hope we got the cars Americans got. It shows how the dynamics of the automobile market shifts over time.
Where is the steel bumper? Sure stow your phone in the door and pop it open while doing 55 mph
Why is your door open I g at 55mph?
@@lordrayden3045 did you not notice the door handle design?
all the chrome trim is UAF!
You can delete it.
It's a $215 option. It's better to skip it!
I believe it’s a 10R80 transmission.
Not the 10R60
Useless truck with that short bed. Would be nice if they had an option with a long bed.
Hope the painted emblems don’t wear off the buttons like my GMC….looks so cheap
Well that is unfortunate
Until they put the 3.0 turbo charged v6 I it, I’ll be keeping my money. For that much money I want a truly hot motor in it.
We want a coyote in it!
Taco 2.4t...278hp/317 Lb-ft
or?
Ranger 2.3t...270/310
Great question, something else to consider, ford 10 speed or Toyota 8 speed.
@@TexasTruckChannel great point 👍
or wait for the 2.7t that is supposed to be available late 2024, problem solved.
Tacoma drops to 270 in the 6-speed manual.
You can delete the chrome.
Chrome Appearance Package is a $215 OPTION.
Good luck finding one! All the Ford dealerships are trying to move their overpriced big pickups, so they’re not gonna be interested in carrying these yet.
Ranger is very boring to look at
If an Escape and Maverick gave birth to a truck...
Yes
310hp/390lbft torque on my Colorado with just as good tech features and 7700lb towing capacity. Idk who would even consider a ranger showcased in the video other than fanboys...
People who prefer reliability.😁
Almost a direct hit Ford. Almost. A few things that prevented a bullseye: No Sunroof option. No Heated and Cooled Seat Option. No rear seat HVAC??? Lastly, all Ford trucks have a Platinum model. Where is the Platinum with all the afore mentioned options and power deployable running boards? C'mon Ford. You introduced the truck last...June?? And dealers are still not taking orders until May? This should be the most thoroughly tested and reliable Ford ever. Lets Hope, because I've been waiting a long time for my new Ranger. With a sunroof.
Platinum model is now available in Australia, no sunroof tho, Heated & Cooled seats yes
This was a play-it-safe update. Still a contender but barely.
I test drove one last week as I’m in need of a new truck, and that thing was absolute garbage…Delayed throttle, brake peddle goes to the floor, steering wheel was to easy to turn it felt like a video game.my 2004 Colorado drove better and is quieter
By looks the zr2 looks better I’m ford guy .. right now it doesn’t have 2.7 either so Colorado wins
I like the ZR2 setup, I don't like GM making a turbo engine with 27lbs of boost from the factory...makes me wonder about longevity
@@Vultite 2.7 has been proven in the full size silverado already and at a higher tow capacity even.
F150 2.7 will be available later in the launch.
It needs a long bed and a 3.3L NA engine. I don’t want a turbo engine unless it’s a diesel. But that will never happen in the USA.
The new Canyon is a lot better.
I heard the v6 is coming back
In Australia we have v6 diesel rangers and v6 petrol ecoboost in the raptor
2.7 same as the f150. It will be available a few months after the release of the 4 cylinder.
Chrome wont get ya home. Ill stick with my Gladiator and the 3" lift and 35s.
You can delete the chrome.
Is it smaller 🤔
Wider and longer.
Thanks to Ford Australia, the ranger has now become a global pickup again. If only you they'd allow a Bi-turbo diesel variant.
Australia has the 2.2 twin turbo and v6 diesel variants , the raptor has a v6 ecoboost petrol motor
2l bi-turbo
@@bradrowe7131 you mean the 2.0 Bi-turbo.
We get the same specs as you do for the African models. Only thing we don't get is the Sport.
And the Ranger platinum doesn't come with the flexible rack.
The V6 diesel is only available on the Wildtrak and Platinum.
