Sypha's power level keeps getting more insane every season. She might as well reach the Avatar state by the end of the series.
Jajajaja
I hope so. I would be so cool
Hahaha, that will be her finale!! Haha
I mean , everything changed when the Dark Nation invaded.
Not really? Season one she made huge ass fire circle and ice walls as tall as the city's itself.
Whoever animated this scene needs a raise...IMMEDIATELY.
Facts
@Stinkmeaner in 2d animation you have people to animate each individual character, people for the effects, layout artists, background designers, ect
Actually this was storyboarded by the creator himself! He said it was a LOT of work (but definitely worth it!)
Every animator needs a raise
It isn't anywhere close to top level Japanese stuff but still fantastic. Ufotable's tax evasion combined with the Japanese special overworking ability is too strong.
The way Sypha fights to me reads like what if the Avatar fought to kill.
kap1618 what about Trevor?
@@aaronjohnson1286 Trevor's cool to but I have a massive bias for mages and how they use their magic.
So basically every Avatar but Aang.
@@fissilewhistle Nah. Basically Kyoshi but with less earth and more waterbending. Several Avatars have been shown to hesitate to perform violence. Roku is an example.
@@snakeusa7885
Roku hesitated solely because Sozin was his former best friend. He told Aang that he probably made a mistake by sparing his friend because it came at the cost of the world, leading to war
Trevor: "Sypha, do you have my back?"
Sypha: "Always"
Me: *crying at how much I love that*
me too man, me too
Love those two
It carried with it the entirety of the drama between them throughout the season. Love those small moments that carry a lot.
Even back in the Belmont hold before getting attacked.
Trevor: I'll protect you as long as I can.
Sypha: I know.
That was another small moment that got me.
And then they immediately jumped away from their backs
I really love how they animated slypha magic precisely on how to use element manipulation is. The way she uses magic is unlike any other magic user ever in any anime or show I’ve watched. The way she utilized her magic is phenomenal and how logically how you’ll use them . I really love it
Fuzz Buzz
Exactly. It’s acts more like how you would use a muscle. You don’t say magic words or anything. You just act.
I believe this type of writing is called a soft magic system.
Courage Wilkerson exactly right😍
Her abbilities are kind of similar to the Bending arts from Nickelodeon's Avatar.
@@couragew6260 Maybe, I'm still new to the terms but given soft magic seem to not follow certain rules to much Idk if its usable here? It's still pretty close though since magic is barely defined in castlevania unless used with alchemy or devilforging though! So the series does go into both Soft and Hard styles to me.
Like how people in the last air bender could use their abilities but don’t for the reason they don’t seem to have creativity and if they are then why not do it like this
I will never, EVER get sick of seeing Trevor use his whip(s). The way they’re animated is top notch and they clearly put a lot of care into making such a major part of Castlevania look right. I’m not even going to go into everything else they got right(there’s a LOT) but I’m really glad that the people behind this show care about it as much as we, the fans new and old, do.
1:49 is without a doubt one of my top favorite moments of Trevor’s whip skills hands down.
@@bronzeoliniisnotfunny7885 that part was badass asf
everytime Trevor uses his whip is soooo satisfying
Me too. I love how they have him using his body to direct the whip and gain momentum without losing speed. It's a surprisingly realistic way of using a chain whip.
Also, can we talk about how a whip that pretty much instakills enemies is the perfect weapon for someone of his profession?
The 2v1 at 1:49 is interesting because at first glance it looks like Trevor's fending off their attacks, when in fact he's the one going on the offensive and the two demons are having to parry his assault.
yeah that was literally my favorite part of the episode so when i was watching it again i was like "holly shit that defense with just a whi- WAIT, hes not on the defensive, HE IS ON THE FUCKING OFFENSIVE OH MY GOD"
Seriously that’s so dope. I wish more animators had the balls to have as much weapon/ fighting style variety in their characters and shows. That’s why castlevania is the perfect show to me, it made an I sure weapon such as a whip look more badass than any sword fight. This scene is probably my favorite in the whole show so far because it’s just so badass and unique.
