@@Nagim-d3z I'm fine with sun roofs/panoramic roofs. Lucid has a full on glass screen that goes over your head, I'd rather not have the sun all over my head/face. Sun roof/panoramic roof you can open/close it and it's just to light up the cabin, which I'm fine with. I know they sell sun shades, but still, I'd just rather not have an entire glass roof. Which is also expensive to fix if you crack anything since it' have to be replaced entirely if it's bad enough.
Beautiful car, i got to sit in the next trim up and it was nice. My grandpa sat in the display car for a solid 15 minutes being comfortable in it at a car show we went to lol
Anybody else prefer no glass roof? Not only a better financial decision because one crack and there goes your salary, but it also helps to not superheat your interior any more than usual. At least imo
Tint is required for this reason alone. And if you're knowledgeable you'd make sure to get ceramic ir tint, which blocks 99.9% of all UV rays and 97-98% of all infrared rays. This is achieved at any darkness level, even a perfectly clear tint can achieve the same result. This is why almost every car after the 90s doesn't just cook the person alive in the summer in hot climates. Because regardless of you having ac, you're still in a big metal can with glass windows, and those widows will let through all the sun's rays right onto your skin, giving you a sunburn very quickly. Most cars don't have the ceramic ir tint from factory, so they only block out a minimum legal amount of those harmful rays. But most luxury cars come with that higher end tint from the factory. If not, then it's really easy to go have it installed on whatever car you have.
Also, if you're worried about a glass roof cracking, then you should be worried about having a windshield, as that's going to be significantly more expensive to replace and is also in the worst spot possible for getting hit by something. The roof is almost guaranteed to never get hit by anything.
@AquaGuy-n7k the main pros are it gives a little more room overhead, especially if it's a panoramic sunroof, and it gives a lot more light into the cabin which inherently makes the cabin feel much more spacious. The biggest con is that it generally adds extra weight compared to a solid roof. But that's not something anyone should actually care about unless they're buying a car like a gt3rs or some other track car for the road.
