Great episode and insight! I totally understood what Dave was saying about doing what you want to do & love to do regardless of what the pay off is. It all depends on what drives you. Not everyone cares about notoriety, fame and fortune. Most people want to live a comfortable life doing something they love to do and that’s ok too.
I agree with her, you can’t sit there chilling in tshirt David and expect high paid speaking gigs, just as women cant sit online looking dusty and expect mollion dollar clients, we gotta look rich, look successful, make content showing our luxurious lifestyle and then get treated the way we present our perceived high level of value. So I agree with her, put on some swaggy suits, go speak, tape it, be on the move, be in a plane going places and watch how you get flewed out to high paid gigs 😅🛫💰 Otherwise you just look stuck on the coach and just doing the podcast because you’re obligated too, rather than living life and showing us your success. And dress up now and then… Grew up in the caribbean normal lower middleclass income and watched my mother dress so chicly for work and with class, now america got so many successful millionaires but everyone look like bums in hoodies and tshirts as if they have nothing. I agree and disagree with skittles. I agree with being able to put your business on autopilot so that you don’t need to physically be there in order for it to succeed. The other part though…. David said he’s kinda complacent and is okay if he doesn’t make more money. Society teaches us to ALWAYS want more. Example: You made 10 million? Now go make 20 million! You made 20 million, now go make 50 million!! Strive for more! When will enough be enough? I think it’s great to be at a place where you’re no longer chasing money. You’re HAPPY with the fruits of your labor paying off; and you wanna create memories and experiences in life that bring you ULTIMATE joy. To inspire and feel good. That’s the ultimate goal. I wonder if there is fear of going back to $0, that makes people stay in grind mode. Where is peace mode? Where is enjoy mode? 🤔 just a thought.
I hope u asked her about her past relationship with bsimone…we want to know what the hell happened when she managed her and they made that manifestation book for her that was someone else’s material. We never heard or saw anything else of their relationship afterwards. I would love to hear or perspective on what happened.

Thanks for the perspective, It has nothing to do with money, it has more to do with IMPACT. Impacting the legacy that he will leave as a person. Most people do not think about their long term goals and exit strategy. My goal was just to get him to think a little bigger around his end goal. However when you experienced being extremely poor it isn't something you want your kids to experience.
Depends on who you're trying to impact and how the impact you're trying to make on others can actually impact you and your family. How many times did she bring up her daughter? She mentioned the toll her work takes on her husband and herself. She wants to move towards working smarter, not harder because loving and pouring into the world is great but one you can't pour from an empty cup and two if you value family then after pouring into your own you're putting them immediately next. He's talking about helping people in general, she's talking about the people who do and should matter most to her and at the same time still making that impact on her clientele. So it's not about just making money. It's about making the money in such a way that it's not taking too much from her and hers. I don't see her as money driven. She knows what she wants for her life.

Yessss get David together😂 recording once a week but there all week. Stay home with your kids and help your wife, and stop using running down there “for work” as an excuse to duck at home work, what Dre is doing is not easy. If you had to work a job, you would wish you could habe been home more.
She right about that retainer mess. Years ago at my old job we had some deliveries come in messed up. It was a month long project for a big company wide meeting with the C levels in 2 hrs. My dude in that department came running like hey the VP is freaking out. I redid everything that was wrong from scratch with no source file and even had time to take some photos in about an hour and a half. Theb agency had a month to do it but were unreachable on a Friday. When I saw how much their retainer was I nearly pissed myself. They'd been paid for that work more than my annual salary at the time. 😭

This was an amazing interview Skittlez and Zoe are both so cool!! But I believe balance is also key. As much as leaving a legacy is important, We also consist of a community of resentful people. We resent our parents for not being present or supporting us in ways which is why a lot of adults are lost. There’s no amount of money that could take me away from being a present mom because I don’t have to answer to my grandkids but who I raise their father to be will affect them greatly. I personally believe that perspectives have a lot to do with what we experienced growing up which also dictates who we become ❤️
This is bomb perspective, I am so present in my daughter's life. Being a successful black woman doesn't make you not present. We have to choose how we commit our time between our work and children. My mom was present and still was not "Present". Everyone has to choose the path thats best for their families. I grew up SUPER BROKE, like thoughts for dinner broke and I never want my daughter to experience that.

I realized that it had a lot to do with asking questions because I’m inquisitive so I didn’t want to spend a ton of time providing financially because I thought that’s what he needed instead of give him what he actually needed from me which was time (not saying that’s what you’re doing at all).
