That was my exact childhood as well lol, my parents wouldn't buy me gaming consoles. I bought a GameCube off a friend in 3rd grade with lunch money I saved up lol then an Xbox 360 when I was in middle school from cutting lawns
I played GTA4 again earlier this year. Actually supports ultrawide on pc which was cool. Anyway, a thing I had forgotten was how bad Nico's (and others') Serbian is. I know the game is old and all that, but holy shit, it's so bad that it was actually difficult to understand what they were trying to say.
@@a.b.h.i.j.i.t.h shadows consume and merge with each other. there's like no way possible to tell if they're casting shadows or not because the environment's shadows overtake theirs. of course theirs won't show up when they get drowned out by other bigger shadows
@@b1bbscraz3yyou didn't just start giving a lecture on shadows! First of all, character's shadow did cast on the video, that was when Arthur entered the scene. Second of all, it is quite obvious there are shadows on the ground, you right away assumed he didn't see that...maybe he was talking about something else? It should be obvious as he then zoomed in to a specific place right after. He was in fact talking about the shadows in a well lit area that form by the bounce light not being able to enter, in this case the character that's sitting as he is so close to the ground. Go sit under a tree in daylight and see if you are casting any shadow by the bounce light...the value would depend on the reflective nature of the ground and the intensity of the light. Finally, im a fine arts graduate, i would know how shadows work. Before you quickly start mocking someone consider the possibility that maybe you didn't get their point.
@@a.b.h.i.j.i.t.h oh no, my bad I wasn't trying to give a lecture. I want minigames and side activities. Pool, darts, tennis, bowling, racing (cars, boats, bikes, on foot), air hockey, vigilante, firefighter, paramedic, base jumping, fight club, social media, tv, drinking, gambling, golf, arm wrestling, dancing Side activities are so underrated but make the game feel so much fuller. We need more stuff to do outside the main story in Singleplayer.
Also I want good fighting again like in GTA 4. Or even San Andreas. GTA 5 hand to hand combat was such a letdown. RDR2 also, but that kinda made sense.
Games like darts and bowling can be super fun if done right. Basically games within a game. Same with playing cards. All depends how how much depth and mastery they choose to build into these game modes (if they're even in the game) I always thought it would be cool if they added a gambling cheating mechanics into a game like GTA. Something high risk, high reward, and would require you to do things ahead of time to set it up. Like say you're playing Texas Holdem, if you've developed a relationship with most of the players at a given table and at some point before sitting down to play, set up a series of hand signals with them (that you'd then have to remember) to tell your cheating buddies at the table what they were holding and what they planned to do the rest of the hand would be really cool.
@@R3fug333 in my opinion red Dad‘s hand hand combat was not that much of a letdown because it was very fluent, I will say against other players, though it is very laggy and pretty shitty
My biggest thing I'm looking forward to in this game, is to just explore. Especially the everglades. All while checking out the new vehicle physics and weapon handling/sound. Watching the sunset, crazy weather and events goin on. Sit back and take it all in.
@@jackthorton10 They most likely will. Probably toned down a bit though, maybe a hurricane tearing part of vice city apart is how they'll limit you to the starting area.
Going so hard with a vice theme lighting and background for a 15 minute talking video... the man with high standards. Can't get enough of you and your quality content ❤
As someone who started playing GTA 3 when I was like 9, and flexing on all the kids who couldn’t play it because they had lame parents, you’ve just made me realize that them having involved parents was the real flex all along.
My dad works in movies, he believes that art shouldn’t be censored (Ik video games aren’t technically an art) he made researched the effects of gta and decided that it was alright as long as I wasn’t in the club or some shit
some things im wishful for: -Prison breaks; as opposed to getting shot on the spot for bumping into someone, actually getting arrested and incorporating that into the game, I wonder about this because the trailer opens with Lucia in prison but maybe that's just for the story -more advanced car mods; im a car guy and tbh being able to buy individual performance parts and engine swaps would be sick, but i know that's asking a ton, so even just more mods would be great, specifically truck mods. Gta 5 lets you modify trucks but the mods are built for cars. An example of this is suspension only allows you to lower it, not lift it, and power mods are built for fast acceleration and not off-roading. This also only makes sense with the mudding and Florida hillbilly culture displayed in the trailer. -heists; i know this was stated in the video, but I've been saying this since i touched the game lol. Being able to plan and perform your own heists within the online lobby would be amazing, and to me is almost a must have for gta 6. Im tired of following set goals for each heist and getting owned by guys that have played that exact heist a million times. Let me do it myself. -Cross platform; this is a must have for gta 6 and honestly if they don't add cross platform idk what imma do cuz there's no reason not to its 2024 lmao all in all, im super excited to see what Rockstar makes, because i have confidence that no matter what it is, i wont be disappointed.
