What a great day on the water. Loved the running shots of the 32+2. Very sad that the founder of Albin let the tooling for the 32+2 and several other good Albin models be destroyed when he sold the Albin factory in Portsmouth RI to a developer. Yes that CAT diesel is much more noisy than the Yanmar I had in my newer edition of the 32+2. Good engine though. Looking forward to video of the next passage from Atlantic City to NY -- it can be a rough trip and there are only a couple of decent inlets to duck into if the weather deteriorates.
Hope your boat is ok in the hurricane. Get back to FLA soon and give an update. Bet you never thought this would happen in a thousand years. You're truly having an adventure.
Gus, just checking in to see if you still have Quest in the Port Charlotte area? Hurricane Ian hit there very hard. Hoping your boat is still standing and not floating. Let us know how things are. Maybe post a special video update.
Last time I pulled into Atlantic City, we couldn't see the channel markers that were 50 feet away. We could hear the party barges moving up and down the inlet, but we could barely see them. Even with all of their lights on.
I love watching your adventures! You are a great inspiration to the younger crowd 👍 I have been watching the events in Florida😢 I know the Quest is on the hard, is it safe?
Good place to stop for fuel as you come around Sandy hook NJ IS Atlantic highlands . Not many places as you head up the lower Hudson . Good mooring in Greatkills Harbor Staten Island.
Thanks for the tips on Chinco inlet. I wrote that off too reading the Navionics comments. Did you post an update? That harbor is missing out on a lot of business!
Would like to see a video of you changing the water pump. Can not believe you started that long of a trip off shore with a pump that is getting ready to go bad. Did you have a spare onboard?
She surely sustained some damage. It didn't fall off of the stands but from the 1 picture that I saw, it looks like a sailboat fell on it... I have not heard from the boat yard yet, but I am sure they have their hands full! I should know more this week.
Hey Gus , I have a question . You said you were doing 11 knots , what was the approximate RPM’s on that speed ? It also looked like that speed was effortless for that boat !
Gus what kind of MPG are you getting with the boat? Really nice you spending time with dad....I bet he is very proud of you being such a great skipper!!!!
I’m not sure I understand how the Garmin and Navionocs map could be so wrong 🤔…one would hope/think that all it would take is one message to their appropriate support teams and they could easily go into there GPS records to easily track previous boats routes to use as a guide to “modify” their depth or markers in their charts…it appears to be a commonly traveled channel that you are taking?
I just came back through this same area with Navionics latest update and It was very accurate this time. Areas like this have shoals that change often.
if ya text when your about an hour from lock 20 in marcy NY plz send a message ill meet ya and have a NYS innovation coin for ya it honors the erie canal PEACE
Love Atlantic city
The Hudson River and Erie Canal are going to be the best part of the trip.
Hell of an adventure Epic bar hop bro .
Gus’s more videos per week please 🎉 just anything on the water 💦 is good !
Thanks for the new video gus, I just wish they were much longer than 10 minutes..😎

This is awesome a great thing for you and your dad to do together
You had some extraordinary conditions - open ocean flat like a lake! Looking forward to more as you move on to the north.
Hope your boat is ok in the hurricane. Get back to FLA soon and give an update. Bet you never thought this would happen in a thousand years. You're truly having an adventure.
Days like that were great for swim calls when I was in the Coast Guard. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Love this content, hope your boat is standing tall against Ian!
Wow! That was another great day cruising the Atlantic Ocean.
Remember to sing those songs they sang back hundreds of years ago when pulling the barges along the Canals. (15 days on the Erie Canal )
awesome stuff gus, thanks

Gus! You make it look to easy!! Where are the storms and hanging on for dear life? lol You need to buy a sailboat and only go 5 knots! lol

Make sure you try to spend some time at Sylvan Beach on your way thru Syracuse. And if ya need something at that time I might be able to help
Aw come on man! You changed "ordoo" to "ado". I look forward to that every week, lol! But seriously. Great video as always
hears hoping your boat is safe in Fort Meyers !!
Did your boat survive Ian?
Way to read the water, Gus!
Always alert. 😉
Old guy approved. ⚓️🛥👍
Make sure your overall water line to top of biat is no more than about 14.9 feet other wise you cant clear all the bridges on the erie canel
Hoping your boat made it.
What do you think of the boat? I really like the layout. Thinking it would make a great couples loop boat
Would like to see a video of you changing the water pump. Can not believe you started that long of a trip off shore with a pump that is getting ready to go bad. Did you have a spare onboard?
No big thing, the shaft seal needs to blowout before the pump cant work. Easy to rebuild also.
Change the pump!!!!!
Gus, is your boat OK?

Damn, don't see many Gus's.
Gus, any word on how your boat made it through the hurricane? hopefully you was south of the eye wall landfall...
You can call BoatUS for local knowledge report.
Hey Gus , I have a question . You said you were doing 11 knots , what was the approximate RPM’s on that speed ? It also looked like that speed was effortless for that boat !
Is your boat ok in florida ??
11 knots!? That boat looked like it was on plane, no way that was 11 knots....but great videos, I'm jealous.
Gus what kind of MPG are you getting with the boat? Really nice you spending time with dad....I bet he is very proud of you being such a great skipper!!!!
You are on the way back to where this voyage began? May I ask why?🇨🇦
It's a boat delivery.
Dude hope your boat isn't still on the west coast
Gus where did you disappear to?
Hey Tony, Getting back into the videos now, it has been a busy last few weeks! Thank you for checking in.😀
