Great video Jack! Glad you revisited the game. I've been a Cyberpunk stan since day one. Cyberpunk is one of these stories that just gets better as you get older. V starts out as a hungry dumb ambitious kid who wants to get rich but by the end of the game he just wants to be happy and spend more time with his loved ones its a very relatable and a mature character ark especially when compared to most RPGs where your character is treated like a god by every npc he meets.

Just wanna start by saying I’ve been looking forward to this video for months. Really enjoy your videos. Advertisements in Cyberpunk aren’t meant to be GTA style. They’re meant to represent the world itself. There’s a bunch of lore to simplify, but basically, in a city that’s run by corpos, your attention is your most valuable commodity, and money your second. Advertisements need to pull your attention at all costs. That’s why they’re so gory and striking. Another creator made a really good video on this, “Cyberpunk 2077 in a World of Ads,” definitely check that out if you have time. As far as the story goes and “taking too long,” it is a combat game that has really fun gameplay, but it’s also a deep story game. Personally, I think good storytelling takes time, and has real meaning behind it if you stop to think about it. There have been multiple times in the game where I’m on my second play through and hears something and went “WHAT? No way I didn’t notice that, that’s such a cool small detail”. Anyway, I guess it just depends on what you’re playing the game for. I love story games, and Cyberpunk is my absolute favorite. @@ComradeBread That's fair. I'm on my third playthrough (Judy romance, need I say more?) and there can definitely be boring parts another time around. But I definitely think they were important, no, essential, to my first playthrough, which is really what story games try to achieve. Personally, I couldn't tell you one thing they could change about the story to make it better. ( Except for romancing Songbird :((((( )

in a world where everyone has been numbed to the depressing slog that is 2077, the only things that make anyone feel anything is tantalising sex and hyper-violence, sometimes both with the existence of illegal XBDs that are basically snuff films.
This sandevistan comment made me realize that Jack might have never watched Edgerunners. If anyone has the slightest interest in the Cyberpunk world you'd absolutely love it. The turnaround on Cyberpunk started when edgerunners came out
I cannot second this comment enough. If you haven’t seen it there’s now at least two internet strangers saying go watch it. It is an emotionally moving series.

i played this game on day 1 on my ps4. Terrible experience. But i still played through the entire game oddly enough. And through all the bugs i could still get an ok experience. I was captivated by the story so much and its definitely a top 3 story game for me. Im glad people realized how good cyberpunk is, it just took looking under the bugs for everyone to understand. Good video jack
I never had anything Game Breaking expect the Elevator at the heist. Only thing that sucked was the Frames for Sec and low grade graphics. I had the old Day one Ps4 and stuck with it
The current version is so different from the launch version of the game. The gameplay and progression were unfocused and unbalanced and made playing it a grind while it was simultaneously unchallenging. No one had complaints about the story at launch besides lifepaths feeling underbaked. It most that people held CDPR to an expectation that they set for themselves and was pretty disappointed that they didn't meet it.
This game is legit staggering, grantee I never played until 2.0, but it’s truly a next gen game for me, the first person aspect and how everything is animated in such a way, it’s an incredible game
You found some awesome locations to film in that really suit the vibe of the video. Looks awesome! I thought the bridge was a green screen until the bird screamed lol
I didn't play the game back when it launched and I waited for it to get fixed. Just bought the game recently and I finished it yesterday. Out of 100+ hours I played, I encountered a bug in Sandra dorsett rescue mission, an audio bug in the mission where you had to down the Kang Tao AV and a couple of ps5 force close errors. So glad to see they finnaly delivered the dystopian cyberpunk world.
Jack, somehow you always capture exactly how I feel about these games. I am in one of the lucky camps that I had ZERO knowledge of all the bugginess and all the initial hype, and I went in totally blind earlier this year. All I can say -- is this is now my standard for this type of immersive experience. It blows the competition out of the water. And I haven't even played Phantom Liberty! AND they're adding MOAR stuff! Incredible.
Dude you've become my favourite creator over the past year and the fact that other people don't see how much quality you've packed into your videos is crazy.
