If you're doing more tank tutorials, please do a hammerhead next, I want to see you guys handle the curvy surfaces
A dip-it brush range would be amazing! Especially that blue handle.
Well done, that crisp yellow -taxi- tank
YES! vehicles. i'm working on a tank now. love this
Sick paintjob.
Currently using first-run 'Speed Paint Pallid Bone' and 5-year-old 'Warpaints Skeleton Bone' to paint the original Warcry starter box. Skeleton Bone rattle can basecoat. These have been crucial for my desert terrain. The matte spray finish is better at holding paint than Citadel's satin spray imo, and both Skeleton Bone paints actually do color-match perfectly. By thinning down then repeatedly layering on like heavy washes in all the corners, I've been able to create a sand buildup effect on the brick. Then I do a dry brushing (mashing/grinding) leftover dried pigment into the cracks between the boards for additional sand accumulation. It sounds almost barbaric, but it actually looks photo-realistic.
I need to get some of that Matte varnish for when I'm done. Shwing!
If you don't like the shadows, then use purple and pink instead of brown as a pre-shade. It'll look more orange, but it works well as a transition.
really great video, I love the paint process and how it is delivered. 2:33 reminds me that you guys are yet to jump into the painting handle boat! you should make one
I need that Dipit's brush!
I would love to see similar tutorial for deathwatch tank ❤
Awesome video once again, quick question, i have the fanatic range but no air colors, can i use it in an airbrush and get the same finish or will it be radically different? Have a good one guys, you rock!
You can definitely use it in an airbrush, you'll just want to make sure you thin it enough with Airbrush Medium so it can flow through the airbrush properly.
So with the Color primers
Lets say i'm painting Tau mech, and i want to have the raw inner frame parts in Gun metal, could i use the "gun metal" color primer and then paint the other parts in red and whites to get the correct look for the FSE?
Yes :) Generally, with our Colour Primers, you'll want to pick whatever the majority colour on your model will be.
Will you guys do some historics like epic Napoleonics or Pike and Shotte?
We're always working on new tutorials and videos using a variety of popular models and ranges. Keep an eye on our channel in the future to see what comes out!
❤🔥👍🙌
Why black over metallic spots and not white?
We basecoated the metallics black first because that tends to give the best results, though you could certainly paint them over white as well.
