@@AffectionateCanoe-vc4hj - GPU drivers make some very fundamental changes to the way your computer generates images/frames; and they're known to be somewhat unstable in the first place. He's using three *completely* different GPUs, which require three *completely* different drivers to operate properly. There is *bound* to be a conflict at some point. Hell, even updating a single driver for a single GPU can break your whole system. Our boy here is playing with fire 😄😄 (though obviously that's the whole schtick haha)

I actually lived kind of like this for four months back in 2016. I was up on some property in Northern California with a big tent, solar power, solar internet, and a gaming laptop. I didn't use it to keep myself warm but I had a folding table desk on one end of my tent, and my cot on the other. Was a pretty sweet setup if I'm being honest.

I used to run Furmark and Prime 95 when I was renting a room in an old house with poor insulation and single glazed windows, my PC was my overnight heater, worked well but I'm glad I wasn't paying the electricity bill there.

Me and my best friend had to do this up in Southern Appalachia. The temperatures dropped to 3f, but we were on top of a mountain and the wind was blowing right through us. There was supposed to be an old shelter up there - previously a cabin but now just a stone foundation with a few walls and no door. We never found it, so we were exposed. We did not get naked, but we grinded upon another to generate friction and it was one of the most intense moments I've ever had with another man.

14:24 this was my exact scenario at my old house. A bungalow with single glazed windows and no heating. I used to run FurMark on multi thousand pound pc to stay warm. It worked too. Plus FurMark is almost as mesmerising as a fire.

Heat went out in my building couple of winters ago, Mining software is your friend if ya wanna use the gaming pc for heating a room, and it works quite well.

i've slept in extremely cold temps before. The key is to trap bodyheat by fully covering your body. For example, military guys will use insulated sleeping bags that are windproof. I used to have one of these when I slept outside but inside, you can use wool or any thick blanket to trap bodyheat.

Love how nice Micro-Center employees are, rather than finding a reason to tell you no they find a way to accommodate whatever you may need (no matter how ridiculous). S/o them and the company for having things set up so well, anyone who works for a company that big knows how hard it is to cultivate a good environment especially when you're customer facing
On literally any other cpu I would too just put some in the middle, but the thread ripper I’d put it on more evenly. It’s just so massive and expensive.