Well, with a whip attack and defense flow together since your whole goal is keeping the adversary out of their comfortable striking range but within yours.
Znapaznarf I honestly had to go back and rewatch that moment during the episode. Absolutely dope.
Znapaznarf I honestly had to go back and rewatch that moment during the episode. Absolutely dope.
I love how we’re able to see Sypha improve with every battle, she gets more and more powerful and smart with how she fights. The first time we see her she’s your average mage type, still pretty impressive but nothing too flashy. Now she’s literally clowning on these demons, skating on ice like an olympic figure skater and is able to use 4 elements - which, if I remember right, Speaker magicians can rarely surpass 2 elements. I’ve watched a lot of shows, but none have done a strong female protagonist as good as Sypha, she’s absolutely fantastic.
It's really good to see them do her justice. She's one of the very earliest female action/adventure player characters in all of videogames, a mere 3 years after Samus. Pretty much every 'female magic user heroine' who came afterwards is in some sense influenced by Sypha Belnades.
wait four? ice, fire, electricity right? whats the fourth?
@@dyppityjoop5912 she also uses wind magic, but mostly for mobility before she started using fire for mobility, like in the catacombs at her introduction. She also uses it to push back that fire death ball Dracula uses during that 3v1 fight.
@@demonzabrak
Wind was just a byproduct of her ice magic. Sypha's always been bound to three elements
@@mikhailthegreatestdragon3627 That honestly raises far more questions than it settled. A byproduct of fire and ice magic being cast together would make sense, but ice magic alone seems weird. Where is your claim from if you don't mind? Is it possible there is a version difference at play, like the game-Sypha only had 3 elements?
This is the worst case scenario in a D&D campaign.
The entire village harvested, the Boss has become 2x more powerful because of the villagers souls, the portal to Hell has been opened, and hoards of demons are pooring in, and the wizard can't roll above a six on his Arcana checks to control the portal.
The only upside is that Sypha and Trevor kept rolling natural 20s against the demons. That's honestly how i viewed the last few episodes.
Edit: also, pretty sure they used Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Cryonicis(?) Sound effect for one of Sypha's attack. It was bugging the living hell out of me on WHERE I'VE HEARD THAT NOISE, before i remembered. XD
Hahahaha I can see that happening
"...And the wizard can't roll above a 6 on his arcana checks..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I miss the fun and fuckery of the good old D&D days...
Holy shit, you're right, that IS the sound effect from BoTW. It's used as the sound for ice breaking.
This part somehow reminding Diablo lore lol
Ice rune sound time stamp?
Can we admit that these two are one of the top power couples in anime?! Call it what you want I consider it a anime:)
Just look at their descendants.
@Stinkmeaner Better than most of actual anime that this series's writers know how to write a story while many anime focus women's breasts than a story.
@Stinkmeaner it's because these days people are used to associating serious (ish) animated (especially hand drawn) with anime rather than western style. Honestly. Look at this and say "It's a cartoon!" Feels a little... Off huh. Personally i for one applaud a show that reminds us all that western animation still has some top notch series out there.
There is one that rivals them? xD Hard to imagine.
@@reijishian2593 who?
2:39 THAT. That maneuver is just.
Straight out of CoD, I jumped when I saw it too, haha.
Just saw it epic..
The whirlling get rekt demon bitch move of death
This show is just incredible. Sypha started out standing her ground and blocking attacks in fights. Now our most precious wizard is propulsing herself around with fire jets, ice skating, and shooting LIGHTNING. Trevor with the 2 whips was pretty amazing too. He is so agile despite being such a brute fighter.
From spell caster to Combat Mage
Sypha used krillins move and actually hit some targets with it.
(Krillin owned count) 1000
Didn't get the demon she wanted to though...... xD
never knew being an okatu get give a arsenal of abilities to wreak shit
Bruhh I said "destructo disc (kienzan)" when she did it!
