If you haven't yet Daddy full version. It is pretty sad but very interesting.
CLOWN! Album version instead of video
Got the life
Trying react daddy song! Most darker song Korn! It's first band who singing about its things 🎶😍❤️🖤💜💜🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 #KornForever #alwayskeepfighting
Check out daddy by korn bro but fair warning this song is really dark and deep
It's probably one of Korn's most intense music videos. Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit actually directed it.
Dude i had no idea, thats amazing!
Yeah, right? Fred did an amazing job with this video.
Only good thing Durst has done.
Not too surprised, say what you want about Fred durst but he is pretty good at directing music videos
@@area.man. prolly you shouldn’t be borned but anyways you are here…
That scene during the bridge with the kids riding on bikes to the girl's house always gives me goosebumps. I love this concept with the kids teaming up to help the girl.
Sometimes friends are all you got. Some of us are taught to keep our mouths shut because other adults talk to the parents which later beat us for it.
KoRn is originally from Bakersfield, California.
A lot of us here grew up listening to both metal and hip hop in the 80's, so there is a large hip hop influence on KoRn's music.
Yea thats basically what nu metal is just elements of hip hop and metal
That intro was what Freak On A Leash ended at. You reacted to Freak On A Leash so hopefully you see it ties together.
I'm honestly surprised he didn't notice that at all.
@@CarlosHuiskens you're surprised? I bet this dude doesn't even listen to song let alone remember any of it
Don’t know how he didn’t notice tbh
@@v4mpyLuvr0001 Well, there were 4 months between the reactions, pretty easy to forget in that time if he hadn't rewatched it since then.
@@Zomdra I mean....NO ONE just forgets Freak On A Leash video.
Even though I haven't gone through this pain it's mind BLOWING how this band has literally saved lives.
@Nathan Melia how so?
It was animated at the start because it ties to the end of Freak on a Leash. Also a great song. 🤘🏻
Reacter:I love the crazy instruments they play
Me:you mean drums guitar and bass guitar
so crazy
Maybe he meant the bagpipes. But honestly I thought the same lol
It’s the way they play it and manipulate it most of the time their guitars and bass don’t even sound like those instruments
u forgot vocals
To the "father" who left our family and broke my arm and cut my forehead with that beating as a kid, I wish you all the very best, what a shame you will die alone, my sister and mom are doing great now. My daughter is 14 now, and She is living the life you never gave to us "happiness".
A sound we never heard before, a sound we needed in times we didn't think we'd have.
This song will always be there for me in my darkest moments... songs like this never change and that certainty helps me. 🖤
The lyrics actually make me feel better, so often I get told that it's the worst thing a person can do, it's selfish, it's weak ect but when Jonathan says
"sometimes that's okay" is like someone is saying
"Hey, I know you're going through something and it's okay to have dark thoughts sometimes."
It's comforting for me.
Here to Stay or Thoughtless by Korn are epic!
Untouchables 👌
Naaaah
Twist and its beautiful lyrics
2+ years later, YES.
Korn are an amazing band, kids now don't realise how good they are. This song is one of my favourites too. You should also check out a band called Coal Chamber ✌🏻
Yes kids only listen to stupid pop songs. I am an 18 yr old boy and listen to Korn, Deftones, Linkin Park, pantera, breaking benjamin, Adema, three days grace, Gojira and many more. But instead most people my age listen to pop and edm
@@manosijthehero3686 apart from linkin park, that's a really good list 😉😂 and well played on listening to Adema, i still think their first album is so underated ✌🏻
@@DysonFury why dont u like Linkin park? Yes Adema is very cool. Their first album is fire. But my fav Adema song is Immortal
@@manosijthehero3686 i just don't like the doom and gloom kinda stuff. I know what he went through was ridiculously bad and horrific, but i like happiness. Their songs are depressing. They are catchy though, I'll give them that. Immortal is a good song, but my favourite song is Speculum.
@@DysonFury but i even like their song Unstable. Its hard to decide which is their best song
If you truly want to understand what Jonathan Davis went through and where a lot of the anger came from, you need to react to "Daddy."
I'm going to warn you, it's not for the feint of heart. Its what truly set Korn apart from me, and what made them one of my favorite bands for how real they are in their lyrics.
definitely not for the feint of heart. It is a gut wrenching song that helped me through my own trauma
"This song is about domestic abuse and that there are ways to get help whether it's telling someone or calling a help line, there are ways to get out of those situations. No one has to be treated like that."[3]
Been through it myself, can't understand parents doing that shit
I always cry listening to daddy.
oh 100% man.
I remember being a kid listening to that and being shocked at the level of trauma you can hear in John's voice. I choked up for sure.
It's reason why I love this band so much!! Every song very dark and deep (more song very painful listening to be honest still).
For Korn it's therapy!! React more Korn!! 🙏🙏🙏🖤🖤🖤
Pretty sure the high-pitched background vocals at the end are "Falling away from me"
No shit
I see that part. it like Jonathan davis voice.