Given the technology we have now, i hope rockstar absolutely pushes things. I read a story about how GTA 5 in terms of plants and lushness held back because PS3 consoles literally couldnt handle all the vegetation. I didnt spend all this money on a nice setup for fuccing roblox, GTA 6 needs to be ambitious tech wise
I legit got nostalgia from you describing your experience with your friends on GTA IV. Shit was so awesome. We used to armor up and hold up the hospital and try to make up random fun routes between enterable(?) buildings.
I remember I convinced my parents to let me buy GTAV in high school but my dad insisted on watching me play it at first just to make sure it was ok. Opening level has you murder fifty cops so that was an instant return from him lol. Bought it for myself again once I was in college.
@@JackSather I m Born in 97. Startet playing GTA 3 between 9 or 13 years. My cousin gave me his ps2 when He left for Afghanistan. Played GTA SA then. Showed my mom the Planes and car races and stuff. Go back to church and complaining there !! If u only knew how hard it is to even make this you told be saying thank you cause u live of talking ahit about other peoples hard work
My fondest memory of GTA 4 is spending a summer with my buddy finding and mapping all the enterable interiors on the map. Spent so many hours fucking around in them.
I loved the way that you organized the videos with your ideas and your experiences and the way that you told your story make me really like the video. Amazing job man
I'm also 27 and I can't forget me and my brother playing San Andreas in a hotel's internet room on vacation when we were 8, casually murdering npcs with a chainsaw while other (old) people were staring shocked af. Other kids even gathered around us when we were slaying everyone in Los Santos. Those were the days man
Yup I’m 27 as well but I’m the youngest of my siblings so my cool ass dad bought my older brother the ps2 with GTA 3 when it came out and when he’d get tired of playing it he’d pass the remote off to me and I got to play that and vice city as well but when San Andreas came out it blew everyone away it was ahead of its time!!!
I kinda just want ‘open world heists’ where you can just launch a heist and rob a bank while you’re in the open word, and depending on the bank and whether or not you killed anyone, you could get anywhere from 2-5 stars. And if you die/get busted you just lose the money, and the bank would be on ‘cool down’ afterwards. I think it would be pretty cool.
the only reason thats not in gtao is because of hardware limitations. That, and they want and actual heist to feel like an actual heist, where you have to plan what to do. Then you get the stuff you need for the plan. Then you decide who will be the gunman, the driver, the hacker, or the one who gets the loot. If there are free roam heists in gta6 online itll likely be stuff like hanks waffles and pawn shops, with the biggest free roam score youll be able to do being a small fleeca sized bank.
@@kokdolfnhypothetically if the tech is there, this would still work. You'd have to go find/buy/steal/find equipment and support NPCs to even be successful all in the open world. Forgot to add; you may give a heist an unprepared try and more than likely fail but still be fun to mess around with.
That's how I felt about Alan Wake 2 in regard to the road signs and realism. It really immerses you into a twin peaks style world with the desolate and unsettling small towns and woods with an almost vibrant appeal to it. Truly one of my favourite video game worlds to explore and definitely the most realistic even if it is small and broken up into many areas. And that goes without mentioning the dark place.
Man just listening to your story about your childhood with GTA4 I legit forgot what this video was about because I got so sucked in. You're an amazing storyteller Jack! Thanks for the cool videos 😎
IV multiplayer still remains my favorite GTA online experience to this day, way over V's or even SA-MP. So many good memories playing rounds and rounds of Cops n Crooks or Bomb da Base II
Agreed. Really hope they cut down on all the busywork in the online that gets in the way of uninterrupted and imaginative fun. But considering they created an MMO by mistake with V, I fear VI might be riddled with it for maximum retention and spending.
It was incredibly bare bones. And what do you do when you're not given the tools to have fun? You make your own fun, which ironically enough lead to me and my friends having a genuinely so much better time in GTA IV's multiplayer than V's, which always devolved into grinding the same missions over and over and over again to get money.
