Hey man Hector might be a pet at least he might get to plow man.I honestly think Prescilla care but she is still a bit sinister. No one calls someone their pets and allows them to enter full of vampires that are disgusted by humans.
I love how everyone keeps saying that Trevor is one of the "weaker" Belmonts when he is canonically the first Belmont to actually kill Dracula. He doesn't do so on his own mind you but he also doesn't have the luxury of centuries of additional research on Dracula (specifically) to aid him nor does he have the magic of the Belnades line to enhance his abilities. Trevor is the definition of a man fighting monsters. Very little to no magic save for an enchanted whip, raw muscle and clever stratagem. Every Belmont after him has a variety of benefits and advantages that he did not.
To be fair, Trevor had help killing Dracula, and it only makes sense that each Belmont would train their children better as they learn more from hunting.
@@SpookGod He already said that. And he wasnt discrediting the future Belmonts just that they all had a lot of benefits that Trevor did not, yet despite that he still managed to achieve monumental feats through just his own skill, technique and strength

"I can't control the window to the corridor, but you can. *Show me what I want to see you fucking bastard!* " It was this moment for me that St Germain went from a interesting enigma to an actual badass in my mind. He's got some good lines in this episode, but this one's my favourite.
“Damn you! All this to bring back Vlad bloody Tepes ? All this death and horror for that leech?” St. Germain is one of the only characters who sounds like he could care less about Dracula himself
Dylan McKenzie "Yes all this, all the strength you have gathered for murdering a town and drinking its soul. I can't move the window in the crew But you can!! show me what I want to see you fucking bastard!"
I'd imagine it's cuz he's probably been around longer than Drac himself if not just as long. To everyone else Dracula was this ancient being of vast power and knowledge which painted their perception of him as this larger than life being meanwhile Saint Germain seems to know just as much if not more than Dracula so to him he's just not that impressive or awe inspiring.
John Hein Fast forward to the 21st century (if the Battle of 1999 doesn’t happen): He puts Dracula on hold mid monologue because he has to take a phone call.
An inscription by Leon Belmont, "To any maniac who would use the Vampire Killer and Morning Star in tandem. Stand still and hold your ground. If you cross the streams the both whips will explode and you will certainly die.
I like how St. Germain refers to Dracula as Vlad Tepes, despite the fact that he's essentially universally known as Dracula in Wallachia at that point. It really adds more to the mystique of St. Germain's character, and makes him seem like more of Dracula's contemporary than just another human who's heard of him.
@@realJoeMavro St Germain appeared in the ps2 game Castlevania curse of darkness and can be fought as a boss fight. The time traveller from judgment is based on St Germain and has his colour scheme as his alternate costume.
He is even stranger in the game ps2 game Castlevania curse of darkness where he is some kind of living anomaly with time powers. He has some mysterious goal and animosity with Death (the character not the condition). He's also incredibly powerful when challenged to a boss fight and drops an item described as somthing that "shouldn't exist".
In that scene I thought that Dracula was actually helping St. Germain. Seeing as they both want to be with the person they love...well Dracula but we don't know what Germain's case is.
What I love most about Trevor is he's a man with nothing but his wits, skills, a couple whips and whatever miscellaneous weapons he gets his hands on. @@Nick-wi3kd What I think he means: Trevor's training was likely supposed to be until adulthood, but his family was excommunicated, hunted, and killed by the Church and its loyalists around the time he was thirteen, so he had to run away and travel in order to survive. Everything he learned afterward, both in knowledge and training with weapons of all kinds, he learned on his own. And he was still boss enough to dual-wield two whips and survive, to kill Vlad Dracula Tepes, to even kill Death itself. Imagine what he could've accomplished if he finished his family's training.
He’s, likely, the weakest Belmont in lore by the time they started actually killing Dracula again and again with every offspring they produce. Mainly because by this point the belmonts don’t have the magical blood of cypher in them yet soooooo they only get stronger going forward
I'm just here to appreciate how Sypha even thought about using electricity. Reminder, she's living at a time where electricity is still refered to as the "Wrath of God upon the wicked" and no theoretical concept to artificially recreate electricity existed yet. Humans at that time didn't even know that electricity is a lethal combination with water. How she figured that out is beyond me.
@@FallenOne669 Yeah, at least in this version of the Castlevania universe, electricity is considered Lost Science, not Science Yet To Be Discovered. well, there is no electricity on that era but already know what lightning is, cames from storms, on the game she actually does that spell so there was no surprise that she can pull out this
I think that’s the point and impact of the scene. Both of them have gotten some amazing skills shown in this fight alone. Sypha using the fire to propel herself on the ice, slide under the Buer and throw that ice disc to cut them all down was probably her coolest scene this season and was animated beautifully. They both know they are capable, but that doesn't make them immune to worry. Earlier on during the fight in the church, we see that when Sypha is fighting in the air and Trevor's pinned against the wall helplessly watching. You SEE the worry in Trevor thinking "Fuck, I really should've just convinced her to put this crap behind us so we can settle somewhere quiet." I mean he says this at the end of the season. "We were living your life for a few months. Now we're living mine."
