This is so fun and I have all this stuff at home so I don’t have to go buy stuff! Yay. Can’t wait to make pumpkins. You are such a talented artist. Thanks for this video. I love how sustainable this art form is. I can go through my trash and repurpose stuff for art. Love it! ❤❤❤
I e watched several of your videos and was just curious if there is a special paint you need to use for paper mache? And don’t have to do any preparation before painting like sealing the item? Thanks!!
I use regular acrylic paint, but I make a DIY "gesso" by mixing some corn starch in for my first layer. I have a vid called "The best way to paint your sculptures models and minis" that breaks down the process. 😁
I wanna make a huge one to put in the top of my fridge, but the only filling I have in enough amount is some foam shreds I intend to use to fill up a beanbag chair I'm sewing. So, my question is, can I cut the pumpkin to take my stuffing back later?
Using paper that's not too thick helps. Ripping (not cutting) helps to blend the edges, and using a thick primer helps disguise the edges too. Hope that helps!
I can't wait to see the finished pumpkins.
Me too! I gotta get to work! 😜
I had a lot of options of the pumpkin I sketch out. also have a wonderful day.

Yay! Woohoo! Let's turn that trash into pumpkins! 🎃🚮🎃
Truly excellent ideas!!!
Thanks, Tracy!
Do you have a video showing how you made this one using cardboard?
I'm working on it now to post this weekend 😊

💯 That's exactly what I did in my latest video! Just make sure you do enough layers of paper maché that it doesn't collapse without the stuffing. 🎃
How are you able to have such a flat surface at the end? With mine you can clearly see the borders of all the pieces of paper I used