Gonna need a senzu for that one. 😆
Came here immediately after binge watching and completing season 3
Same. Just finished watching it
Me too X3

Yup
Glad I'm not alone. 😄
The last two episode was too fucking great. Its sad that we have to wait at least one year for another season.

Hash chery personally I find it hypocritical on people going on about “woke” culture and sjw thing
Because on this point I feel they becoming the thing they hate
Overbearing and obnoxious about things like we hate sjw for their oversensitive and “I know better than you” attitude

¡IT'S OVER 9000!
I was thinking the same xD
LMAO
She actually hit someone with it too!
All I can think since watching Nocturne is, "Jesus Christ, Trevor is unbelievable." The man had no magic, just skills. Goated fighter.
Sypha is MVP with her elemental powers. Her other special power is sass
Rayray What about Trevor?
She’s so funny I’d lover her even if she wasn’t the Avatar.
Whoever storyboarded this deserves an oscar, and the animators all deserve a year's vacation.
they do🤗
Not gonna lie. I loved this fight to death but I came here again specifically to listen to the music. But as usual, these fights don’t disappoint
Courage Wilkerson what’s the OST name for this?
Yap Kai Yang
I don’t know. It’s why I came to this video because I can’t seem to find the ost
It's an original by the series composer. And from what I've found, they still haven't released the ost for season 2 yet, so it might be a while...
@Aung Un'Rama Exactly. I'm saying that the ost is out for season 1, but not season 2. If season 2 hasn't been released, it may be a while before season 3 is.
This theme Is FUCKING AWESOME i need them to release ost NOW
Watch and learn animators. That is how you do fight scenes. Music, choreography, no pointless talking. The Best.
ugh dont remind me ... some anime shows spend 4 seasons on one fight scene
I think that's on directors, not the animators
@@prismaticbeetle3194 that mostly a battle shonen problem

@Ahmad Adnan sadly we get fight episodes in Naruto that are 10 episodes long, like the puppet fights
Fun fact : The winged Demons with Eyes all over are fallen Angels
They indeed look like Seraphims!
In fact they are arrived from a door that leads to the hell
Came here after fangirling all the night. This season is awesome.
Sypha and Trevor are so bloody unbelievable!!
0:05 Can we just appreciate how creative and unique the monster designs are for this season? The highlight being, of course, the three-eyed goat centaur thing that pops bone arrows out of his own palm.
Their all from the games
It's a Buer, but yea all the monsters in this scene are from the games.
1:49 This scene is so sweet. I love how the sound it makes as his chains swiftly hit and juggle between both the monster....its so slick.
The-Lord-Dsquare who the animator ?
I like how the bow demon seemed the most simple, no magical elements or chaotic attack movements, yet also the most dangerous besides the big one.
Also way more creepy
Dude honestly, does Sypha ever need any help? Lmao
Yes
I was just thinking this! She’s never a damsel in any of the episodes. She’s an ass-kicking genius.
Well she had to get saved by the Cyclops in season 1. And if you want to be really nitpicky she got saved a couple of time in the Dracula fight. But that was not everyone helping eachother not getting killed :D.
@@TheHammer260 That's true. What I really mean is that Sypha cleans house like it's nobody's business. I don't know her onscreen kill count but I feel like hers is the highest of the main 3 haha
@@christopherherr7561 she probably also I s the most efficient of the three killing 3? Demons with one spell. Total badass!
Honestly the last episode was lit
Quite literally lit
Castlevania season 3 is a masterpiece
Even when facing the hordes of Hell, only the two of them, and Alucard is nowhere to be found...Grant Danasty STILL doesn't get a call.
I believe that Alucard was having a threesome at the time
You again? your everywhere 😂😂😂
@@graymage2511
But then he got betrayed he needs a hug.
RIGHT??? Like where the fuck is he at???
@Aung Un'Rama i heard that the creator does not really like him at all. but who knows?