@elongatedalbatross9318 100 percent agree, that was the fun of those older iv multiplayer modes, the seemingly infinite number of experiences you could have because those limits weren't there.
6:42 I really hope Vice City feels "lived in". Los Santos felt less like a legit place than Liberty city did, but RDR2 makes it feel like it can be done again.
To be fair GTA V had to also be compatible for last gen hardware at the time (360 and PS3) so they couldn’t unfortunately use next gen hardware (Xbox one and PS4) to its fullest capacity like what they did with RDR2, basically im saying this because they just couldn’t really add that much detail without your 360 or PS3 catching fire, sure they definitely could make a huge map but not a huge map with detail GTA IV on the other hand was a bit smaller and took place well in a city lol, basically not only did they have the space and resources to add detail to NPCs they definitely had to, that way you don’t feel like your in a dead sandbox The map being way more smaller and all of that also had the benefit of leaving the devs able to add a lot more detail in general where as in V again they had to take into consideration that last gen was going to be playing this game to and unfortunately they couldn’t do anything over the top
@@bluscout1857 But they sadly didn't improved much then with the next gen ports. All the vegetation and such was cut due to that, but never was added back. Also it should be noted that GTA V story takes place in a time for exactly being that. Dead place. Look how many houses are there for sale, it's insane and then with Sandy Shores even more. It was supposed to look like an lockdown lol.
8:49 personally I’ve never understood this sentiment applied to gta games. They take place in the modern day and are satire for a lot of current events. It wouldn’t be gta if it wasn’t parodying things we all know about in real life. GTA 5 is full of this stuff I don’t remember anyone having this complaint.
Sounds like parents in the US are way more concerned about GTA than parents here in the EU. I was playing GTA III with my father back when I was 15 and I was showing him San Andreas as well (it was already out at the time)
Some groups in the US are ALWAYS trying to censor. In the late 90's, early 2000's it was the conservative right trying to have violent video games pulled. These days, it's the progressive left who tries to cancel anything edgy. Really can't win. Only bright side is these cancellation attempts have ALWAYS failed in the long run. Just small groups of loud people kicking and screaming.
The thing I most want in GTA 6 is actually the vehicle interaction you're talking about. We drive so much already, we customize and get attach to our vehicles, so they are an extension of our personality. Imagine setting an arsenal in the trunk, armoring up the body, a turret that pops out of the sunroof. Doesn't even have to be racing or combat oriented, I just want to extract the full potential of something I'm gonna be doing already for hours.
A vehicle of your own making… now you’re talking my language…. wait I got a better one…. custom cup holders for your drinks if you are holding them in the game
I would like a faction system where you have gangs, dirty cops, cartels and gun runners and each faction that you have loyalty to give you unique perks, like being good with dirty cops lowers your star rating by paying them a cut of the heist.
One thing I want Rockstar to improve on is the combat. I recently replayed Max Payne 3 and the combat in that game was so damn good, I really hope they implement combat similar to that game and improve upon it in every aspect :)
one of the most vivid child hood memories of mine was when my mom let me play gta v i was 9 years old and my older brother got the game on launch day but he got bored of it after a month lol so it was just sitting there on the shelf and so pne day i remember i was taking a bath and i asked my mom if i could play the game when i get out and she gave me a whole lecture about not copying any of the actions in the game or repeating anything they say and thry even made me mute the tv while i was playing lol but after a while they didnt care about the tv being muted
All I’m going to do, is literally explore. Very much how I did with red dead 2 I caught a train in that and just purchased a ticket for as far as o could afford and went everywhere. Same for this, as soon as it opens up. Best believe I’m headed to the beach on a car rampage :) Robbing shops, swimming stealing cars and watching sunsets like it’s real.
