The human voice is a marvel, there is no mistaking this woman's sound for anyone else. Like other singers, someone can do a cover but no one can replicate that specific sound. She was brilliant!

The first time I saw 10,000 Maniacs was on SNL in 91’ I think. I was absolutely blown away and still am every time I hear her voice. Some of the best music ever made came out between 89 and 93.

This was the song that was playing the very moment I was expecting my daughter. She's now going to be 20 in February. She's in second year pre-law at a top Canadian university. She's expecting my grandson in April. She is continuing her studies in summer intersession and we are all very proud of her.

I've probably watched this 50 times. I loved 10,000 maniacs since In my Tribe, and always loved every solo Natalie Merchant song. This is one of my favorite performances.
My children just read the book "Wonder" about the boy, Auggie I think his name, with facial deformities and this is the song that inspired the book's title.
