Ah my favorite sitcom, “Healers having an aneurism and a God complex.” Joking aside, I have nothing but respect for people who main healers. All the jobs have responsibilities to maintain, but the sheer levels of stress that you guys have to deal with is more than many are willing to deal with. If there’s anything we all should remember, is it’s better to work with your healers than act as though their mercy is taken for granted. Blood for the Blood Lily.
bro. everything you said is so true about ppl being too far from aoe. i just ignore them and let them die so they learn then i'll res them if they are needed, if not i'll wait until boss is dead so they learn quicker.
There are better heals obviously but it is irksome how people scoff at using alternative heals like it's a bad thing. I think as a Whitemage being able to make use of your best options you have available is most important. Telling Whitemages that using x spell is bad - will make them scared to use their alternatives in a pinch. No spell is bad just knowing when to use them in a priority is important, so use Regen if it's the best option available.
Even worrying about what's the best option isn't importqnt unless you're trying to push your gameplay to max efficiency. It's okay to just do enough rather than doing as much as possible.
As a DRK it doesn’t bug me if TBN doesn’t break or I don’t need Living Dead because the healer is on his/her/their game. I use mits always, too. TBN recycles fast enough and DRK has a ton of mits. They’re there for a reason. And thoroughly fuck wall-to-wall pulls. They stress out healers and overwhelm new DPS characters. And I don’t like them. And as for alt heals, pop em if you got em. I play healers too sometimes but like sage better than the pure healers.

What happened to the people in this game? I am where I am in the game from making mistakes, being given feedback and pointers, and taking my time to learn the jobs. All without being rude to someone who is just trying to be helpful. And sure, there are a-holes out there with zero patience or recognition of the fact that they too had to learn somehow. That’ll be your video’s healer soon. The arrogant, impatient jerk who profs their tank to pull the Alliance raid boss while others are trying to watch a CS because they suddenly feel better than everyone else. The attitude is always the dadgum same. The healer in the video was far more toxic than any of the other characters.