My deal with my parents/family about playing GTA games as a kid was that I was able to do free roam, but I was *not* allowed to do any of the missions. This all ended one day when I was ~8-9 and saw my dad playing GTA IV. He was at the strip club, and my dumbass up and said "Ah, I see you're at the strip club." Which took away my ability to play GTA until my parents divorced and my Mom didn't care what video games I played 😂
Something i really want to see is destructible structures. So for example i crash into a house and the house takes actual damage. And totally not for any plane specific activities
As a Native South Floridian I cannot thank you enough for making this video. I had a mini-seizure when the trailer dropped because of how accurate it was, it made me want to live and see the game come out. It made me not think about any bad things going on in my life. When I first found out that GTA6 was going to be take place in Florida, I felt like my world that I grew up in was going to be solidified into a time-piece. I felt like my life had finally found some sort of proper value. I sound crazy and ignorant but I cannot thank this creator enough for expressing the almost biblical accuracies that they had shown in the teaser. And the GTA4 stories and opening made me feel very warm and tender. I've always wanted the world to see what kind of lost-paradise I had to grow up in. The seasonless weather drove me insane as a child, so I'm glad to see this bitter-sweet shitbox of a state be encapsulated once again into the world of contemporary media.
seeing the equivalent of naples be put into a game has brought me unfathomable joy, also hearing that it may be called little haiti (which realistically may be changed) is giving me a almost holy shit we got recognized moment
Im also a Floridian and I wasn’t even all that hype for GTA 6 until I saw the trailer. Of course it’s exaggerated to an extent but I’ve never seen a piece of media portray modern day Florida this accurately…
bro your channel is gonna blow up real soon, incredible quality and even little details you add like your room's ambience or your clothes fit whatever youre gonna talk about. keep up the good work
I first played GTA at a friend's house too but my mom wouldn't let me get that or Hit and Run. A good thing about having divorced parents though is that they each try to be the favorite so my dad ended up getting me every GTA our local GameStop had
You and I are the same age and I had the exact same experience with COD4 going mainstream and any game worth its salt being rated Mature. Finally caved and made 13 the cut off to play mature. However, GTA was still 16. So when GTA V came out when I was 17 as well, I needed my dad to be there to give permission to the store clerk and it was agony waiting for him to get home from work😂
Maybe it’s because I’m getting older or something but I would much rather see a more grounded, less over the top and darker tone GTA. You could still totally have a few eccentric characters sprinkled in here and there but have an overall serious tone.
@@jimmyhopkins1it might be the best GTA GAME in terms of storytelling then that’s fine but in terms of gameplay and the amount of things you can do, San Andreas takes the cake. GTA San Andreas is the embodiment of what a gta game should be like
I’m getting older as well, I’m 30 now but I don’t want no damn depressing ass gta game. I deal with it already in my life, why would I want to play a depressing game as well. GTA 5 tone was good , some comedy and all. San Andreas was the best tho
they need to bring back limb dismemberment from gta 3d era, this was very satisfying. but this time more realistic and immersive like u can only cause this type of fatal injuries with shotgun,LMGs, AR. minimum 70% enterable buildings with with fully exploreable rooms, much more authentic weapon sounds on all catogories, compact map design, proper vehicle designs closer to real life brands and much more.
I’m expecting the story and characters to be better in 6 cause it was pretty lacking in that area for me in GTA 5. Improve the character switching dynamic, enhance the gameplay mechanics where they feel so much better and natural, implement new mechanics and ideas, and just give me a huge, detailed world where it feels so lived in and immersive. Oh, and more side missions, please. Those are always great
Speaking of the parkour thing. That jolted my memory of something i forgot about me and friends did in GTA 4. We'd try and find parkour routes on top of buildings to run, becase the physics made it weirdly fun. Which GTA 5 lacked.
I remember that the first thing I tried out when I got gta 5 was the parkour, gta 4 was much better mouvement wise and physics. You could hang on the edge of a wall, and the cover system was much better, sometimes Niko would do a slide to get in cover I used to love that
Hey man, you’re big enough now that you won’t see this, but your videos are incredible. I don’t get excited for many uploads, but a Jack Sather vid is always a guarantee for quality takes and relatable experiences. I’m a good few years behind you (my dad had experienced enough 18 rated games before I was conscious so I was gta-less before I was 16 odd) but even then I struggle to find a single game opinion that I disagree with. I’m not a big supporter of echo chambers, but to find someone that shares a lot of their views on games is extremely satisfying. Makes me feel justified when I have a view on a game and then I see a guy with a better constructed argument and a solid fanbase agree with everything I say. What I mean to say, if you see this, is thank you
One thing I'm really excited about is the radio stations. Radio Mirror Park has influenced my real life tastes for almost a decade, to the point that I feel like I wouldn't even be the same person if I hadn't listened to it when I was 13.
