Fun fact ....I was one of her Truck drivers on the 1998 Lilith Fair Tour !!! Was a fantastic Summer touring around America and Canada with my wife in the truck. She treat us like gold the whole tour, such a great voice and wonderful person.
I went to a couple of those Lilith Fairs. Been too long to remember if it was '98 without looking it up though! 😆 My band used to cover Possession. It was one of the only songs I played bass on (I'm primarily a guitarist) because I had to sing that harmony part and the bass was more consistent rhythmically. It always went down well! Sarah is a fantastic songwriter and a beautiful soul.
So many unique artists came out of the 90s and Sarah was one of the best. She looks and sounds awesome here. Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is a masterpiece and really transports you back to that amazing era of music.
The album 'Fumbling Towards Ecstasy' absolutely floored me when it came out-for months and months I listened. This brings me back to a time and place I cherish now.
@@dubaidaddy13me too’ I remember falling asleep to it as a teen. It was so comforting. This album is in my top 5 albums of all time if not in my top 3.
One of very few artists who has proven time and time again that she sounds even better LIVE, than on her albums. Her and her band are nothing short of immaculate up on any stage.
she aged REALLY well. I forgot I had a massive crush on her voice 27 years ago. When it feels like they are singing to [you] -they’re doing it right. Which doesn’t always translate over audio alone.
wow, 1994, what a year for music!! Fumbling Toward Ecstasy was an absolute amazing CD I played over and over. It was just the beginning of the rocket ship for her. She is still amazing and looks amazing too.
She hasn't lost a step...still at the top of her game. Sounds and looks amazing. I love that they prominently show the backup singer...instead of hiding her behind a screen, or even worse, using a pre-recorded track. A++++ all around!
Kelly Clarkson promotes her backup singer. She introduces her and lets her sing some solo moments because Kelly always says how amazing she is. It's nice when you see an artist do that.
That's why you have to go see her in concert! She's on the road right now playing the entire Fumbling Towards Ecstasy album!! It is the touchstone to that period of my life.
she has Def aged. she's rocking blonde hair... with dark hair you would see those wrinkles better. and the overall her face is not as full. and the body has def aged, her arms are twice the size they used to be. she looks great.. but let's not drink the kool aid the aging signs are EVERYWHERE
Wow. I’ve always thought that this is one of the most beautiful and powerful songs ever written. This just took me back to a time that I yearned for a love that would lift me out of darkness.
Wow. Her voice sounds as good as it did 30 years ago. I saw her in concert about 10 years ago, but this performance blew me away. What a voice. She had an amazing stretch of great music. Transcended me right back to a great period.
As a Canadian we obviously all know each other. I used to work with a guy that went to high school with Sarah. He described her as smart, geeky and really into her music. That said I’ve seen her in concert many times in my live and have never left disappointed.
One of the very best! Beautiful songwriter, phenomenal voice! I have listened to her music for many years and many nights.. I can’t get enough of her! Just wish that she would have created more music, because her music touches my soul!
This is the best performance I've ever seen on Jimmy Kimmel show. I don't make a habit to watch it, but I'm so glad I saw this. This song got me through so much hardship growing up, and inspired me to use music as a means of healing and self therapy. Every lyric in this song is precious, and so is Sarah. Glad to see her healing hearts again. I wish her all the very best as she tours America again.
Sounds as good as when it released 30 years ago. This was the soundtrack to my trip to Ecuador back in 94. I'd travel on the buses, sit by the side of the streams, lay on my bed late at night high in the Andes mountains listening to this song and the others from the album. It surprises me that even after all these years the lyrics pour out of me spontaneously, such was the impact of this music on my life.
I randomly bought this CD in one of those "10 CD's for 1.00" BMG type things. I couldn't believe how amazing the album was, and then suddenly, she became famous.
I remember in high school jamming to Nirvana and Candlebox with the boys when I discovered this album. I never did admit to anyone that there were whole weeks where I just listened to this album on repeat. On my first CD player no less!
The voice of an angel. Got to see her live on this most recent tour for Fumbling 39tb anniversary. It felt like such a spiritual moment to relive that album live. Still gorgeous as ever. Her voice is absolute perfection at this stage of her life. How does she get more gorgeous over time too?! ❤
I have the honour of seeing her in concert next month 🙏🎶. Also saw her at Lilith Fair back in the day. This music takes me back in a crazy way, it hits home. And holy crap she still looks and sounds amazing!!
Flumbing Towards Ectasy is one of those albums that are more than epic , ahead of its time , just perfection . Not one song is bad . Amazing she still sound this flawless.
Just seen her last month for the 30th anniversary tour of Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. She was sick, but still sounded so great. Love her. The world needs more music like this again, so much fake shit on the radio.

What a great memory! Thank you for sharing!
I saw her on that tour!!
My second concert. I was 17.
Bet that was an awesome experience thanks for sharing! Saw her at the Lilith Fair too in LA, she was amazing!

I’m still wonder is it natural or effects ? Yes she has not lost anything to years amazing ❤
A few lingering close ups, would help. She's beautiful.
Fumbling Towards Ecstasy was the soundtrack of my life for years. Still a beautiful reminder of who I was then.
Well said 💯
Hearing this songs takes me right back. She still sounds beautiful.
My god. Her voice is still every bit as captivating as it ever was.
100%
Lyp synching.
Incredible
No no no. She still performs. @seangorsuch6014
Sure is.
This is one of the best songs of the 90’s. I miss that decade, and the fact that so many women were at the forefront of rock and pop.
Wow moving reply, how long did it take you to write it?
No autotune, no twerking, no rubber lips necessary here. This is real talent, real beauty.❤
👏 🙌 well said! They don't make rock stars like this anymore at all. She is class!
True
💯
There is always a comment just like this on every live performance video on UA-cam. 😂
Absolutely!
The album 'Fumbling Towards Ecstasy' absolutely floored me when it came out-for months and months I listened. This brings me back to a time and place I cherish now.
Same. Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is an outstanding album. So many unforgettable, really exquisite tracks.
Following Vox, what a one-two punch of beautiful albums from someone so young! (Shout-out to Halifax, NS)
One of my most favorite albums. Lots of car rides...
I would love to be able to find her hidden track of an acoustic ‘Possesion’ on Fumbling Toward Ecstasy. It’s perfection.

Oh, to be young and in my mid-50s again...
AND, her rhythm electric guitar playing sounded excellent!

She still sounds amazing 31 years later 👌
that woman's range and breath control is so admirable, she's the real

@@adnap She is touring and stops in Phoenix on June 4th. I can't say if a new album is coming out or not. Maybe.
@@vickydavis1171 Okay, Thank you.
She’s maintained her vocals because she stays in her range. She hasn’t spent years abusing her cords like so many others.
Perfect performance.
It's a pretty impressive range to start with.
Like who?
@@hanneloreclemenson1228yes. i was wondering that too. our voice ranges typically tick downward with age bc our vocal chords become less elastic ...
@@hanneloreclemenson1228 Sadly, Tori Amos really damaged her voice and has to modify a lot of her old songs to fit a more limited range now.

Exactly 💯. I was surprised myself. Wow.👍