I don't care who defeated Dracula or who the strongest Belmont is. I just wanna appreciate the connection Trevor and Sypha have. Even when they're fighting so many night creatures and monsters, they're so in sync and always have each other's back. Castlevania nailed at showing the romantic relations in the show. Instead of cheesy words, we got to see them showing off their love and bond for each other.
Isaac kicking ass and taking names all season until he takes over the tower...His conversations with the captain the shopowner and the philosopher and how his perspective changes....Lenore's calculated manipulation of Hector and her mysterious motives... Germain's investigation of the priory and the Infinite Corridor...Alucard being betrayed while having a grief threesome. Best fights of any season and character development so good it makes me like even the characters I hate...and man when Trevor simultaneously whipped out the morning star and the vampire killer to the organ cue, what fucking scene!
biscuit boy Berserk has some serious scenes in the manga. The apostle Wyald is pretty bad. But if they do Berserk they way they did Castlevania sign me up.
The track changing over to the organ when he pulls out the second whip is just absolutely perfect. The end battle with Death was over the top and awesome but dual wielding the whips against the demon under the church might be the coolest moment in the whole series.
the details that trevol cannot move from his position due to how difficult it is to control the two whips, and that throughout the series it only did at this time because it would only work to kill really big and slow enemies is brutal.
Tbh, seeing that he gets to be with his wife for eternity, a rude awakening from his rest in Hell would piss him off regardless of who's waiting on the other side.
Love the way the show continually shows us how skilled and well-trained Trevor is. We caught a glimpse of it when he first fought Alucard, using the whip to time Alucard’s positioning, defending his back when he found out Alucard has super speed, and showcases Trevor’s ambidexterity. In Season 2, you see how he dispatches not only vampires but other creatures as well. Every time he fails a tactic, he resorts to another one almost immediately. And now, you see him absolutely wreck a monster with double the firepower. Genius!
If we had to pick one or the other for the sex scenes I’m going to stick with Hector’s, the twins and alucard (not being rude to lgbt) was so confusing and made me cringe hard
Its the first time we see it in the series, and she uses it a lot more in season 4, where its very powerful against the vampires in the final fights with the trio.
This season has some of the best fight animation Ive ever seen. Im a fan of anime, but so often theres too much dialogue in the middle of a fight. This right here is so good because theres just so much action without the need for dialogue to explain it. Any other studio would've had Sypha going, "the ice from my previous attack is melting under that demon. I can hit him with electricity to fry him", but instead they just SHOW it.
I agree. I always suspected that the anime tendency to do exposition in the middle of a fight is more of a time filler and cost cutting/labor saving method then anything else.
I just realized why Trevor didn’t dual wield more often: his mobility would have been greatly hampered. Using two whips simultaneously may have greatly increased his attack but he can hardly move, having to focus on both. Normally Trevor would have been able to dodge 1:20 attack easily, but not with two whips being in the way of, well, everywhere.
@@munessh2510 The leather whip is and always is the Vampire Killer, the original heirloom, which upgrades to the Morning Star in the games. Its a small inconsistency here, but it makes more sense for them to be separate weapons for the show...
The leather whip wouldn’t do the necessary damage against a vampire like Dracula. It only did minor damage to Alucard and he’s only half vampire. The Morning Star was the better choice of weapon. But the leather whip would do damage against a demon like that.
@@NRMRKL I would argue that he already know how to from his training as a child. I don't really think he had much time to practice when traveling around with Sypha and he's been shown to have extreme finesse with the whip as early as season 1.

Dracula would have gotten angrier from the start and murdered Trevor first with more ferocity. He’d do more damage, but he would be putting himself in more danger.
@@acgearsandarms1343 Nah one hit brought Dracula to his knees. Multiple hits would have rekt Dracula. The future Belmonts have all singlehandedly killed Dracula which shows how powerful the whip is
Shining Shadow That’s easier said than done. You saw how much trouble Trevor had landing that one hit. Dracula was not at full power either. He could have dodged most hits was he not pinned. And after that one hit, Dracula unleashed Dark Inferno that took all three of the party to stop. He said so himself that he is no ordinary vampire to be killed so easily. I don’t deny the power of the whip. I’m implying the amount of danger going all in with two whips. They will fight back harder and with more ferocity.
@@acgearsandarms1343 Trevor in s2 was out of practice and drunk most of the time. In S3 he has been fighting monsters non stop for two months now. Shining Shadow That’s still too much credit. I have no doubt they can beat Dracula with the whip, but the way you put it makes it sound easy. It is never easy like that. If going by the games, it took great effort and a cost to beat Dracula by those respective Belmonts.
St Germain calling Dracula 1:31 la "Vlad bloody Tepes" kills me. To the world, Dracula is great Prince of blood and darkness, but to SG, he's a tedious git he met at a diner party