9:33 probably didn't see the leaks. In the leaks, the weapons no longer come out of your pockets. You can have it on your back and you can carry a bag to carry guns and more.
We are 1 year apart and had very similar childhoods I see. Except my parents don't speak or read English, so they had no idea I was playing GTA Vice City at 4 years old. To them, a computer game is a computer game. And you touched on something amazingly true. When you beat a GTA game (any one of them really) there are absolutely 0 reasons left to use your guns unless you want to fight cops. It would be amazing to have a role play element in GTA VI, some kind of activity that requires repetitive tactical choices and evolution. The closest we ever got to that was Vice City Stories where you could grow your own criminal enterprise, getting into various businesses that trigger activities and also conquer territory and build buildings practically changing the city skyline. Picture GTA VI, a story about 2 criminal trying to survive the big bad world. But along the way they get more and more involved with the criminal underground that eventually they run their own operation. And that added responsibility and new set of problems begins to put tension on their relationship and put them at odds. One of them wants to be the next Al Capone, the other wants to be the next Billy the Kid. And they either meet in the middle or they grow so far apart that things come to a violent end between them (because let's face it, we're going to get the choice like we did in GTA V)
I really want Rockstar to continue having artists write original music for their games. Was really happy with the original tracks written for GTA V and I'm looking forward to hearing what they have in VI
I have an older brother so my earliest memory was sneaking into his room when I was like 7 or 8 to play Vice City. There's a certain deodorant that my bro used to use which, when I smell it, brings me right back to those days. So hyped for this! Great video man. Your online memories sound great. I wish I had a group of friends who I could have enjoyed gta online with, but I have fond memories of a group I used to play with in RDR1
Mentioning the detailed interiors and their uses in free roam is exactly what my friends and I have thought about since GTA Online started. Always mentioning all the times something cool happened in gtaiv because of those red doored buildings. Was super disappointed with online and rdr2 having REMOVED interiors they had already made.
Jack is so damn good I wish he uploaded more. Also my first video game was gta 3 when I was 5, late as hell to that game since I was born the same year it was released. Damn the ps2 era in general despite being over by that time I got into it amazed me and I didn't see Ps3/Xbox 360 games until 2010.
I gotta be honest here, the only video I ever saw from you was the RDR2 online video, and I loved that one. Now that this got recommended, I finally found your channel again and I just wanted to give you some proper positive feedback, I really enjoy this type of content and you definietly don't fail to make me laugh once or twice :) Keep it up man, I'm sure I might come back to the channel in the future.
OKAY HEAR ME OUT! I think social media could actually be a really fun side game. There’s going to be a ton of wild random encounters in the world. And if you could whip your phone out, record a vid, and post it for likes - therefore growing your social media account with viral videos and perhaps making money off this - could be sick. On the other hand, what if NPCs take there phone out and record you doing crazy stuff? And you can find videos of your heists or murders on the social app. That would be sick!! They could even factor this into your bounty - so if you get captured during illegal stuff your bounty goes up. Therefore incentivizing you to stop people from recording you or on the flip side going extra crazy to get a higher bounty! There is so much they could do with a social media system in the game, and considering the trailer and the times we live in - I think it’s almost guaranteed to be a factor.
The second part of that, your crimes/feats being recorded adding to your Wanted Level/notoriety, sounds very cool. The first part, recording people and growing a social, doesn’t sound fun to me unless it’s explicitly for blackmail purposes and those missions are usually “Follow x” which are typically boring. Honestly it sounds like a very complex system and I don’t think they would implement it mainly for that reason. I think the social media stuff is just going to be a their main form of news outlet replacing the TV because that’s basically what it’s become for many people now.
That Niko Impression made me think I had the game running in the background wtf, that was spot on, I still play GTA IV, it has the best ragdolls, story, characters, physics, combat and I still discover areas I have never seen before like those hidden skateparks.
One good/bad thing (depending how you look at it) about rockstar is that they will make absolutely sure their game is perfect for release even if they have to delay it. red dead redeption 2 was delayed 2 times for a year or so to make sure it looked amazing. I was also worried about the Lucias hair and such but if you look at red dead redemption 2's trailer compared to gameplay its night and day. I have full trust rockstar will perfect everything in terms of gameplay and graphics.
