    I recently picked up the Army Painter Fanatic Complete set and started using it. I’ve been mini painting off and on for over 20 years. These paints are the best I’ve used. To be fair I’ve only used about 12-15 paints at this point, but the ones I’ve used are fantastic. Thoroughly satisfied. Thanks Army Painter!

    Dude, I just still love my old 50 Warpaints set. Someone early on gave me the idea that they weren't the best, but mine are excellent. Not one single dropper bottle has chunks or unusable paint. The same absolutely cannot be said for you-know-who. Let's just say I'm done doing pots. I cannot wait to try the Fanatic line.

    You guys are what got me into painting minis. Speedpaints specifically combined with more traditional paints and methods can make for great armies in a lot less time. Need to pick up the fanatic line up as it makes painting so much easier with proper names and the colour triads.

    I used to paint miniatures as a hobby and had migrated to traditional art. I am proud to say your paints especially the release of the fanatic set pulled me back in. I now have the complete fanatic range, speed paints 2.0, and have just ordered the complete air set! Thanks Army Painter from a fan for life

    Yep, that's what I'm saying all the time. It's a rich hobby, there are painters and there are gamers (and whole plethora of people in between). Wanna kneel three months before single skeleton and do 142 layers of translucent paint for perfectly smooth shades? Go grab some Scale 75 and do your magic, they're meant exactly for that kind of painting. Wanna do those 200 boyz fast and go on a happy WAAAGH! with your friends? The Army Painter.
    Also, the mug. Now.

      As it turns out, the fanatic stuff is great for those 142 translucent layers too. After using them a fair bit it really does feel like no matter your skill level or painting style it's got you ... covered. (sorry not sorry)

    Well now after owning complete set of fanatic and complete set of speed paint 2.0, the only other thing in the states I think we'd love to see is basing options. We've all used your tufts before, but seeing all of these European companies making "base ready" mixes that you dip your bases into would be amazing to quickly knock out basing with Army Painter.

    been using your products for many many years and my friends always gave me poop for it saying those paints are junk etc that i needed to use a more popular brand etc. My response was always BUT my pieces look good, everyone likes them, so are the paints junk or are you a paint snob. very excited to find some of these paints local and do up something and be like seeeee guys still a good paint and it was painted in less time. i work in a autobody repair shop, i know a thing or two about paint and have access to them and i still choose to use army painter paints.

    Haven't been able to try any Fanatic paints, but the AP Speedpaints I got for CHristmas have been a game changer. They are my #1 choice for basecoating now.

    Need a Recycling incentive for rattlecans/spraycans or something like a reuseable spraycan, cheaper alternative to airbrushes.
    but cheers army painter, keep up the good work.

    Still have some 60+ bottles from the warpaints range. I'm still looking for a comparison list between the old warpaints and the fanatic range. ex. necromancer cloak, wizards orb, etc.
    Any plans to do a list? I would like to go from the old range to the new range with the same colours I've using. The ones with the same names are easy enough. I am happy with the old range, so I will be delighted with the fanatic range.
    I picked The Army Painter products as my main tools and paints. So far I haven't regretted it since. Keep up the great job.

    In the spirit of this, have yall considered doing airbrush primers in the same or similar colors to your rattlecans?

    • @FreshCoatKustoms
      @FreshCoatKustoms 2 місяці тому

      I'd recommend using a can first and then reprime with normal acrylics, because the most polyurethane primers will clog your airbrush too often.

    • @xxbrkdwnxx
      @xxbrkdwnxx 2 місяці тому +1

      @@FreshCoatKustoms this. spray can prime black (or gray, brown. whatever is a darker color that fits the color scheme) then just lay down a base coat with your airbrush paints.

    I've been really happy with the Fanatics paints, but I have two major issues.
    1) the Reds. The warm reds are too orange and the cold reds are too pink. We need something inbetween that is a nice, vibrant red.
    2) the Purples. Terrestial Titan is too dark compared to the other 5 in the group, and those 5 are too pale. Again I'd like an additional Purples group with more vibrancy.

    • @Jasha127
      @Jasha127 2 місяці тому

      Yep, the reds are pretty much my only issue (though I haven’t touched purples yet to see that big gap). My only other complaint is a lack of really really dark colors.

    • @TheArmyPainter
      @TheArmyPainter  2 місяці тому +1

      To get the best possible coverage, our Warpaints Fanatic range was reformulated with a new base, which includes additives including white for opaqueness. Our red are some of our most pigment heavy paints in the entire range, to give you the most vibrant reds we possibly could with the amazing coverage you expect from the Fanatic range.

    • @xxbrkdwnxx
      @xxbrkdwnxx 2 місяці тому +1

      i agree on the reds. This isn't a replacement for a true red in the range, but I had great results with using either of the reds starting from the darkest up through the highlights, then after those steps thinning down speed paints blood red 3-1 with speedpaint medium and using it as essentially a glaze. you still maintain the smooth blend (this worked awesome on cloaks) but the blood red really ties the pinky/purply hue of the cool reds together into something more "pure" red.

    • @PrzybyszzMatplanety
      @PrzybyszzMatplanety 2 місяці тому +2

      From what I saw you need to do a glaze with Speedpaints and SP medium to increase vibrancy. Pure Red is really good at decreasing orange/pink tone of two red triads. You additionaly smooth out layers as a bonus. I would do the same with Purple Swarm/Hive Dweller Purple for the magentas and violets. They actually did the trick with red in their Space Marine Terminator tutorial. You can use inks as well and mix them with the paint.
