Great video. I've used acid to clean the zinc coating off parts before and it's a bit tedious but worth the extra effort of you're going to weld them

For sure it's tedious, but definitely faster than with an angle grinder, plus you cant grind the inside off....
Maybe it's not so much an issue with mig, but if you tig weld it, you gonna have a bad time.

@@ChristophLehner new to welding and got scrap galvanised to practice. is it safe to weld as long as you grind the coating off on both sides?

@@scottmcdonald3668 remove as much as you can, and wear a mask, or weld outside.
If you breathe too much you get zinc fever
