My dad flew F-15s for the Grim Reapers in Lakenheath for a couple years. Awesome squadron. They have one of the best squadron bars I’ve ever seen.
The resin dust and white glue to replicate the sheepskin is an outstanding solution. Awesome tip my friend :)
Cheers buddy 🤗🤗🤗
That is an awesome idea I am going to have to do to my 1/48 jets too and my 1/32 when I get another Strike Eagle to build
What a beauty! The weathering, staining effects turned out wonderful in the final reveal. The plane looks like it lived a long life sitting out in the sun and being flown hard.
Thank you 😊
It's a simple thing, but I really appreciate how you go about modeling. Wearing gloves, using the right tool for the job for cutting and scribing. It really a great demonstration to young modelers on how to model safe and produce great results.
Thank you very much
that instruction book is BEAUTIFUL
Thanks
I’m from RAF Lakenheath, and this was in my recomendeds haha, don’t even look up airforce videos 😂
👍
I was stationed at Lakenheath for 6 yrs. Worked on these very jets, in the 493rd FS. Outstanding detail, and the oil/dirt/grime really made it come to life. Great work!
Thank you
Was there a huge Irish guy(civilian security) on the gate doing vehicle searches when you were there? I did some work on lakenheath for a few weeks, this Irish guy was enormous, easily 6’10 if not more, one time I was sat waiting for my turn to be searched, he comes strutting over, wanders past the air force dog handler with M4 & Belgian Malinois in either hand, (not sure which one was more scary), then decides to put his hand out to stroke the said Malinois…a tenth of a second later you’ve never heard a bigger guy scream so much, shredded coat sleeve and blood everywhere with the Malinois snarling and yanking it’s head side to side ripping his skin off….soldier virtually whispered something and the dog was at ease again, albeit with a full belly 😂, Irish guy goes off to get medical treatment while the 20 odd people also waiting to be searched were rolling around laughing.
My best memory at lakenheath was every Friday the f15 pilot who’d done best that week got to do a vertical take off where they immediately go vertical as soon as the wheels leave the ground, the noise was ridiculous and the whole base shook like an earthquake
A great delight to watch, the experience a bit wistful in that I cannot experience it directly.
I actually watch the live feeds from Lakenheath, busy place!!
This model looks awesome!! The detail is just amazing especially in the cockpit, cool build well done 👍🏻
Thank you
I saw this perticular bird (LN 156) two years ago in the Mach Loop. Awesome spot to watch fighter jets close up.
And your work on this bird is as usual extraordinary, Peri!
Thank you very much
..That's a Incredible Model Kit at that Size.!..Awesome Finish...
Thanks Carlos
I really like the details like the wool on the seat and the practice missiles on the rails. Fantastic job!
Thanks Sam
thanks for posting I'm super excited to watch this.
Thank you
*A masterpiece in a collection of jet fighters, congrats Peri! 👍👏👏👏👏*
Cheers 🤗🤗🤗
I was stationed at Mildenhall, just down the road from Lakenheath, used to see their F-15's all the time
You lucky guy 🤗🤗
Honestly Peri, I look forward to your updates more than any other! Absolutely amazing as usual mate! 👍
Thank you my friend
Such an awesome kit. Such an awesome bird. You did that plane justice.
Thanks Mike
Beautifully finished and weathered model.....such an awesome bird in such a big scale. You must be very happy with the outcome so thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Thank you very much for your kind words 👍
Loved the model and my client even more 🤗
@@PerisModels People buy these pre-built? Putting them together is half the fun, right!? 😂 I just got my first model built, a 1/48 F16. Such a blast seeing it all come together. Great build + video from you as usual!
Brilliant work again❤
Gorgeous !!
Thank you
Superb build. Thanks for all the work in this.
Cheers buddy
Beautiful work!
Thank you
Looks A-mazing. What a great Eagle. I've been to Lakenheath and it's a good place to plane spot. This is great though; superb build and an fantastic finish (as usual!). Great stuff.
My dream to get south one of these day
Thank you
Well done. I've been away from modeling for so long and your video just may have lit a fuse. It must be one huge beautiful model.
Thank you
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. 👍

Perfect .
Thank you 😊
A work of art every time! I always hit the like button as the video is loading...
Cheers Ian
@@PerisModels You are more than welcome. I've learned so much from you. My first model looked like Homer Simpson's spice rack. Now they're not bad at all. Another 50 years and they'll be half as good as yours!
@@iandavies6620 🤗🤣
A little bit about this particular aircraft, 86-156:
"During one of the Close Air Support mission above/near the former Yugoslavia Col. Cesar Rico Rodriguez shot down a Serbian MiG-29. On March 24 1999 he downed the Fulcrum when flying aircraft 86-169/LN, using an AIM120 AMRAAM. On the same day the Squadron shot down another MiG-29 with aircraft 86-159/LN, using three AIM120's. Two days later, on March the 26th, aircraft 86-156/LN shot down two more MiG-29's in the afternoon, using two AMRAAM's as well. Within 72 hours the 493rd killed four Fulcrums!"
Beautiful work and well made.
Thank you
Great job on that big beast! Excellent video to boot (as usual). Appreciate the inspiration!
Thank you my friend 🤗🤗🤗