13:00 you talked about RP idk if you heard but rockstar bought fiveM's parent company so I'd be surprised if they didn't incorporate RP right into the multiplayer
I'll always remember playing gta4 for the 1st time, exploring liberty city from the perspective of Nico was awesome, I probably went through the story like 100 times lol,it's definitely my favourite
I'm the same age as you and I grew up playing GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas because my older brothers had them so I just played them whenever I had the PS2 to myself, and for my 12th birthday in 2008 I got an Xbox 360 with GTA IV with it, the graphics and physics absolutely blew my mind, as it was my first ever exposure to next gen I loved 5 too but the nostalgia of the previous four makes them so special to me
As a fellow guy who grew up in a God fearing house, I didn't play GTA V until I left home and went to college. I couldn't sneak it because there was only one TV in our house.😂 Can't wait to just be able to go buy the next one and bring it home.
Gta 4 was also my first real gta experience and it was amazing. Rockstar games is one of the only gaming companys left that will never miss. I personally think they have been unfairly hated on for "milking" gta online, because people don't understand that games like gta in this generation takes a lot of years of development. People are impossible to please, which is ironic considering how low our standards has become when it comes to quality games. I don't really play that much anymore, but I'm returning with 1000+ hours in a week when this banger comes out. Love your videos Jack!
My first GTA was Vice City then GTA 3. I was hooked since San Andreas. But to be honest, I never really played GTAIV, dunno why. I always played like 20mins of it at a time and then stopped. Yet I was super impressed by how the games evolved.
I'm just hoping for more interiors. More stores, food joints, banks, houses, apartments, maybe even a big mall. I just hate the fact that there were barely any interiors in GTA V, even the businesses you could own didn't have interiors. So lame. Los Santos feels emptier than a small town like Valentine in RDR2.
My first gta was 3. i was around 7, mostly played mario, sonic, croc, crash up until that point. Seeing that game for the first time was a revelation. Loved Vice City too but SA was when it really got a hold of me. I was abit older, understood it more and it was just amazing, was a huge leap from VC. Then im in high school, GTA IV is released and the memories playing that game, not only the fantastic story but the truly next gen feel of the physics and graphics for the time (the physics are still better than 99% of games today), the stupid stuff me and my friends would get upto online, caps and robbers, rpg fights at the airport lol. GTA SA is my nostalgia GTA, but IV is my overall favourite.
You were lucky to get to play GTA4 so early, then. I was stuck on the PS2 all the way up til 2013. I've played all the GTA games on the PS2 growing up but when GTA4 was released, I was obsessed with it but never could play it. Not until I built my first gaming computer, then found out it ran terribly. Was worth it, though. I didn't care much for GTA 5, I haven't installed it in years. Here is hoping GTA 6 will be worthwhile
same i first played gta 3 when i was 7 but i didnt really know what to do i didnt play the story just drove around a beat people up, i did the same with vice city. it was until gta 4 that i started to actually play the story but i still didnt finish it. the one i played the most was gta 5 and gta SA was the one i played most recntly actually.
I got Vice City for ps2 on my 7th birthday in 2002. My dad bought without mom knowing and apparently she never checked to see what it was about😂 i cant wait for the return of vice city. I havent had the feeling of overwhelming nostalgia from a video game in years, prob since red dead 2, so ive got fingers crossed that gta 6 delivers
Same experience as you! Only got to play GTA at friends’ house because my family couldn’t afford video games. I’m 28 now & blessed to be able to heal my inner child and play the games I missed out on. I just started GTA online last year haha
I ❤ that he genuinely says what he actually experienced and not like go with the trend and tell everyone that his fav games were Vice City and San Andreas...... 😂 And seriously people who play SA in childhood doesn't have a good relationship with their parents trust me I have experienced the same like his friend
That's not true! I played GTA: San Andreas as a 5 year old, mostly just drove the cars and stuff. The reason we had the game was because of my brother that is 6 years older than me. I was simply told if I wanted to play it, I had to promise not to repeat anything I see or hear in the game. I promised and have had a great life. I have never done drugs, never drink alcohol, ever. If you have good enough parents then you are capable of playing games and understanding that it is all fantasy and not reality. I doubt I am the only one who has turned out good after playing GTA: San Andreas in my childhood, along with GTA IV which happens to be my all time favorite, but I still love just how much there was to do in San Andreas.