Yep. absolutely no shit. Take you word
Thanks for doing my request, Sickflowz. I told you about this song so many times, glad you liked it. The next ones from KoRn you should do are "Here To Stay" and "Twisted Transistor". Crazy good songs! Also, Twisted Transistor has the craziest funny video featuring Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Lil Jon. Too hilarious.
Jonathan Davis dealt with a lot of shit. A lot of their songs deal with messed up things and trauma. “Daddy” is him really unloading a lot. There’s a reason Korn is still loved today and that’s because they talked about a lot of shit that still happens and people are currently going through, also they really pioneered this sound and no one can do it quite like them.
Amazing! I love your reaction. The video is so deep along with the lyrics. Abuse happens way too often, but I'm glad Korn sheds some light on it. We need more awareness for sure.
The lyrics is like his "diary". This song, Daddy, Got the Life and many more, it's all about his childhood.
This guy isn’t like the other reactors I’ve watched, I like him
Not gonna lie, I actually really like how you deconstructed and reacted to this song in this vid. This is my first video of yours I've seen and it's pretty well made man. I'll sub to you 🤘
I've been waiting for this. Great reaction like always, keep up the good work :D
the main chorus is insane!
I love seeing people react to music I grew up on. I like your breakdown and interpretation of the lyrics. Good job 👍🏼
dude if you think this is bad.. then you would cry at the video from korn called daddy.
DO NOT listen to Daddy. I listened to it 25 years ago and never after that.
KORN is my absolute band ever I have seen them MANY times in concert.. they actually sold out the target Center in Minneapolis in three minutes back in the day when you had to stand in line for tickets. I was third in line at a Ticketmaster and I got first level tickets that’s how fast they sold out. Of course I’ve seen them multiple times. But they were headlining this tour and they are still in the Guinness book of world record’s for having the loudest system at a concert. They have been one of my ultimate favorite is no matter what. I am now 38 I’ve been listening to them since I was 15 and I still have the first KORN CD. 🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️❤️
Very reflective reaction. Good job man!
I like how you invest in understanding the song and analyzing the meaning behind it. Got my subscription and like
The Whole KORN - Issues album was 🔥 Or I thought so at least 🤩🎸🤘
One of the best Korn albums
To me that album is when they had to change their sound because David was having wrist problems. Im glad now its 2021 and they have Ray kickin ass
Why do you look like you’re about to burst into tears this whole video
Thank you for making this video it feels great seeing somebody else Pick-A-Part and really understand old bands that I grew up with and kind of empathize with the meanings. Most bands after 2005 or 2010 really started to lose their meaning became repetitive and we kind of lost the site of presenting a Story and that's what I really believe we should bring back from the eighties and nineties and even before then of Telling stories with music and I believe rap, rock, metal and different genres can do this we just gotta... listen
Subscribed.
''i love songs that slowly build up''
song immediately drops
Forgot how dope this video was at end. Children of the Korn coming together to save and take her away. Dope as hell.
It not so much that they’re running away, its that they all came to save her!
Absolutely excited to see you react to Korn!!! Hope to see last legal drug reaction ❤️
The beginning of this video was a continuation to Korn - Freak on a Leash
Freak on a Leash is from the previous album, Follow the Leader.
Its to powerfull i love the screaming guitar at the background 🔥👻🔥
Is it alright for me to say that I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't recognize that beginning of the video as being the ending of Korn - Freak On A Leash? A song that you yourself have reacted to. And also i believe a lot of people including myself pointed out that this song was sort of a sequel to Freak On A Leash.
I was the child of maniacally depressed parents and it reflected on me to a point of being maniacally depressed myself. This song hit me hard as a teenager! Both of my parents sadly succumbed to their depression. While I still battle with it, I have 3 children that look up to me and give me purpose to the point that I will never give up on them. I'm glad that I never gave in to thr depression.
This song makes my heart beat really fast
i love this song sm i started listening to korn at 10 yrs old😻💅
This song has a deep meaning for me, long story short my pops got caught cheating on my mom, because I told her where he was. Dad and I had no contact order because of DV abuse, and I came home one day to a suicide note on my mom’s bed on top of her wedding dress. Asking to be buried in it. I was 14ish I wanna say, but much outlash from me to the community, eventually got arrested, and kept by the state because no parents able to take me, and this song released, so I picked up my guitar and learned it. Gave me peace of mind and got me through. After that Korn to this day is top three favorite bands.
The genius of lyrics is always 100
Confused about animation in the beginning “no trespassing”? Did he have his eyes closed the entire time he did a react to Freak on a Leash? The cartoon is literally picking up where the last one left off . 🤦♂️
He has to watch Freak on a leash.
