That was fun! Thanks so much! I'm in my '80s and recall in my youth ice fishing back in the 1940s. About the only similarity is that we did have huts to keep us warm 🙂.

Just an idea. It's something I do when I go out overnight or more and want food. Cook the rice before hand and put in ziploc bags. Once you cook the main course, use that to heat the rice. It heats up the rice and cools down the protein for a perfect temp meal. It's my go-to for an overnight fishing trip.
So quick story time..
I found your channel about a year and half ago when i finally got my first apartment. I was just 22 years old, running a high fever middle of the night/early morning so i decided to hop in a hot shower about 3 in the morning. I threw one of your camping videos on and put my phone on the ledge while i took my hot shower with the lights off and the amount of comfort that came with your videos were so overwhelming relaxing. I almost passed out standing up lol. But ever since, i’ve watched all of your videos and they never fail to entertain. You kill it everytime and always keep it interesting yet somehow peaceful in a way. Just wanna say i been appreciating tf of your channel! The cooking is always the best part😂

@@MyCre8tiveUserName i had the flu so i don’t know how dangerous it was. Every time i get i usually take hot showers to relax my body and headaches and just soak up all that relaxing warmth for like 30 minutes to an hour. Idk how bad that is but it really does make it feel better so i can go back to sleep😂 Thank you for the worries though! I felt better within two days after or so
@@jctheii oh yes I agree 💯💯💯💯 !! I love doing that even when I'm well haha. Long hot showers are the best way to relax, and reduces my anxiety. So if not feeling well, it is the go-to! Just gotta be careful if you have a fever, but when you're sick it's hard to think about anything besides finding relief....and the flu is so awful!! Please stay healthy and well out there my friend!

Mav I met with my new cardiologist at the VA yesterday March 28th 2023. I went to get the OK so I can have my gallbladder removed do to gallstones. I've had 28 heart attacks 1 stroke 9 heart operations and a few or more stents. Well I may have coded 17 times in a row as well. Who knows I love a good story lol. Mav I'm vary proud of you. Your hard working and honest. The world can be a wilderness always keep your wits about you. I tease my best friend I tell him Use Protection and wash your hands he he. I love'ya mav hug hug hug :) I forgot my heart doc said yes for my operation.
You should do a luxury weekend camping with Brody in the big tents so he can enjoy the tv as well!

A weird dream of mine for the future is to have a nice portable bus home and a house boat equipped with satellite internet, top of the line gaming pcs/consoles. The ability to go somewhere remote to set up camp for the night, run some games, watch some movies, eat some food, either solo or with friends would be awesome.
Lol, when I was a kid 11 years old I lived in my tent for 6 month outside my moms bedroom window in the backyard, and set up my air mattress and Nintendo and tv brings back good memories, Thanks Mav, thank you thank you thank you.🤜🏼💥🤛🏼

Hello, when I was still driving my 40 ton semi truck in international long haul, I always kept my car clean, I never had dust and dirt lying in the truck. I always wiped my truck with wet wipes briefly in the morning and abeds and I was often at hazardous waste sites and landfills. Because if something ever falls down to eat, I still want to be able to eat it afterwards. And you should really do that soon with the curtains for the space behind your driver's seat where you stow your stuff. The curtain rails are available in the aftermarket for 40-ton trucks, and so are the curtains.
1. No one sees what you have behind your seat and if no one sees it, no one cares.
2. your material doesn't get so dusty.
You should definitely secure your water canister with a rubber expander.
It won't fall over, bounce around during the ride, or leak. I've spent 1.3 million miles on the road. In addition, you should stow your gas bottles so that they can not break, if another car drives on the rear, gas should then leak out and the other car still run the engine, there are small sparks in the alternator, then the gas bottles could explode.😉

I did the same thing on a trip with a buddy to lake of the woods earlier this year. Got star link setup and fished all weekend slaying walters, watching a star war marathon, and playing world of warcraft for a long weekend. Was a sick trip.

Mav, I’m in Boy Scouts and I LOVE to camp. The funny thing is that my troop only goes on two day weekend camping trips, and I always only pack exactly what I need to get through the weekend. Watching you is so cool because it’s exactly what I think it would feel like if I packed everything that I wanted to instead of only the necessary items. I know it would be so fun to bring a bunch of unnecessary gear, but oh boy does it take long to unpack and pack up. It’s such a hassle but I imagine you find it fun 😅
Also it looks so fun to be able to cook a feast instead of like hotdogs and grilled cheeses lol, but again it’s just so unrealistic for me as a Boy Scout in my troop. I imagine you have so much fun out there 😊

you will get this setup more tuned - should be a bit easier to manage for summer camping - go overboard just to see what you can do - add a network of cams and add in energy sipping small pc components - arm sbc boards like rockpi/nanopi - much better value than rasp pi, add a better wifi antennae

Dry sauté those mushrooms! Will change your life dude. Dry pan on medium low heat. Add mushrooms and just let them do their thing. Stir occasionally until everything is nice and caramelized. Chefs kiss

I installed 9 speakers in a "Citroen Dyane" 30+ years ago. I had over 10 light bulbs all over the inside of the car. Everything was in red color inside, with various furs, and with those little light bulbs it had some ambiance. Everything disappeared in 10 seconds, when it caught fire due to an overload of the installation.
Buddy saying "this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen" coupled with "you got a fish on the line" had me in hysterics.
I’d like to see just a 3 day luxury camping trip. Great meals cooked and some games, plus fishing. No rush and just a chill lux camping good times