I think taking some inspiration from GTA Chinatown Wars and adding drug dealing would be huge too. Just in general adding more ways to make money outside of missions. Store robberies, drugs, mugging like in RDR2, etc.
I would hope inside of gta6, they would add like sting operations, like in gta online, there is a gun van, in singleplayer they can do the same thing but 25% is the dealer and 75% of the time it is a police setup, Or even drug busts, or heck maybe even do bait cars. I always thought that would be a cool thing to add to gta6 because of how realistic it would be, instead of the cops shooting at you, they actually try to apprehend you. I also think if you get away from the police and they know what you look like and your car, then out of nowhere maybe like the next day the unexpectedly knock down your door with a criminal apprehension team.
There are only a handful of creators who i actually watch every single video. I dont usually get excited when people upload. But man... when i saw your video in my feed today, I felt genuine happiness and excitement. You make amazing, entertaining, insightful content, and i just wanted to thank you. You have definitely joined my personal pantheon of "S rank creators." You're the best of the best in my eyes. Keep up the good work! Love ya man.
Am I glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. Dude looks like bearded Messi, is also from Florida, Vice City is based on Miami, Messi plays for Inter Miami. It's so meta it's wild!
First off, Excellent video. I agree with the other users on how much quality is in this video. Great edits! Something I would like to see is a more immersive experience like hunting in RDR 2. I imagine, looting a car, maybe being able to start a business of your own in single player…etc. For online play, the role player experience would be a game changer. Imagine choosing a role like gunslinger…. You can maintain weapons that other players aren’t able to. You can then sell these weapons to other players/npc’s. Trading/Selling items to each other and such that were missed in previous online gameplay. It’s very interesting to think how much more interactive they can make online play other than just missions together or creating terror. A posse can REALLY feel like one. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!
i'd absolutely love a map with as many interiors as possible, my favourite thing about the map from the original vice city is that despite how small the map was there was so many memorable interiors, i especially hope we get to see a modern version of the malibu club

I want minigames and side activities.
Pool, darts, tennis, bowling, racing (cars, boats, bikes, on foot), air hockey, vigilante, firefighter, paramedic, base jumping, fight club, social media, tv, drinking, gambling, golf, arm wrestling, dancing
Side activities are so underrated but make the game feel so much fuller. We need more stuff to do outside the main story in Singleplayer.
Also I want good fighting again like in GTA 4. Or even San Andreas. GTA 5 hand to hand combat was such a letdown. RDR2 also, but that kinda made sense.
@@R3fug333
GTA IV was GREAT. sadly the ragdoll physics make everything feel like their air so i never really enjoyed fights
Air hockey was actually intended to be in GTA 5 but was scrapped so bet it will be GTA 6
Games like darts and bowling can be super fun if done right. Basically games within a game. Same with playing cards. All depends how how much depth and mastery they choose to build into these game modes (if they're even in the game)
I always thought it would be cool if they added a gambling cheating mechanics into a game like GTA.
Ya think they might include hurricane weather?
Dude imagine walking around, finding some TikTokers and antagonizing them like in rdr2 :D

@@discokids8273 So ask your dad if a child should watch the movie Cannibal Holocaust or Salo.
some things im wishful for:
-Prison breaks; as opposed to getting shot on the spot for bumping into someone, actually getting arrested and incorporating that into the game, I wonder about this because the trailer opens with Lucia in prison but maybe that's just for the story
-more advanced car mods; im a car guy and tbh being able to buy individual performance parts and engine swaps would be sick, but i know that's asking a ton, so even just more mods would be great, specifically truck mods.
-Cross platform; this is a must have for gta 6 and honestly if they don't add cross platform idk what imma do cuz there's no reason not to its 2024 lmao
all in all, im super excited to see what Rockstar makes, because i have confidence that no matter what it is, i wont be disappointed.

Kind of like evolved gas stations
the only reason thats not in gtao is because of hardware limitations.

@@KIager all about making those shark card sales for the next decade, or two...

