I might be a little late to the party but once again, awesome video. Seriously, the quality of your videos is amazing. I'm really glad you've included some lesser known titles too since every "Best games I've played last year" video I've seen consisted of mostly the same games. You've actually made me want to check out HIFI rush and I will do so, as soon as I have hardware that wasn't already outdated 6 years ago and can actually run these without my pc crying out in pain.
Never too late! Glad you liked the video! It's funny, I'm glad people like me including older titles, but it's just because I can't be bothered to play current-release games. I just go for games that appear to me lol. Also, I think HiFi Rush is one Game Pass still, so if you have an XBOX, you can check it out on that. It's so weird that Bethesda just dropped it with zero hype behind it because it's such a gem.
Who are you? How have I never heard of you. This is some of the best videogame content I've ever seen. You are destined to blow up far past your current numbers. I cannot overstate how incredible your content is.

Hey man, your videos are incredible. They're well written, funny, have great pacing and editing, among a bunch of other things. Keep up the great work and thank you!
2023 will easily go down alongside the Legendary Years of Gaming like 1997 and 2008, a seminal landmark in the medium when damn near every possible incredible thing that *could* come out, *did*. 2023 also brought us (It's easy to forget, this was a long F'cking Year) The best 2D Mario game since SMB3, Cyberpunk 2077's Redemption Arc, two titles both involving fishing somehow being incredible (Dredge and Dave The Diver), the long-awaited Re-release of Super Mario RPG, and a slew of incredible indie games from Pizza Tower to Sands of Sanaar. It will be a *long* time before we get another year as insane as this one, but I'm glad we have it. At least 2024 has already delivered some incredible new entries in Helldivers 2, Balatro, Unicorn Overlord and FF7 Rebirth - and with Frostpunk 2, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door Remake, and of course, the early access release of Hades 2 still waiting in the wings, I can't wait to see what's next.
Maybe I will try out Baldure's Gate now, hmm. For me games of the year were clearly Dave the Diver and Sea of Stars, the style alone made it worth the purchase.
Mechanicus also hits the right spot for me because the Necrons are my faction of choice. In the second act of BG3 I hit a fight that ended up being impossible for me, so I now know the feeling of losing a multiple dozen hour save. Good news, my new character is on the path to being more powerful, and I'm still having a good time. ...good god the Diablo jumpscare while I was writing this. Fully agreed that Hi-Fi Rush deserves the top spot alongside Larian's masterpiece.
I REALLY hope that we get more 40k content like Mechanicus because, my god, what a great game from such a small team. And sorry for the D4 jumpscare. I had to do it lmao

Funny story about BG3. I'm married to an amazing woman. And I'm trying to figure out who was following her around taking notes to get the character named Karlach. They act very similar and it's really wild.