Great build, just wish you could have shown us more, such as how you painted the exhausts.
I have another f-15 video in 1/48 so check it out 😉
Very Nice Video tutorial Sir, and Awesome Built too 👌🤲
Thank you
Nice F15
Thank you
Отлично 👍👍👍😊🖐️
Thank you 👌🤗
Man this is an amazing build, I have always wanted to try to build this kit, but my skills aren't what yours are. How long did this take you? Great work!
Thank you
A couple of months
Subscribed after seeing this. Outstanding and realistic weathering . Have you done the 1/32!tamiya F-15e ? I’ve made so many and another one soon 😂
Thank you
F-15E is in the pipeline 😁😁😁
Hi Peri, another great build, well done, just one question, how do you get rid of the mold seam line on the canopy? Keep safe.
Thank you
Sanding in down
Inhave a video called how to check it 👌
@Peri's Models Hi, What are the MRP paints you used on this, as on the video you have listed the same colours for both bits of paint work ? Regards Ryan
Класс! Лайк и подписка, удачи вам.
Thank you
Ah, it's in the video...
Nice build, but i miss the nozzle painting (;
Awesome work. You make it look easy. How did you make the intake fod covers?
Thank you
The covers is just a piece of plastic card covers with kitchen paper soaked in white glue
Then printed decals
Crazy detail, it gives impression of standing few feet away from the real jet. Where did You get the CATM-120C, if I'm not mistaken this kit contains Sparrows.
Best regards,
Thank you 😊
The aim-120 came from spare tamiya f-16 😉
Beautiful model. What peints brand and color codes did you use for the basic camouflage scheme?
Mr paint
See the notation in the videp
I have this kit in stand-by w wolfpack msip2 resin kit. 2 info: 1) the Aires kit is complete for msip2 standard ( cockpit and esterna antenna & sub missile launch)? 2) aim 120 & aim 9x are Eduard resin kit or? Ps good job!
Aires is a great resin kit
The wolfpack misillenlaincers are great
I haven't used eduards missiles but I ve seen good reviews
It's very nice and politely work. Is this really a model ? : )
Thank you my friend
Great build as always!
Question fit you when using Tamiya panel line wash, so you let it dry then wipe it off or wipe it before its dry? Are you using anything to help wipe it off like water or alcohol? Thanks!
Thank you
I let the liner dry mist of the time depending if I am in a hurry 🤣
If it doesn't come off I use some cheap thinner from a hardware shop
@@PerisModels haha thank you I appreciate the help!
Curious. Whicih dark and med grey did you use? the captions look like its the same grey pre mask as post mask but the colors are different. Thanks in advance.
Am I missing something or are the fins not on the Aim-12? Awesome build, truly inspiring!
If they are training missiles they don't put the find on
Peri's Models thanks for the clarification!
Bellissimo e bravissimo. Volevo sapere, i colori con cosa li diluisci? E poi prima di pitturare la fusoliera che alcool utilizzi? Complimenti ancora.
Thank you
I don't understand
11:10 😍😍😍😍
Thanks
Stunning kit. Great result.
I see both control flaps (roll) are hanging down..........
Is this correct? Should one of them not point up.........?? That would be logical, to me.
thank you
I wouldn't know but I just followed the kit
@@PerisModels There could be a technical reason for it. If anyone knows, please tell us. But the control flaps for roll (ailerons) always work in opposite directions, otherwise the airplane could never roll...! ;-)
This brought out the detective in me!
I did find a couple of youtube vids of eagles being started up from which I deduce that the ailerons do both droop down before the engine is started and presumably hydraulic power becomes available.
Just call me Sherlock....
@@dorsetdumpling5387 That's what I said.... There could be a technical reason for it ! ;-)
Thanks for the research. I'll look into it, too.
@@dorsetdumpling5387 excellent work Sherlock 👌👍
Thank you for the info
Awesome hobby! If I want begin with this hobby wat are the basics required!
Thank you
You will need a side cutter, modelling knife, sanding paper, contact cement and paints
Do you conduct any tutorials or session regarding modelling? I would be interested in joining..🙏🙏
Bellissimo modello e ben realizzato. Come hai tolto la linea di giunzione del canopy?
Thank you
I don't understand
@@PerisModels il canopy trasparente ha la linea centrale della stampata. L'hai tolta? Come?
I’m confused, I only ever saw one pair of hands in this whole video but the subtitles kept saying “we did this” “we did that”…did you have someone helping you in between filming ?
🤣🤣🤣
It's fr my days when I was writing articles
Used plural
Wanna job
thk's for your references & technique
Thank you
how long did you take to do this, seems challenging
Took a couple of months as I only model the weekends
@@PerisModels wow!
Is there a team of modellers working on this! or just one person...
Just me my friend 😏
@@PerisModels Ahh I was confused as in the descriptions it says 'we' before you say what you are doing with the model.
@@unit0033 😜🤣
Please tell me, what pressure and needle for the Black primer do you used.
My first airbrush Modell is the xb70 valkyrie. A huge one all over white.
Thanks
You fount the answer 😉
Yes, but I can't imagine that it work's. Airbrush is a lot of try and error I think
@@herrzwackelmann2876 for a very large surface i ll use a 0.4 wide nozzle
Yes, ok. I've got 0,5 as the biggest, so I wanna use that one. The pressure in combination with color is the other thing. I think about thinner and paint with 1:1 (tamiya). Pressure will be tested until the result is OK for me.
I'm excited ;-)
@@herrzwackelmann2876 good luck
What's going in the canopy @29:07 a flight map?
Yes
Good presentation but sort out the damn music. I was asleep by the time you finished the cockpit.😂😂😂
🤗
Peri pls build gundum plsss😭😭😭
Help me to choose one
There are so many.....
@@PerisModels well there are a lot of interesting ones, if you're going to paint/ modify then hg or mg are probably the best solution.
As for the model go for what you like more my choise would be a jesta but maybe knowing you do planes usually you could try a transformable one
I know I'm a couple of weeks late to the party, but I found this video yesterday. It's an in depth tour and breakdown of the cockpit of an F-15C given by a former eagle driver. It's probably the best walk - around I've ever seen. Hopefully someone can use it on their next build:

You will need another house 🤣🤣🤣

It is from the old days I was writing for magazines