What an epic season. The creepy priory cult, the Alucard storyline, Hector and the Vampire sisters, Issac building one hell of an army, Sypha, Trevor, etc... will definitely watch again.
Imagine it is just an attack w/ the Flame Whip. Trevor has no item crash skill he can use & the Flame Whip is the most powerful whip you can buy in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.
@@marche800 ok, clearly you misunderstand, I'm well aware what game Trevor appears in but it has nothing to do w/ my comment. Like I stated before, this is the direction the animator's used to bring out the Flame Whip, which is the Mourning's Star's final upgrade. btw...the Vampire Killer & the Mourning star is the same weapon. The MS is the VK's "chain" form.
Two things you might've not noticed. When trevor belmont pulled out the second whip it transitioned to the monsters point of view for a few seconds, showing who the new boss is. The 2nd point is that trevor couldnt dodge with dual whips so when the soul eater spit its last fireball, trevor used the whips to attack through the fire and to split the flame in half, saving trevor from being burnt into a crisp.
On the second point: something he tried to do with one whip earlier and failed, ending up wounded on the floor. So he saw that and took out the second whip
@1:15 I really like how Trevor moves/rotates...in here. Such detail shows that he is able to dual-wiel without hitting each whip together by doing these movements / rotations. And you could tell that he is able to see where each whip moves and landed a hit. The extreme amount of animation in this action sequence is just amazing! By slowing this down...you could see how delicate how and where each whip's hit lands (you could see where the Morning Star is going to hit, really. And you can hear its clinging sound!).

It's honestly hard for me to see Trevor losing to any vampire or any demon if he fought Alucard and Dracula himself. Even when he looked like he was losing before he pulled the second whip out,I still knew he wasn't gonna lose.
Dante I’ll be honest, it seemed a little op from how quick it was regenerating. Not to mention Trevor had only whips and not the other things aside from the axe.

@@vogita78 lol yeah. But let's be real,Dracula is still way more of a threat than the demon that Belmont killed. The big demon regenerated fast and was really huge but Trevor actually took some shots from it and still pressed forward. And you can see that it didn't regenerate after Trevor duel whipped it which I'm guessing that it's regeneration was slowing down. Or I could be totally wrong.
That straight up ruined the whole story for me. It's a good story choice and good writing and everything but episode 9 made me sick and I never went back.
Between hijacking the gateway demon and smacking Dragan in the face, I love how balls-out and intimidating this version of Saint Germain is once he gets sufficiently pissed off.
Sypha, Isaac and Alucard should start running back to the infernal pit from which they crawled from because now God's chosen bloodline has had enough the vile evil that these pathetic souls bring. All the Witchcraft, necromancy and Enchanted blood won't stop the Belmonts from killing them.
I just love how fluid Trevor’s Whip work is, it’s so satisfying. And as if he wasn’t beast enough with one whip but that shit was on another level when he pulled out that second.
I'm really happy to see comments that just say "whip". It really comes to show that the Castlevania community is not dying. I hope the new comers will see different Belmont's and other families such as the Morris, lecarde, aulin, and other family names. And I hope they like them.😁
@@CedricBassman That hasn't been confirmed yet. Hell I'll even admit my comment hasn't been confirmed yet either in the show as of right now. Hell, Lament of Innocence had a slight design change to the Whip of Alchemy when it became the Vampire Killer by adding that Morning Star Spike Ball that usually on the Whip in the other games.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how well-rounded the females were in Castlevania? From Lisa Tepes, Sypha, the Vampire Sisters, and more, we saw really smart, clever, and battle capable/strong women who could hold their own making them _assets_ to people close to them. They never cried and/or gave up in a battle and never expected a man to come in and save her ( _glances at Naruto, Bleach and more_ ). Outside of fighting, females were kind, empathetic, feminine, and willing to just _listen_ if it could help them grow as an individual _and_ help the entire team.
The man actually punched a werewolf night creature in the throat and kicked its shin in... dual whips are just overkill for this man.
To be fair, Trevor had help killing Dracula, and it only makes sense that each Belmont would train their children better as they learn more from hunting.

I wonder if there's a connection between him and that time traveler from Castlevania Judgement.
@@realJoeMavro St Germain appeared in the ps2 game Castlevania curse of darkness and can be fought as a boss fight. The time traveller from judgment is based on St Germain and has his colour scheme as his alternate costume.

