I’m looking at both the Gladiator & the Tacoma for my business. Doing a rear seat delete on whichever I choose to get, and man…the Tacoma back seat area is SMALL. Man. Seriously. 😳

@@TexasTruckChannel got myself the off-road in white with the 14” screen and heated seats at MSR with no dealer adds, everything i need and nothing i don’t hahaha. gonna take a 3 day road trip on the way back.

The main reason why people are using spray in liner on the composite back is because without it it's very slick
Don’t know why they chose it over the rubber mat though. It’s much better at keeping things in place. Wish you could build Toyota’s and not just get what’s allocated.
Another guy was saying the spray in bedliner tears up his gear where the bed mat keeps everything in place like the other guy said but does not tear up your gear... I picked up a rough country bed mat $99 free shipping for my Tacoma👍🤙💪💯

Got the '24 Ford Ranger FX4 which I would consider a close competitor in the midsize Market to this and I have to say, I think I much prefer the Ford. Price for one and interior room for another. To each their own huh ? ... But look forward to your future reviews of the Taco.

That’s an expensive OR package without a power driver seat, big screen, power outlet, leather seats, and heated seats. The only thing that gets me interested is the manual transmission on the SR. I hope the SR5 gets it.

Sounds like you need a new dealer if you had to haggle for MSRP. Its company policy here that NO NEW vehicles are over MSRP. IDK, the Canyon AT4 I would still argue is a better value.
The back seats are a deal breaker.
278 mile range on a full tank is unacceptable.
After tax and dealer mark up that's a 60k truck now, and it's not even loaded.
We are not saying it’s cheap. Nothing seems to be today. But we paid sticker, this morning. Mark ups are fading away.

Do you really believe Mark ups are going away? Once the dealerships are gone the company can charge whatever they want. Ford,GMC,Toyota etc. The large car companies don't want to save you money. They want the money the dealers are taking in. They probobly will not pass it off to us unless we are in a economic decline and their sales are bad. This is just buissness.

We certainly might! Again we kept the mods from the gladiator for potential future use.

It feels like we did too! We blinked and it had 8k miles on it. We bought it for 31k, traded it in at 33k. Luck with timing and hunting the deal on the front end.
Not a top trim. But priced like a top trim. Toyota tax is out of control. 11K CAN package required JUST to get short box and auto. BS Toyota.

It’s a bit of a trade off because the wheel base is crazy long on the jeep
But the Gladiator seat is stuck…in a Gladiator. No thanks.
I've been in the back seat of a tacoma before and I had no issues, but maybe it's because I'm asian.

We’ll see how long this tiny 4 banger turbo will last in a truck. I’m betting not nearly as long as a 3.5 or 4.0 V6 in the previous generations.
They will last as king as owners are willing to replace expensive turbos.

Other than the fact it had an optional diesel, it's a Jeep and only questionable "men" drive jeeps. Lol.
Like the interior of the Tacoma but the rest of the truck just seems underwhelming to me

Remains to be seen with the new unproven power train that contains almost 50% new components. Ford has been doing it for almost a decade. I'll trust the carry over turbo over a new design any day
@@marklihsu it’s not new or unproven, the turbo 4 cylinder has been in numerous other Toyota vehicles for almost 6 years now in other markets. The 50% of new parts are just beefed up variants of the parts as this motor now is going into a truck platform.
@@marklihsu ford most recently has had serious manufacturing missteps. Similar to when they wernt putting the correct oil pans on their focus rs’s
