Thank you 🤗 I, and so many other women are listening and are on board with your information and advice. It's our doctors who need to learn and catch up now. They're still terrified of HRT, yet won't bat an eyelid about prescribing chemical contraceptives. Only the known is safe, only if their colleagues are doing it will they do it. This is easier than learning something new by themselves without a drug rep. Where is the interest? Where is the critical thinking? It's no good for the patient who's been listening and learning and then is met with a 'no, I'm not comfortable' from the doctor because of gaps in their own knowledge. Keep going Dr Newson 💛
I just found out that Dr. Newson was under attack from the BBC, amongst others... Just wanted to say how horrified I was, and how much I love her work and podcasts. Love and support from another country that shall not be named. ❤❤❤ May this awful witch-hunt event turn out in a blessing in disguise. xx
Dear dr Newson, here in the Netherlands the menopause specialist say that prescribing Hrt to women over the age of 60 is pointless because the receptors for oestrogen in for example the bloodvessels are not functioning/dissapearing because of the lack of estrogen for all those years. Furthermore they state that over 60 the bio identical hormones are no longer a benefit but a risk for cardiovasculair disease. What is your opinion? I would love for my mother to get Hrt. She is seventy and hasnt slept for years.
She need Magnesium Glycinate at night with some melatonin. Then start her on some Progesterone transdermally or vaginally at night. You then introduce the Estradiol. Some women use Estriol and it works for them. I think Estradiol is superior especially in younger women. The fact she hasn't slept in years is due to her deficiency and bio chemical dysfunction since her body stopped producing the crucial hormones that run everything in my opinion. Her brain also shrunk... and her bodyclock(circadian rhythms)has become confused. She needs to get adequate sunlight in the morning and to be on VitD and ViKM7 daily. You don't come off it. I'd even recommend a good SAD lamp in the Wnter months in the morning. The years of no sleep could cause dementia down the road. Just be aware of this.
A therapeutic trial is worthwhile!!! Transdermal estrogen plus micronized progesterone to help her sleep... I am no doctor but a 54-year-old academic who suffered from so many menopause symptoms but mostly insomnia, brain fog and anxiety, frozen shoulder and severe joint pain... I have been studying the literature online plus many, many specialists' and doctors' podcasts and I can definitively say there is no study that proves what these Dutch doctors of your mum claim!!! They partly made that up, because some elderly women react slower to HRT and indeed a certain percentage of cells might become more unreactive. But medically it doesn't make sense that a woman beyond 60 should lose all receptors in all the approximately 300 types of cells she has in her body! Many doctors are just scared and extremely uninformed when it comes to modern HRT!!! They are stuck in science that is 22 years old and very very flawed and even misogynistic (WHI 2002 Study).... Here are more links to help you with your decision making process:
My sleep improved dramatically when testosterone gel was introduced after I'd taken the oestrogel for 4mths plus a lot of other benefits at now 66. I worry the nhs Dr will take me off of it though thru a little spotting every mth and the blood test i had they said testtlevel was a little high on that first test! Only started at 65 after 2years of battling for it.
Please speak about Hrt and respiratory function? I get severe coughing fits, throat tickles and watery eyes after taking transdermal estradiol and/or testosterone gel even in tiny doses. Would love to still benefit from the advantages you propose...

Great info as usual. I'm currently with your clinic. Reminds me I need to book a review and discuss my testosterone results.
Thank you for all of your work! Can you please do a video in histamine intolerance and HRT?
Thank you as always 💓
A very good and clear video again❤❤Thanks so very much!😊
Dr Newson, are the plant-based supplements branded as bio identical (isoflavones, yam, etc) actually effective as HRT?
Thank you for sharing this video ♥️🌹

Love your videos xx
Not all contraceptives are based on synthetic hormones. I take Zoely which contains a bio identical estrogen.
still made in a lab
@@jennifermoffitt4635 every product discussed in this video is made in a lab
Injections are nest for E & T. Even if you don’t prescribe it you should mention it.
Can you overdose on estrogen if your levels are high post menopause?