Sypha is literally the goat in this season, her magic is just too clean and fluid with every spell. The improve of her magic was just so over the top, I can only imagine how this woulda went if Alucard was with them.
If Alucard was with them the fight would've been over in seconds.
Sypha is a textbook example of a well made “strong female character”
She’s incredibly powerful but is also likable
She has her flaws like the other guys but they all fill each other’s weaknesses
She is soo freaking awesome and badass
Plus she’s never the damsel in distress
Exactly! She's one of the strongest on the team. Love her character. Every strong woman doesn't have gay neither. Lol
These demons are far more terrifying than the monsters from last season.
Yea it's really cool to see as the show keeps going, the monsters get stronger. Like how this big fight was mostly more of the late-game monsters like the malachite, lesser demon and inferno demon.
Few of them are like Lovecraft’s monsters.
In game terms, these monsters be in the reverse castle in symphony of the night
@@raisingwings2913 Just the Malachi, flame Demon, and lesser demon are from SoTN. The Buer, Cagnazzo, Lubicant, and gateway demon (forgot its name) are from other games.
@@ryonintaka7439 yes, the rest are from other games but they qualify as end game enemies
You know? i really like that there's a nice mix between the more "grounded" enemies from early castlevanias (such as the lesser demon/leviathan), the slightly more "bizarre" ones from later games (malachi and the SotN Flame Demon), and THEN the outright "eldritch" (the regenerating one made with "souls of recently dead)
Exactly, I love when the show includes original castlevania monsters.
Slogra and Gaibon in Season 2 is one thing, but faithfully adapting Malachi and the Flame Demon proved to me that the guys in charge of the action sequences really care about the games.
(Sure, Buer isn't the spinning lion head/spider he was in the games, but I'll gladly take the more source material-accurate interpretation over a game-accurate adaptation.)
Me: There is no such thing as perfect couple
Trevor: Hold my Whips
Sypha: Hold my magic
❤
Very Late but...
*[Cough]* _Steve and Alex_ *(Minecraft)* *[Cough]*
This scene alone makes you understand how important is to choose the right soundtrack, that music gave us a sense of absolute dread and horror during the fight.
Absolute masterpiece.
One thing that makes Castlevania superior: The fights never get voring because the heroes are getting injured regularly and are shown to be vulnerable, and they use their powers in a creative and adaptive way instead of doing the dame thing over and over again.
Trevor: kills monsters to avoid conflicts and gets paid to buy beer.
Sypha: kills monsters. “It’s so much fun”, she said.
The Ost is really good. i hope they release it someday
Yea I especially liked the music when hector and lenore where having sex the music was awesome
@@dream8870 dont forget Alucard, Taka, and Sumi...
@@Pastartes047
I think the point of that scene was to show us how desperately Alucard needed love. I don't care about the threesome, it was a way of showing us how Alucard needed people in his life who care for him, in the end he is betrayed and forced to kill them, slowly becoming like his father...
The music 'Ravus Aeterna (FFXV)' reminds me of this background music.
This scene is so powerful knowing that trevor doesnt need to worry bout sypha she can hold her own and be a badass
Perfect direction, animation, effects, everything.
10/10
This is animation eye candy! It is absolutely beautiful. Sylvia and Trevor are one of my favorite couples. They really complement one another and have this sense of trust and independence that I really like. I would really like seeing a Sylvia vs Korra death battle. Love them both!
Who the fook is Sylvia?
@@korpakukac I think I wrote Sypha and it was changed xD
One of the best fights ever animated. The style and choreography is beautiful.
mages usually look super weak, but Sypha makes mages look absolutely brutal with how creative they can make their spells
I like how they balanced the fight with not giving either character too much glory and giving the main character the final blow. They each killed 5 + trevor beating the boss. Trevor's 5 were more fodder and Sypha's more unique and challenging.
I like the gradual threat escalation: by now it is pretty clear that the night creatures shown before just aren't match for the heroes (with Trevor killing one with his bare hands no less), but these guys actually put up a fight. Sure, Trevor and Sypha were individually more skilled and powerful, but the demons actually surprised them time or two and inflicted injuries. It is nice to see heroes showing signs of having to work for it.
