These videos are so fantastic! I can't thank you enough. There are so many tutorials on UA-cam for using OBS and by and large I have found them to be really complicated. Your videos are straight forward and simple. Thank you so much!
The Alt-select way is a good way to grab a window capture and slim it down quick, but I also found recently that another easy way to do it is with an image mask filter thrown on top of the Window Capture. All you need is a good black and white "cutout" picture of what you want to grab from Zoom. Lets you quickly do things like rounded edges, blends, etc without a huge amount of work.
Just one caveat. You can't have anyone join the zoom call after you have set this up because those windows you've created wont know if zoom rearranges things. So if you are expecting three participants to the call, you better wait until they are all connected before you do this. Also, if one drops out momentarily zoom will again re-arrange itself. Knowing how often this happens with zoom, you might want to pre-build a few scenes that shows the zoom screen in various configurations.

This is great for the ALT trick alone, how do you make sure the audio is captured correctly? Does this set up just do it on its own
Make sure you are outputting sound to your desktop and set OBS to capture audio and then yes this will work. I might need to make another version of this to go over all the questions I've gotten about this setup.
@@AJaytheCEO Thanks so much, that was helpful. Thanks for making these videos I can not tell you how helpful they have been as we are navigating this all
Thank you so much for posting this! I've been searching for how to do this all week, and you're the only video instruction I've found describing exactly how to do this so far. I am trying to put on a virtual bellydance, musician, and DJ collaboration show with artists broadcasting from their own locations, so this is so helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Glad it helps
Thanks for the tips. But I keep on getting audio interference between the Zoom and Obs. Any ideas to why?
Pls will your entire screen be showing live?
Do you duplicate your screen or extend it?
Can you do use obs for one screen only, not necessarily multiple live stream
It will only show the entire screen if you choose to.
Extended
Yes you can but it will be difficult to not see your screen
Really useful video - thank you!
Thank you so much
Hey AJ good morning and I appreciate this video because we are pretty big church we have one almost in every state and our home General base is as Indianapolis Indiana and the chief staff board is trying to figure out how can all of our churches come together by a zoom OBS or however and hold our general assembly if things change this year because we didn't have one last year so saying all of that I'm asking you if this video right here did I commenting on can you cuz it was kind of quick fast cuz I'm kind of illiterate some but not to OBS cuz I've never really died into it and step by step show me or show us the viewers again how to do it with OBS and zoom mind you I'm also about to purchase the your live box and I'm about to purchase a mini AtemPro
I would recommend you look at m Ash Wednesday service. That was a service I did remotely connecting 8 churches together online via zoom and then streamed to their churches from a central page.