Dude, your videos are incredible. I haven't played most of the games you cover - nor will I in many cases - but you put so much character and passion into talking about them, that I end up caring. I think that's super impressive.
23:24 It's actually a recurring joke in the Witcher community, there's many ocassion where Geralt action and dialog are vastly different than what it seems from the option. Most famous example is the "[shove Dijkstra aside]" where instead of pushing/bumping him out of the way, Geralt just WWE the fck out of him and break his leg *again* 🤣
Wow, what a small world... I actually made the wallpaper that appears at 1:05 in the video! Of course, credit goes to CDPR for the original art, but I photoshopped the pictures into wallpaper format and posted it on Reddit almost 10 years ago. That was back when the Witcher was a much less well known a had a small, passionate community. What a fun blast from the past. Great video as always, Jack.
I love Keanu Reeves but I agree. He isn’t a great voice actor, and I think that’s because in a lot of these more action roles he’s done. In movies like Matrix and John Wick, he and his character have a decent back story but he’s also written in a way that people can easily just kinda slot themselves in his place, like an actual video game protagonist. In Cyberpunk, he’s his own character that has to react to YOU. Idk if it’s just hard to subconsciously separate Keanu from the protagonist role or if Keanu just doesn’t emote or react quite strongly enough to be in a supporting role. He’s still great, but just goes to show the difference between a movie actor and a motion capture/voice actor (could also just be how he’s written/the juxtaposition between the fast life of NC and the slow cadence of Johnny)
I agree Keanu just doesn't do that great of a job here it's long been a criticism of his that he doesn't emote well and really the only role that I've felt he was entirely believable and wasn't a Neo or John Wick type of character is Ted Theodore Logan lol. He's not terrible in this game but with everyone else doing a fantastic job in that department his lesser performance stands out more. He does sound more natural in the DLC though.
Wow this was incredibly done. The time it takes to make one of these videos must be absolutely insane. I think I speak for every one of your viewers when I say that we appreciate you and probably take you for granted. Clicked the video so fast and what a way to spend my lunch break. Love your videos as always, and I will watch them for as long as they come out. Our savior, Jack Sather.
I started my first playthrough right after 40 hours of Starfield, and it felt like whiplash in the best way possible. Have no idea how it was before 2.0, but it ended up being one of my favorite games this year.
@@sebastianrygaard4633maybe I should try it again. At launch I thought it ran like crap and was buggy as hell. They also lied about a lot of features that straight up didnt get included like the train.
before 2.0 a significant amount of people experienced constant crashes due to memory leak and other bugs that then led to corrupted save states. I somehow managed to play about 8 hrs in that scummy pile of garbage state the game was in and although i felt scammed by CDPR and wont buy any of their games again, after 2.0 they fixed these major bugs and its actually decent. Might need to visit the high seas next time tho to make sure the game actually works before i buy anything
@@spas6433 No, they didn't lie. A lot of these "promised features" were passed around by fans as confirmed when all they really were were rumors and fan speculation. CDPR NEVER confirmed a metro and iirc they confirmed it wasn't in the game pre-release.
@@mandu6665 No, a lot of the promised features werent random things fans came up with. A lot of them were in promotional teasers and were never denied by cdpr. The blame still lies on them. The game is good now but they fully avoided denying any of these claims, and promised features like the wanted system which never got added. By this same logic bethesda has technically never lied about their games. There are 200 slide combinations for fallout 3’s ending. The building system for fallout 4 does just work together. Fallout 76 does have 16x better draw distances. It still isnt right to gloss over the reality of it and not deny any rumours that develop from that. Honestly enjoyed this video more than I thought I would have. You clearly put alot of effort, with your awesome outfit, all the clips, and edits. Amazing job man, you definitely kept me entertained! I agreed with most of what you said. Glad people like you are enjoying this redemption like I have! Funny enough a few days ago I watched Suzi's video on Cyberpunk 2077 which also blew me away, she killed that, as well as her role in the game! Anyways, I'll definitely sub now, and I look forward to more content for you!
I find it really strange this review focuses so negativley on the "people pontificating about their place in this world" aspect cos that's basically the whole point behind cyberpunk fiction... Ghost in the shell, Akira, Bladerunner, and pretty much every other cyberpunk story has moments where characters struggle with their existence and rage against the machine.