And this? This was just Isaac's backup plan.
..bill nighy as saint germain is perfection...
Jason Isaac's as the judge was really good as well. I also like how their characters faces are slightly reminiscent of their own faces. It's a neat touch.
Bill Nigh is now in 2 productions involving vampires. I love him. ^_^
i was so happy to see him cast this season
The most badass couple scene ever. This scene gives me goosebumps and I can’t handle their synergy, the battle choreography, and timing of the music
1:00 - see, Krilin! Was that so hard?
The score in this scene is impeccable
Whoever is in coming up with the whip ideas in these action scenes is a goddamn ninja hero
The way trevor fights with the Morning Star seems to be somewhat based off of the real life "meteor hammer" or "rope dart" with a combination of actual whip action. Such a beautiful weapon, I highly encourage you to go watch some videos of them
I could watch sypha and Trevor fight for hours both of them are so mesmerizing that it's crazy. Trevors whips are almost like a dangerous second limb and combines with his loving star it's awesome and syphas usage of fire and ice would make other people of the same categories look like utter chumps. Can't wait for season 4 of this masterpiece
1:00 Sypha did more damage with one Destructo Disk than Krillian did in DBZ and Super
That big monster was basically a boss even Trevor had to knock his hp down with how many times he had to whip him 😅
0:53 that was so fucking badass, she’s the only mage ive seen in anime that fights like this
I've watched this scene countless times and i always tear up from the sheer epicness of everything in it.
1:48 to 1:53 ish is probably the coolest thing I've seen in this show so far. I never wouldve thought to animate that and the execution of it is fucking flawless.
Sypha really is unique, not in terms of powers but in combat. She knows how to use her magics effectively in close combat, something you don't see very often.
What I find extremely interesting is that a good amount of the demons (the ones with the sets of wings in particular) base a striking resemblance to the descriptions of angels from the Bible, yet the consecrated weapons still explode them. This fits with the idea of demons being fallen angels, who became unholy through their actions, but maintained their bodies. It also fits that none of the night creatures made by Isaac look like this, since they are all human souls that have been brought back
"Why won't you die?"
"Souls of the recently murdered, son. They harden in response to physical trauma."
The music makes this fight 100x more badass, so we are now at 100x infinity.
Trevor's fighting style is like next LvL SHIT.
the art how to use the whips ....daaammmmee
It can't be overstated how perfectly executed his fight scenes are, especially 1:49 to 1:57 .Trevor constantly spins his whip to maintain momentum while zoning the two demons in order to keep them in his effective range. When he gets the killing blow on one the momentum is lost, so he pulls the head of the whip in, gives it a quick spin and hucks it at the second demon. Flawless blend of grounded plausibility with over-the-top action.
i love how the demons have just the slightest angelic similitud sometimes but twisted to make unsettling monsters
Fallen Angel
I like the fact how the designs from the demons show us the difference between normal night creatures and them.
I have a theory that the large night beast where all the murdered souls went becomes the Behemoth in Dawn of Sorrow
But there is no Behemoth in Dawn of Sorrow. Only Gergoth.
Behemoth appeared in Rondo of Blood and Portrait of Ruin.
@Starscream91 Yup... That one fat bastard...
Aria's version is the scariest IMHO.
Loved how they worked in the ace throw
The designs for these demons, my god they’re amazing
Always thought Sypha had made the ice disk out of nothing but finally saw that she slaps her right hand on the ground ice before the Disk appears in her hand,
That Doom (imp) fire blast noise
seeing how powerful Sypha is make me wonder how she ended up being petrified by a lone cyclops in the first season
Naphat Chao i believe she was less experienced facing him. And the effect of surprise
her statue had a look of shock on it, so yes she was ambushed by the beam
1:45 This part is so satisfying to watch
Cant...stop..replaying
I love how when Trevor is caught in between the two demons he’s actually on the OFFENSIVE!! They are the ones having to parry/guard his attacks not the other way around
I'm still amazed on how sypha fights
this scene is damn amazing, i was in awe the whole time. i love how they were both fighting their own battles in here.