Humans at that time didn't even know that electricity is a lethal combination with water. How she figured that out is beyond me.
Sypha likely spent some time in Dracula's Castle before she and Trevor left. At least enough time to gain an understanding of the Old Science.
@@FallenOne669 Yeah, at least in this version of the Castlevania universe, electricity is considered Lost Science, not Science Yet To Be Discovered. In Season 2, you see how he dispatches not only vampires but other creatures as well. Every time he fails a tactic, he resorts to another one almost immediately.
And now, you see him absolutely wreck a monster with double the firepower. Genius!
trevor, isaac, and sypha out here killing demons and wizards and shir while everyone else is fuckin'
As it should be lmfao
In some ways, they end better than who was having sex.
Well, Alucard got betrayed, the twins got decapitated, and Hector got enslaved, so the end result was probably better for them
Trevor & sophia already fucked and clear their mind before, so that is why they are so OP in the final episode
If we had to pick one or the other for the sex scenes I’m going to stick with Hector’s, the twins and alucard (not being rude to lgbt) was so confusing and made me cringe hard
Trevor & Sypha are a deadly duo. And when they combine with Alucard they are a badass Trinity.
What about Grant?
@@toledochristianmatthew9919 Poor grant

I only hope that trinity remains true and strong in the next seasons, especially after what Alucard went through this current Season 3.

The golden rule of good writing is "show, don't tell".
JOJO xd

@@TootsyBootsy Oop, I think you got that backwards. Whoops.

VAMPIRE KILLER AND MORNING STAR DUAL WIELD FTW!
Ain't morning Star a vampire killer in it's final form?
@@munessh2510 yes, this is morning star and another sacred whip
@@friedegg2402 ahh finally. I was confused at first
@@munessh2510 The leather whip is and always is the Vampire Killer, the original heirloom, which upgrades to the Morning Star in the games. Its a small inconsistency here, but it makes more sense for them to be separate weapons for the show...
@@ryonintaka7439 yea, when the whip of alchemy becomes the vampire killer
Gotta love how he didn't even bust out the second whip for Dracula but this one juiced up demon, yeah that's the one.
Tbf, Alucard was already taking care of him
The leather whip wouldn’t do the necessary damage against a vampire like Dracula. It only did minor damage to Alucard and he’s only half vampire. The Morning Star was the better choice of weapon. But the leather whip would do damage against a demon like that.
Well, he only found the other whip towards the end of season 2. It probably took him a while to master dual wielding them.
@@NRMRKL I would argue that he already know how to from his training as a child. I don't really think he had much time to practice when traveling around with Sypha and he's been shown to have extreme finesse with the whip as early as season 1.
@@marche800 could be, but we've only ever saw him carry (and use) his old whip before he found the Morning Star. Based only on what was shown to us in the series, I'd say my argument is still well founded.

Castlevania has set the bar, and then surpassed it every season
I love how they even nailed the smallest detail of how the 2 different whips crack the ground in different shapes. Thats some sick animation right there

"Belmont, kill it!"
"WHAT THE F*&K DO YOU THINK I'VE BEEN TRYING TO DO?!?"
Usually one hit from either whip destroys monsters immediately I can’t imagine how much damage he’d do if he wasn’t facing the soul monster
Also let's not forget that Trevor is one of the weakest Belmonts. Give that whip to Simon or Richter and Julius and they would make mincemeat out of Dracula

Nobody pointing out that Trevor is doing the Item Crash that you get if you have no sub weapon, The Flame Whip.
And he really didn't have them in this battle
Wow, you're right, nice one
Imagine it is just an attack w/ the Flame Whip. Trevor has no item crash skill he can use & the Flame Whip is the most powerful whip you can buy in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.
@@ShamBell Trevor isn't in Simon's quest either and the weapons he's using are clearly the vampire killer and the morning star.

One Kind After seeing everyone in on the good side team up and take on Dracula, I was convinced, then I saw this thing and the way it regenerated and was like “welp”, then I saw the second whip and was like “OH HELL YEAH”
@@vogita78 lol yeah. But let's be real,Dracula is still way more of a threat than the demon that Belmont killed. Dracula straight up just tackled Trevor and that was the only time Trevor looked in real trouble. The big demon regenerated fast and was really huge but Trevor actually took some shots from it and still pressed forward. And you can see that it didn't regenerate after Trevor duel whipped it which I'm guessing that it's regeneration was slowing down. Or I could be totally wrong.

@@CedricBassman That hasn't been confirmed yet. Hell I'll even admit my comment hasn't been confirmed yet either in the show as of right now.
But as it stands, the Vampire Killer in the games does start off as a Whip of Alchemy to eventually assuming the appearance of the Morning Star that's in the show.
