Did WOLFENSTEIN 2: THE NEW COLOSSUS have political messaging? - Video Game Lit Review

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus caused quite a few angry internet rants about politics when it came out seven years ago. But it wasn't just angry internet people ranting about Wolfenstein, academic scholars also disagreed about whether Wolfenstein 2 was political or not. So in this video, I'm going to look back at the scholarly debate and see if we can determine once and for all just how political The- New Colossus was.
I'm a historian at McGill University, and this is a video series where I try to take academic research about video games that is hidden behind paywalls and complex jargon and translate it into short, accessible videos based around scholarly debates.