Bro i love this style that you are creating in your videos, recording in different scenarios really make the whole thing dynamic Keep up the great work!
I could be wrong but in my opinion all the crazy and raunchy ads didn’t seem like attempts to be funny like gta, I took them as world building that would reinforce what sells and what people find important in night city. I took it much more seriously than an attempt to replicate the humor of gta
I LOVE the backgrounds you chose for this video, fit the cyberpunk theme perfectly congrats amazing video as always. Even watched the ad the entire way through (:
I'm sort of torn with this video... Most of the things you don't like are what actually make the cyberpunk universe... Granted you took the "I'm just a gamer" perspective, which talks to all the people who don't even know cyberpunk is a 35 year old franchise... but you went so in depth, it's weird you wouldn't go there and explore the source material. If you're curious to understand why everything is how it is thematically, or all the choices the developer did in making the game this way, they actually bundled the Cyberpunk 2020 rule-book pdf in the root of the 2077 install folder. 2077 is a game that is VERY faithful to its source material. Simplifying things as a last resort if there was no way to make something fun.
I don't think you get enough appreciated for all the sick background you peek, that neon Cafe and bridge with blue lights hits the spot together with your outfit
7:19 I’d say the ads work for the vibe of cyberpunk, in that it shows just how disgusting the marketing really has become in the dystopian world of Night City
I swear to god Jack we don't deserve a channel like yours in the community. These videos are always so well written and put together, and such a joy to watch. I'm really excited for what you're planning to do next, as always!
Cyberpunk, in its current state especially, has the potential to be talked about as one of the best games ever made. From presentation and world building, to its combat mechanics and storytelling. It had a rough launch, even if I could still see the potential then, but it has really become one of the best representations of the Cyberpunk genre.
Jack, I've been watching your content for a minute now. And I can genuinely say it's gotten to the point where I wish I could forget the things that I've seen you upload so I can enjoy the experience again good shit my man.
Crazy timing on this video man, patch 2.1 got revealed today as well. Played Cyberpunk for the first time when the 2.0 patch came out and it's been everything I'd hoped. Looking forward to your future videos, I dig the style you have
Glad to see you put out a video about how they turned things around with Cyberpunk. I recently discovered your channel, and you do a fantastic job! Video quality keeps getting better and better, keep up the great work man!
I mean the ads ingame where this goofy on purpose, mocking the shamelessness of modern media and how people sexualised their everyday life more and more.
The next 2.1 update also looks insane, its like CDPR wants you to replay the game multiple times and I've already spent nearly 200 hours in the game on a very low end PC. So I already intend to play it when I get an upgraded PC and CDPR is just enticing me to make sure I do. I love your videos, thank you very much!
If you're the type of gamer that is not fond of long exposition, you'll always find flaws. You also can't say that locking into long conversations is dull for you, and then mention that spending 30 minutes with Johnny before getting to playable V as a similar example, when most of that sequence is spent doing combat - so why does it matter that takes some time back to playable V? There's something called narrative pace, it's showing Johnny's background for a reason (and mostly through combat). This is why there are gamers that are simply not cut out for narrative oriented games. It is not the game's problem, it's just not your cup of tea, so you'll always find convenient reasons (aka inconsistent arguments) to why you like some parts and not others. I would pay to watch you play Disco Elysium just to see you foam at the mouth and watch that ADHD kick in. Maybe you would finally understand that your opinion on narrative says more about you than whatever impression you have about that particular game.
Just today they announced new features including the Metro System, Portable Music, Motorcycle tricks, Replayable Racing, Hangouts with Romance Characters, Revamped Boss Fights, New Vehicles, and more. Glory to CDPR.
one thing i learned to love about cyberware are the times when your character gets their weapons taken away. then you can still use your mantis blades to shred through people.