Netflix please just release the OST!!
I want to praise all the sound effects in this battle. It's so good! This fight is epic overall!
Thank you for uploading the full fight.
these fight scenes are so beautifully animated...
There's so many things I love about this series but my most favorite thing is probably how Sypha uses her magic. No longass chanting, not just elemental balls, and way more creative and effective ways in using these magic
"I'm Just a guy with a whip and a short sword I didn't ask for all this flying and magic"
-A Belmont probably
This show is a perfect example of how to have a strong female character who isn't annoying as heck. Sypha is super feminine, but just plain badass. Trevor holds his own very well and is very masculine. Isaac is a dope character. The LGBTQ scenes were tastefully done. If writers would write good characters for minorities no one would have any issue. We want good characters. The reason a lot of movies don't do well is cause the writing is garbage. Batwoman is an awesome character in the comics and no one cares that she's gay. The Batwoman show is trash and it has nothing to do sexual orientation.
It's a good example of making a good character without caring what's between there legs, also I found the two vampires in a relationship adorable even though I'm glad they didnt lay it on to thick I wish there was more of them, great chemistry
The way they portrayed the two lesbian vampires was perfect. Personally, I find it annoying when shows or movies feel the need to constantly remind you that a character is gay as if we forgot about it and that it's important to the story. What they did here was let you know that they're together and then focus on their characters, not their sexuality. Even showing really good character development when they were sitting up on the castle talking about normal things couples talk about, to discussing plans for policing the borders.
Those people just like to play gender hate cards when it's just them making shit characters that people dont like.
Hate to burst your bubble there, but everything involving sex with Alucard and the twins was horribly forced and rushed. Alucard was suffering from loneliness, sure, but that doesn't mean he suddenly became a naive trusting idiot. Tbh, they just handled Alucard very poorly this season, and any betrayal ensuing during or after a sex moment would never require more than one sex partner. The twins were a prime example of what poor LGBT writing looks like. As for Striga and Morana, I agree the show thankfully didn't focus on them being a couple or lesbian and focused on their characters and what they bring to the table. It's just really fucking weird that instead of just putting a dude in Striga's place, they tried really hard to make her look as much of a man as possible. I'm saying that's weird because she might as well have been one, but for whatever reason, writers just didn't want that.
I love how this comment was so true but also so critical of the random Batwoman series that no one watched. Kudos 😂😂😂
These fight animations are insane...
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the music here. It flows so well with the action.
I am seriously grateful that this series was produced. Excellent animation, Voice acting and the music. LAWD!

Yeah, it's really cool how Sypha uses fire spells to keep orbiting around the sphere until she slingshots herself towards the demon.
Sypha is absolutely incredible.
i love that you can see her thinking. like any mage...we know we aren't damage sponges...and the way you can see her see the environmental information and then know and enact its dominant opposite so quickly., with magic, it is really beautiful to watch...this....wow. i love this show!!!

The way they fight so smooth and clean. I'm Amazed!
They both keep getting better and better. Its nice to watch them progress throughout the seasons.
Trevor and Sypha, together! They're my favorites!
This moment was so epic I had to rewatch this scene after the episode ended
0:31 demon is like "did he just fxcking do tha- oh fxck!"
Sypha uses the power of centrifugal force to stop her from getting sucked by that mini black hole and gaining enough speed to propel herself away from the gravity well and facesplode that Cthulhu demon. That was sick
“Sypha, do you have my back?”
“Always”
God I need a woman like that in my life. Hell I’ll settle for someone like her in my life period

It feels like the Minotaur is doing all the work.
The fight cherography in this is INSANE. I love it no matter how many times I rewatch this series
The best thing about these fight scene is that you feel like your watching a video game speed run
