Firing order is 1 3 4 2 one is at the bottom three is on the left side pointing towards the radiator four is on the top and 2 points towards the cab on the right. Set the motor to tdc and set the rotor at one
...the mikuni carb has 5 bolts, 4 around the twin barrels, easy to identify, the 5th somewhere, the manual doesn't say nor shows whereabouts ... where is it, anybody knows or has a picture ? G54B engine 2.6L AT Mikuni 32-35DIDTA carb
I own one, got it with a lot of miles.....seems to be smooth still, have all the records from previous owners (2)...my question is this, how many miles can I put on this truck before rebuilding the engine??
Depending on how well it has been maintained, you can feasibly get a couple hundred thousand miles before needing a rebuild. If it runs smooth, i'd just keep on keeping on with it. When the time comes however, a rebuild on this engine is pretty simple as far as they go and you may enjoy doing it yourself.
Hey I'm fixing my mighty Max but I don't know were to start other than it turns over and runs but makes a taping noise and I'm leaking coolant form somewhere
My suggestion would be clean everything really well, then spin it over and see where the coolant is coming from. If you can determine if the tapping is coming from the top or bottom end of the engine, that'll help you narrow down what's going on there.

you can see the tube under the motor on the driver side its like a 1/4" breather tube
I didn't even notice when you forgot the intake manifold gasket lol.
i have oil leaking out of a tube on the driver side of the motor do you have any idea what that is going to?
on the 2.6L, must the carburetor be removed to replace the fuel pump ?
So was is timing that made it run rough in the end?