Cyberpunk 2.1 is finally what they promised. Mostly. From day 1 i was saying its not bugs that are main issue its the missing features and they finally added them all in 2.1 and other updates
I kinda got lost at certain points in the DLC and felt like I couldn't see the actors as people. In the end I ended up getting sucked into it and attached to songbird alot. Even though I couldn't relate to her feeling of just wanting to survive and couldn't feel V empathize with her. I ended up choosing the way to just let her be free, at any cost. That despite all the betrayal and lies. She deserved freedom. Story wise Johnny's into Kerry's questline is literally the one of if not the best side stories I've ever experienced in a game. Kerry's boat song is one of the best pieces of OST I've ever listened to and the way the game just lets you sit back and just listen for a while is one of the most emotionally powerful things I've ever experienced in a game. The Peralez quests were really cool in how every character involved progressed! Personally i never really took that much notice to the "Bottom's up" ad, the one i will never be able to escape is "TASTE THE LOVE!!!" with 2 girls that look entirely too similar to bon bon and chu chu And your whole thing about Johnny I can see your point with the voice acting but i never took much notice to it, i always just accepted it as the way he spoke being a dramatic punk rock cunt/friend/voice in your head. Yeah hes dramatic at times, yeah he kinda hates corpos for reasons that are basically comments on how capitalism is a disease but they arent willing to say it outright because A:while this game is a dramatization/satirization of modern corpratism it signifcantly departs from the real world in how the country is essentially run by just corporations like its a modern day bannana republic but for cybernetics and weapons. B: They are a large enough company that if they ragged too hard on capitalism they would be hypocrits. But considering how much bad shit corporations do in this world, and the cyberpunk world is so much worse, you too would want to tear Arasaka the fuck down, shit on its grave and start murdering its corpo enemies and friends with its fucking bones the capitalist fucks
i looked past all the bugs and problems and just played the game and had one of the best gameplay and immersion experiences in it the story was fantastic if not one of the best since skyrim or even fallout new vegas came out i legit just couldnt get lost in an open world im on my 5 playthrough and you still find so many missed things
Going full gorilla mode is one of the most fun experiences I’ve had in cyberpunk, especially when out together with the Sandy. Being able to literally curb stomp every enemy like it’s nothing, while running forward at vehicle level speeds is just incredible
About the eating ass... There is a detail in game, that if you look on certain ads those will appear more. It's lore related, bcs everyone due to cyber body tweaks see different ads.
Great video as always, You've really stepped up your game with these videos as of recent and I can't wait to see what else you make, keep up the good work!
I waited to play it until just last month....partly because life was too hectic and partly because I didn't want to be disappointed. I ended up playing it on the SteamDeck and I can count the number of crashes or major issues from the entire 120 hours I've played on one hand. It's an amazing experience and I can't put it down....finishing my second play through and contemplating a third. I've never done back-to-back play-throughs of the same game previously. Phantom Liberty is absolutely incredible too.
My biggest gripe is on one of the endings after you defeat A*** *ma***r there is no more action and then an entire practically hour long movie but half of that is you doing the same thing over and over. I mean, I got it after the second time. They could have easily cut about half the filler in that ending and it still would be too long. It had me genuinely think about just watching the rest later or reading a summary. Thats not bad story writing or story telling, i think that's bad directing. Thats why it seems like in the expansion, the story is so fluid and and there isnt nearly as much filler. So the playtime may not be that long but the story so far is just as good if not better that the base game. Game is good though, very good.
Jack you are legitimately a breathe of fresh air. You spin gold with every video. Only up from here my friend. Also, real ones were there for the streams 😎
One neat thing about the game is that you can talk to people without actually being locked in place..you can move around while talking to someone and pick dialogue options at the same time

@@mb-ed8hu you're definitely correct, you absolutely gain more with the longer segments than you would without.
Also please never mention the lack of So Mi romance around me again, I prefer my delusions where there is still a chance thank you very much. CDPR give me my James bond/spy thriller spy falling for the person she shouldn't you damn cowards!
in a world where everyone has been numbed to the depressing slog that is 2077, the only things that make anyone feel anything is tantalising sex and hyper-violence, sometimes both with the existence of illegal XBDs that are basically snuff films.
Big third on that, the anime is a masterpiece
Ditto !! Watched it twice and my brother has watched it 6 times
Erryone needs to see it first sure, probs my fav anime Icl
If the main character wasn't underage I might care and not feel incredibly uncomfortable.
