    The Alt-select way is a good way to grab a window capture and slim it down quick, but I also found recently that another easy way to do it is with an image mask filter thrown on top of the Window Capture. All you need is a good black and white "cutout" picture of what you want to grab from Zoom. Lets you quickly do things like rounded edges, blends, etc without a huge amount of work.

    Just one caveat. You can't have anyone join the zoom call after you have set this up because those windows you've created wont know if zoom rearranges things. So if you are expecting three participants to the call, you better wait until they are all connected before you do this. Also, if one drops out momentarily zoom will again re-arrange itself. Knowing how often this happens with zoom, you might want to pre-build a few scenes that shows the zoom screen in various configurations.

    • @AJaytheCEO
      @AJaytheCEO  4 роки тому +3

      That's exactly correct. I have a scene for every amount of attendants passivity so if someone drops we just switch to that new scene

      @@KabiesiTV Thanks. Presently I am the host of the ZOOM service. I highlighted the ZOOM speaker on my laptop which is also running OBS at the same time. Then I add capture display in OBS to capture the highlighted speaker so that I can use that for facebook Live and project it to my secondary monitor. Then I use my ZOOM to share screen from my secondary monitor so that the ZOOM participants could view the church service at the same time with facebook live. The audio is perfect in Facebook live, BUT the audio for ZOOM participants is having dual audio. Reson being the highlighted speaker from ZOOM is also part of the ZOOM session that I am hosting. Is there a better way to remove one of the audio when I share the screen so that there is no lagging or dual audio from the participant? OR is there a better way to do what I want to achieve? Much appreciated for your respond. THanks.

    1. To do the cropping part zoom meeting should be on and running
    2. What if any of the participant leaves or gets disconnected what will happen to that cropped area
    3. Same way if we want area for screen sharing to be cropped and displayed and during that time other participant starts the screen sharing how it will be taken care.

    • @AJaytheCEO

      1.) Yes, Zoom needs to be running. 2&3.) the crop will break if someone drops and you should make scenes for the amount of speakers you have to avoid issues.

    @Ajaytheceo haven't seen it mentioned here, but another way to do it might be to use the Larix Broadcaster app on iOS or Android, and then add a network Media Source in OBS that takes that camera in over the Internet via SRT protocol. More complicated than Skype/Zoom/NDI but you will get more control over the quality and not have to worry about the zoom screen layout getting rearranged.

    But what you all are overlooking is that THE PERSON RUNNING OBS should have HI-SPEED internet to both DOWNLOAD and UPLOAD the stream to UA-cam/Facebook or whatever channel you stream to. I was searching for a more CLOUD workflow. I just want my PASTOR to stream to a CENTRAL HUB and me also streaming the lyrics and verses to that same CENTRAL HUB, but in this setup, I only have to think about my UPLOAD speed, and PASTOR can stream SMOOTHLY, because in your setup there is ZERO REDUNDANCY, if my OBS messes up, or my connection drops, the PASTOR's stream will also go down with me. If someone has alternatives, please let me know.

    a little complex...but I do smell the sence somewhere, I have to try myself... next to learn, how to get the powerpoint played in church ready in a scene in OBS to insert that while streaming...

    @AJaytheCEO. Thanks for the video. Quick question. We are using mirror-less ( Sony A7iii) to live stream on facebook using obs and elgato camlink. I know that you mentioned webcam in this video, My question is: instead of webcam, will this technique work with a mirror less camera like the a7iii and elgato camlike? Right now 75 percent of our church members are logging on on zoom and my pastor and the other 25 percent are meeting in the church building. Right now what we are doing get the folks on zoom to hear the preaching is that we are logging into zoom on an ipad and facing the Ipad camera to the pastor. this technique that you are sharing with us in this video would really help me. Im the only tech in my church working all the program. Thanks

    Technically this is possible. The biggest issue is each zoom person in the OBS window has delayed audio. You need to have good graphics card otherwise, you will have out of sync audios.

    This is great for the ALT trick alone, how do you make sure the audio is captured correctly? Does this set up just do it on its own

    • @AJaytheCEO
      @AJaytheCEO  4 роки тому +1

      Make sure you are outputting sound to your desktop and set OBS to capture audio and then yes this will work. I might need to make another version of this to go over all the questions I've gotten about this setup.

    Thank you so much for posting this! I've been searching for how to do this all week, and you're the only video instruction I've found describing exactly how to do this so far. I am trying to put on a virtual bellydance, musician, and DJ collaboration show with artists broadcasting from their own locations, so this is so helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    Pls will your entire screen be showing live?
    Do you duplicate your screen or extend it?
    Can you do use obs for one screen only,not necessarily multiple live stream

      Extended

      I would recommend you look at m Ash Wednesday service. That was a service I did remotely connecting 8 churches together online via zoom and then streamed to their churches from a central page.
