To prevent this: the best oil syntetic, the better gas w/no ethanol, max. 10.000km w/oil, a little warm engine before go, no formule F1 for engine, never ever to hear knoking on the engine, the stuff to clean gas, etc.
Finally pulled the engine last night, and the oil with only 250 miles was dark and the oil pan looked dirty, like when you drive a long time and don't change the oil, like this grayish film, I took off the oil pan and right now a bolt on the timing cover won't come off, but it will, then I can pull the heads after I line all the marks up on this DOHC....the rod closest to the flywheel, you can wiggle it with the oil pan removed...I think it failed and the oil is grey/black due to bearing breaking down...IDK... and IDK why it failed
ej205, the 5 means WRX which means Impreza WRX...one of these websites said 5 means WRX or Forester. But it's been my experience the Forester are the EJ25 (EJ253 ?), the 2.5L, and not 2.0. Later WRX did go to 2.5 and that's one of the ways they got to 315 Hp.
@@DanTheManIOM the Forester GT (turbo version) has the same motor as the Impreza WRX, EJ205. It's the later model that has the 2.5 L displacement. Although you're technically right, the naturally aspirated Foz has the EJ253 motor.
Nice Mechanic diagnosis hack🔧

to prevent this, don't starve your engine of oil.