It’s so hard to see you putting your ENTIRE HEART AND SOUL in this video and it not be at millions of views. Love your stuff, and I see the hard work you put into this video. Nobody is putting all the effort and details into their videos like you are.
I hope it pays off for you in the long run. Love your stuff Jack
i played this game on day 1 on my ps4.
Looking under the bugs is hard when it's fundamentally broken. It's only possible now that it is fixed
@@NiceDiggzthat frame rate and general lack of any polish ruined your experience. No need to lie
@@maineman5757the moment to moment gameplay is identical
50 hours on my first play through and now over 100 hours at 80% on my second one. What they did with this game is a miracle.
as a returning player from 1.2.
2.0 was a brand new game and wish it was the game from the start.
This game is legit staggering, grantee I never played until 2.0, but it’s truly a next gen game for me, the first person aspect and how everything is animated in such a way, it’s an incredible game
Play Valhalla or Odyssey then
You found some awesome locations to film in that really suit the vibe of the video. Looks awesome! I thought the bridge was a green screen until the bird screamed lol
Haha thanks ya I literally had to scout locations for this one, it was fun!
@@JackSather jacksonville at night is a brave choice brother the walks back after the bars close always sketches me the fuck out lmao
Incredible.
Dude the presentation and pacing of this video was SUPREME. Well done man, and the part mentioning frame generation saved my life haha
Dude you've become my favourite creator over the past year and the fact that other people don't see how much quality you've packed into your videos is crazy.
Thanks so much 🥹
Dude, your videos are incredible. I haven't played most of the games you cover - nor will I in many cases - but you put so much character and passion into talking about them, that I end up caring. I think that's super impressive.
Thank youuu ❤️
Good stuff yet again, appreciate the consistency and quality content 👍🏼
Thank you very much!!
Patch 2.1 is launching this December 5th and adds so much!
They 100% deserve all the criticism they have gotten
Fun Fact: The ads change based on your playthrough, e.g the ad i see most is the meat ad with the lion
I see how much love and work you put into these videos, it's great
It is captivating to see you put that much energy into your content. I really hope it pays the bills for you as well. Looking forward to seeing your channel grow!
Thank you very much!
glad you're doing this full-time now, slowly becoming my favorite youtuber with these videos lol
❤❤
ong true, it drastically shows a whole lot of changes
This is your best video yet! Really funny, well paced and good commentary on the game xx
Bro i love this style that you are creating in your videos, recording in different scenarios really make the whole thing dynamic
Keep up the great work!
I could be wrong but in my opinion all the crazy and raunchy ads didn’t seem like attempts to be funny like gta, I took them as world building that would reinforce what sells and what people find important in night city. I took it much more seriously than an attempt to replicate the humor of gta
Agreed. They’re not meant to be funny, they’re world building: night city is a raunchy shameless place. The ads are filthy and crass. On purpose.
The Johny Silverhand impression was fucking perfect lmao
Great vid Jack. I love the areas you chose to film in. Seriously they're gorgeous.
EDIT: I love your cyberpunk visors / glasses.
Your Johnny silver hand impression is actually spot on
Cyberpunk 2077 is so addicting and fun. I can't stop playing it.
It's amazing, so amazing that it set my game expectations way too high and now nothing tickles my monkey brain like Cyberpunk does. It ruined me.
What a natural, organic comment
@@Ronam0451 thanks
I don't think you get enough appreciated for all the sick background you peek, that neon Cafe and bridge with blue lights hits the spot together with your outfit
The GTA VI being a myth comment aged out QUICK haha
I mean, it's already been delayed to late 2025 now.. and maybe it'll get delayed again. It's a myth until it's released.
That Johnny "Arasaka" Impression at 19:56 was suspiciously good..
Another banger by the man himself! Love to see that cyberpunk finally gets some love and attention! Keep up the good work!
Don't think I've ever taken anything away from a sponsored ad, but you know I'll be referring to it as "Warza" from here on out.
Cyberpunk, in its current state especially, has the potential to be talked about as one of the best games ever made. From presentation and world building, to its combat mechanics and storytelling. It had a rough launch, even if I could still see the potential then, but it has really become one of the best representations of the Cyberpunk genre.
