Gen 7 has some real gems, but way too many non-evolving Pokémon make it feel super shallow to me. I really hope generation 8 doesn't follow suit and instead the vast majority of the Pokémon have at least one evolution. It'd also be great if they bring back pre-evos and post-evos for old Pokémon. We haven't had them in so long and it really bridges the universe together.
I really want megas and region variants to comeback. Or just give all pokemon a slight colorization difference akin to chocobo breeding, pkmn stadium 1 naming effects colors and spinda's spots.

The localizers did SUCH a good job translating these names!! Almost every translation has the same parts as the Japanese names, and they made the English names sound so charming! They even improved on a few minor things, like changing the name Silvady to Silvally. That makes it easier to tell what words are in the name, and makes the pronunciation clearer.
Great job again ! I have been wondering, do you plan on doing that in other languages ? That could be fun and quite amazing on a lore perspective (as a French fan I could help you with that (or you could find another french speaker xD I mean, I just tink it would be cool to do other languages, I don't really want to intrude in your work). The localizers did SUCH a good job translating these names!! Almost every translation has the same parts as the Japanese names, and they made the English names sound so charming! They even improved on a few minor things, like changing the name Silvady to Silvally. That makes it easier to tell what words are in the name, and makes the pronunciation clearer.

You should do a series like this with the English names. I know there’s already a video with it all, but it’s so fast paced. It would be nice to have a series with this type of pacing. And then we can learn about the Alolan Pokémon names too

Japanese is so awesome! Thank you for giving all this information. Oh and if you want to make a German version of this video. I would offer myself to pronounce them as good as I can (even German Pokémon names are still confusing me sometimes and I'm native speaker)