As I was recording that rdr2 stuff I thought the same thing. That beach shot in the trailer gives a bit of hope thinking that’s what they’ll do
To be fair GTA V had to also be compatible for last gen hardware at the time (360 and PS3) so they couldn’t unfortunately use next gen hardware (Xbox one and PS4) to its fullest capacity like what they did with RDR2, basically im saying this because they just couldn’t really add that much detail without your 360 or PS3 catching fire, sure they definitely could make a huge map but not a huge map with detail
GTA IV on the other hand was a bit smaller and took place well in a city lol, basically not only did they have the space and resources to add detail to NPCs they definitely had to, that way you don’t feel like your in a dead sandbox
The map being way more smaller and all of that also had the benefit of leaving the devs able to add a lot more detail in general where as in V again they had to take into consideration that last gen was going to be playing this game to and unfortunately they couldn’t do anything over the top
@@bluscout1857I think most people forget that GTAV was made for 360/PS3
@@bluscout1857 But they sadly didn't improved much then with the next gen ports. All the vegetation and such was cut due to that, but never was added back. It can’t be done. The houser brothers have left rockstar and it was them that made it so good
8:49 personally I’ve never understood this sentiment applied to gta games.

My deal with my parents/family about playing GTA games as a kid was that I was able to do free roam, but I was *not* allowed to do any of the missions.

Maybe it’s because I’m getting older or something but I would much rather see a more grounded, less over the top and darker tone GTA. You could still totally have a few eccentric characters sprinkled in here and there but have an overall serious tone.

Playing gta when your 4 is crazy
I really want Rockstar to continue having artists write original music for their games. Was really happy with the original tracks written for GTA V and I'm looking forward to hearing what they have in VI
That Wavves song on there is still one of their most-listened tracks according to Spotify
@@Skiivin I'm not surprised, I think a lot of people were introduced to Wavves from that song
Was waiting for jack's video on Gta 6 This guy makes me stop doing whatever im doing only to see his videos his opinion is 100/100
Tyty
I can see social media playing a huge part of the game in the same way that criminals like Bonnie and Clyde were glamorised by the press
I hope I get my first ever play station before gta vi releases✨🙏🏾
being born in Africa ain’t easy, y’all don’t know how lucky you are
Jack is so damn good I wish he uploaded more.
Now that this got recommended, I finally found your channel again and I just wanted to give you some proper positive feedback,
I really enjoy this type of content and you definietly don't fail to make me laugh once or twice :)
Keep it up man, I'm sure I might come back to the channel in the future.
"My brother was playing and I was watching... again" that's so relatable 😂 love the videos jack
I'm the same age as you and I grew up playing GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas because my older brothers had them so I just played them whenever I had the PS2 to myself, and for my 12th birthday in 2008 I got an Xbox 360 with GTA IV with it, the graphics and physics absolutely blew my mind, as it was my first ever exposure to next gen
I loved 5 too but the nostalgia of the previous four makes them so special to me
Can we talk about the 2 guns on his desk 😂
As a fellow guy who grew up in a God fearing house, I didn't play GTA V until I left home and went to college. I couldn't sneak it because there was only one TV in our house.😂
Can't wait to just be able to go buy the next one and bring it home.
Your videos are such an inspiration to me Jack! I'm always blown away at the production value for a UA-cam video!
Impromptu heists would be epic, like robbing a convivence store in online, but with much more layers.
its nice to see that chinatown wars is actually played bc i think its one of the most forgotten gta games ever
That Niko impression got me fucked up keep doing it
your channel gets better by the minute! congrats man
Thank you!
You explaining grabbing a sultan rs and heading to the airport brought back soooooo many memories man I’m gonna cry 😭🤣😭🤣
It's a good day when Jack uploads!
You know you're old when someone says they had to ask their mom to play GTA V 👴
I got Vice City for ps2 on my 7th birthday in 2002. My dad bought without mom knowing and apparently she never checked to see what it was about😂 i cant wait for the return of vice city. I havent had the feeling of overwhelming nostalgia from a video game in years, prob since red dead 2, so ive got fingers crossed that gta 6 delivers
Same experience as you! Only got to play GTA at friends’ house because my family couldn’t afford video games. I’m 28 now & blessed to be able to heal my inner child and play the games I missed out on. I just started GTA online last year haha
Awesome video and I think you speak for the millions that play these past games. Hope you are doing well. Have a good one as a fellow Minnesotan.
Love the content Jack.
Wow thanks so much!
this is such a nice comment
This dude looks like Messi wth 💀
Am I glad I'm not the only one who noticed this.
Dude looks like bearded Messi, is also from Florida, Vice City is based on Miami, Messi plays for Inter Miami. It's so meta it's wild!
ngl that free roam heist idea is actually so fire