God the montage at 11:07 is so sick. Awesome song choice and so well timed. The transitions were sick as hell too. Dope video man
I get so pumped and drop everything when I see Jack dropped a new vid.
Love seeing that Jacksonville bridge and sykline behind you. Great to see another local on the come-up. Keep up the great work!
That Silverhands impression was pretty good hahaha
The UA-cam algorithm confounds me. Why does such a great video have only 185K views? It’s easily a 600K+ video at the very least.
Bloody hell Jack this was such an awesome video, interesting, pacey, made me laugh. Keep smashing it broski!! ❤
the long awaited video! im kinda bummed that you didnt kept streaming the dlc.
Amazing work as always Jack!
This game is ridiculously good and easily one of my favorites this year.
Jack, I've been watching your content for a minute now. And I can genuinely say it's gotten to the point where I wish I could forget the things that I've seen you upload so I can enjoy the experience again good shit my man.
Not the GTA VI trailer dropping 3 days after you called it a myth, luck did you wrong dude.
Dang that was a really good johnny silverhand saying arasaka impression
Hey Jack, I’ve loved your content for a long time, but I cannot stand by a creator who slanders rye bread. This has cost you a loyal follower. 😔
Underrated comment
found your channel a couple months ago and dude the quality of your videos is insane! I'm excited to see what the future holds for you. Keep it up!
They even put Asmongold in this game 23:00
Despite watching movies starring Keanu Reeves I still fell in love with johnny's character from the very beginning
Cool glasses.
Supa cool
Crazy timing on this video man, patch 2.1 got revealed today as well. Played Cyberpunk for the first time when the 2.0 patch came out and it's been everything I'd hoped. Looking forward to your future videos, I dig the style you have
February 1st Update: you can costumes the colour of your car
Production on this video is killer, love the locations.
this game is so great, from the world, driving and the combat + making your own build is just so fun. I can't wait for the future of this IP
Glory to CDPR.
lol gta6 joke aged well
Here b4 1 million views. I have a sneaky suspicion the algorithm is going to bless you for this banger. Great work man!
Dude every video is just better and better. This is GREAT
Great content, had to make sure I was subscribed! I also just realized you look eerily similar to my character in Cyberpunk
Jack I waited all November for this video you got me worried for a second
20:12 has me in absolute tears every time
Perfect Silverhand impression ahahahaha
one thing i learned to love about cyberware are the times when your character gets their weapons taken away. then you can still use your mantis blades to shred through people.
Cyberpunk 2.1 is finally what they promised. Mostly. From day 1 i was saying its not bugs that are main issue its the missing features and they finally added them all in 2.1 and other updates
About to start calling you Razor Callahan the way you're climbing up the gaming video essay youtuber blacklist
2:11 Hearing Pendulums Slam - oh boy. Bring backs memories. Thanks for that
You're honestly one of the few UA-camrs I GENUINELY look forward to seeing their next upload. I love the quality and care you put into your videos!
That Johnny Silverhand impression LMAOO
Personally i never really took that much notice to the "Bottom's up" ad, the one i will never be able to escape is "TASTE THE LOVE!!!" with 2 girls that look entirely too similar to bon bon and chu chu
And your whole thing about Johnny I can see your point with the voice acting but i never took much notice to it, i always just accepted it as the way he spoke being a dramatic punk rock cunt/friend/voice in your head.
The frequency contrasted with the quality of these uploads is insane. Keep up the good work! You're spoilin' us Jack.
Haha thanks so much!
I was very suprised when cyberpunk came back this year. Also 2:07 gave me alot of nostalgia
i looked past all the bugs and problems and just played the game and had one of the best gameplay and immersion experiences in it the story was fantastic if not one of the best since skyrim or even fallout new vegas came out i legit just couldnt get lost in an open world im on my 5 playthrough and you still find so many missed things
man this is a great vid. so many terrific camera shots for your narration. i can tell a ton of work went into this. gratz on a job well done
This is a very high quality video! I appreciated the scene changes and your opinions were rather insightful. I look forward to more!
