Those Guys Rock , They are the real deal , The Best Ride I ever had , that chopper is very loud when your flying , It is very fast too !The Crew was awesome Great Guys !!!!!!
Refers to keeping the engine full speed. These usually happen when time is truly a problem and the victim is ready for pickup and in very very bad condition
So in laymans' terms, it means the engines are still running versus temporary shutdown. www.justhelicopters.com/ArticlesNews/CommunityArticles/tabid/433/Article/67649/The-Hot-Load-Time-Saver-or-Time-Waster.aspx
I am not quite sure about NJSP SouthSTAR, but NJSP NorthSTAR is now doing hot loads for nearly all patients due to the very high main rotor, and a two pilot configuration with the NJSP co-pilot acting as another set of eyes outside the aircraft. However, they are toying with a recipe for disaster on a multitude of issues, and may become complascent, until just before they are rocked into reality ---> a flight crew has died !!. There are also numerous safety issues in this 4:23 span of time. Watch the video closely and see three sheets that are loose with both doors open. A hot load is in progress and a loose sheet flies into one of the rotors. Six people near the rotorcraft are killed, and possibly a few bystanders. All NJSP and NorthSTAR personnel do not have their clear visors down. Remember the bloodborne pathogens lecture, and also the cornea surgery you would need if a small object hits your eye. The NJSP co-pilot is not guarding the tail rotor while EMS personnel lose train of thought and back-up into the tail rotor. It only takes a second !!! An accidental discharge of the weapon that both NJSP pilots have on a waist belt. We all know that Troopers carry weapons at all times, but what are they going to do with them - open a door or window port and start shooting from the aircraft ??? FAA yanks their license to fly. Pilot and co-pilot have night vision goggle hubs on their flight helmets. The RN and MICP could have them while looking out the window on their way to a request, or on the way back to their base. The more eyes out the windows, the safer you are. It's not a great expense when you compare the cost of the NVGs to the cost of the AW139, and the loss of life. Lastly, the43k did a great job in showing that NJSP and NorthSTAR need to tighten up their safety issues before something catastrophic occurs. PLEASE ??? In the last 10 years there have been too many deaths in the aeromedical business. You are so very important. Please don't end up as a statistic !!
This is a multi-mission ship that serves the citizens for free, not a for profit money machine that is more interested in maximizing profits than patient care at 15 or 20 grand a flight.
Thank you for saving lives in New Jersey. I'm from Missouri.
Saw you guys practicing in Lambertville/West Amwell 5 July 2023 over Delaware River. Pedal on!

It's very loud inside the helicopter because it's big. The engines are big.

I was rushed to Coper Hospital in the State Police Chopper , They Are Fucking AWESOME !!!! , So was my Surgeon !!!!
That's a nice helicopter, I love Agusta's
The AW139s are LOUD!!
Pretty neat how it can fly with the rotor blades turning backwards ;-)
Sorry for you injury, but happy you seem to have enjoyed the helicopter ride. ;)

Wait until you see your bill for the medieval ride.
If the wreck doesn't kill you the bill will.
Shakes 73 Trumpcare won’t pay for it
NorthSTAR is $1300 for some, free for some others

What exactly is a 'hot load'? It looked standard to me.
Refers to keeping the engine full speed. These usually happen when time is truly a problem and the victim is ready for pickup and in very very bad condition
We had one that loaded a patient and then hovered about 10 minutes or more when it got about 10 feet up.
So in laymans' terms, it means the engines are still running versus temporary shutdown.

I was told by a pilot that they sometimes have to burn off fuel to balance the weight, usually because of heavyweight patients.
Nice vid but really Hot loads are not worth the extra risks involved.
Hot load meaning not shutting down the rotors? I’ve never seen state police shut down before
I play base ball there and a girl got stabbed😭

What a waste of money on a big helicopter. Here at trinity flight we save the money and get faster and safer helicopters
This is a multi-mission ship that serves the citizens for free, not a for profit money machine that is more interested in maximizing profits than patient care at 15 or 20 grand a flight.
William Bruck Still a waste of money cause the trinity flight helicopters can be out fitted for the same thing.
OH IT MUFTI MISSION
Demo.
