These are parts that are guaranteed to fail on this prius, 1- the digital speedometer that displays your speed, 2- the break boaster/actuator, 3- the hybrid battery, 4,- the inventer water pump 5- Any of the front wheel bearing.! Those parts above are guaranteed to fail with time on this second generation prius no debate about it, this car is rare in uganda so sourcing the parts maybe a challenge BUT if you can source the parts on this prius, its a very reliable vehicle overall, the engine 1nz-fxe and the transmission are reliable the issue is the parts ive mentioned above failing, in a country like uganda, if those parts fail they can render this car useless, this car is more of a computer!
By Oct, i will be making a year driving hybrid, Fielder 2018. One key thing is less power on the accelerator/not over pressing it automatically leaves it at EV, up to about 60 km speed. On a highway, if driving carefully or not over pressing the pedal with energy, you can even achieve 30km/L. Basically, there is value for money.
On the funny side of the story/massape😅, the car still gets the attention of moving silently when on EV, bu baby nebukutunurira😅. That needs to be quantified as well,