I wasn’t beaten as a kid but was fucked up in different ways man and KoRn helped me a lot when I first heard of them back in 2002. I was twelve going on 13 and saw the music video for Here to Stay from Untouchables album. That was during mid 2002. The shit I was dealing with was late 2002/early 2003 and I didn’t have anyone to talk to but I had my KoRn, Linkin Park, and Insane Clown Posse albums to get me through
3:45 you got it dead right 💜 korn was and still is therapy for a lot of people because of messages like this.
fyi: if their lyrics or visuals start to get too heavy, just focus in on Fieldy (the bass player) next time they show him. you can’t help but smile watching his damn antics 😃
I love your breakdown of this video.
Great review man!
The fact that this song appeared on South park is what made me listen to it. F*cking worth it.
Allegaeon “Proponent for Sentience III “
Allegaeon “Gray Matter Mechanics “
Hell yea
Beating me down down in to the ground
Recuerdo cuando Mtv era genial y trasmitía este video y otros que buenos tiempos. Saludos ✌️ 👍
Aaahh yesss David the drummer was still with them... also I have a grab the Jonathan name is as he was walking through the crowd it with Fred Durst at a family values tour at the target center in Minneapolis. Lol yes it makes me feel like a creeper. But literally was the coolest thing ever I was actually on the floor and Fred Durst and Jonathan Davis walked through the crowd to get backstage and it was amazing lol 😂
Bruh! I came back 2000's this time was the most important my life.
I’m sorry but I absolutely love your facial expressions when you get into it 😍🤘🏼
The Animation at the beginning was the ending of the music video for Freak on a Leash from Follow the Leader album
Real shit right there, that was me. One time, my father beat me up and choked me, my friend thought I got jumped
Yo I found you reacting to Andy Mineo. Love Korn too man. Already subscribed.
i was 24 going to a school a whole year . every day for a whole i had these guys in my pod bach then it was wired cant decribe it Korn caridded me im old as now 50 corn forever..
If you were someone abused that has to be one powerful song omg
Bro you my favorite reactor. PLEASE DO EITHER "It's on" or "Justin"
fun fact. this video was directed by fred durst.
All most every time I see a Korn song reaction the reactor is emotionally react at the end.
Dude new album dropped and its MENTAL and get some tissues ready bro.
Alex Hefner has changed a little...🤔
MR COOOOOOOut hahaha
Hey men do a video to Ghost "Cirice"
Did you know Fred Durst from limp bizkit makes a small cameo in the video towards the end when Jonathan David has that red electricity around him and his twitching... gotta do a pause stop to see it a few time...
Some messed up shit happened to me when I was a kid and ended up fuckin up my teenage years. When I felt the urge to cut myself, I would listen to this song. Sounds weird but when you're feeling like killing yourself, the energy of the song and the lyrics kind of makes you feel better. I can't really explain it.
What your saying is so true thank you man
nah nah THANK YOU for watching!
This is my favorite Korn song
I used to love it back in the day when KoRn would out do all the boy bands and the Brittany Spears and Christina Aguilera videos on TRL. It always felt like a huge glorious victory for real music that actually had something behind the words.
Why does he look like he is trying not to cry while he’s listening
And you should react to daddy by Korn. ... This song made me cry
Yay. Thank you
These guys are actually from Bakersfield CA!!! Very close to me
Korn always emotional
I don't know why but that thumbnail gave me a good laugh haha.
Dealing with emotional, physical, and sexual abuse throughout my childhood, it's taken ages with therapy at the age of 40 to feel the sense of I. Who am I . It gets screwed
My favorite Korn tune. STILL WAITING FOR MORE NIRVANA
they cover one and its sick how they did there own twist
Best metal band dude
Jonathan davis has his own music
Like, basic needs, and what it is. Great music.
we cant explain how much KoRn means to us..
I fucking love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!
22 FUCKIN' years ago!!!🤘🤘🤘
Sou do Brasil e te assisto mesmo sem saber muito da língua inglesa!
Kudos From Canada.... Bout Time. Talk To Someone. Don't Hold Things In
The guy was talking about how you shouldn’t beat your children and the ad popped up Twizzlers gummy’s
@iamsickflowz... IF you do Daddy by Korn, you have to listen to the whole song THEN talk. Trust me, if you pause during the song you are quite literally pausing on Jonathan Davis' trauma recovery. This song helped me through my own trauma from my childhood.
Its deep and brutal
Great song and an amazing reaction man. Thoughtless is another great one you should check out, there's actually a lot lol but definitely check out thoughtless
Also "Freak on a leash" absolute great song. About being controlled by his record lable. Not being able to express yourself as a true artist. Being a slave to the label.
The intro to this video is the end of Freak on a Leash
Kron is my favorite music group and my favorite song is falling away from me.
Good philosophy, bro. Seriously, your take on this was mature.
This is the point I love that you said this. “Yeah I got my ass kicked.” But it wasn’t abuse
I think that’s the serious point in this debate. a lot of people will say “all violence is bad”. Nah son. I got a licking and it taught me well.
If you isolate the 2nd guitar in the background it's this awesome creepy, dark siren, it's actually a KoRn trademark sound. If you dig it that same sound is actually the entire verse melody in a KoRn song called A.D.I.D.A.S.
thats true, ive downloaded the stems of this song and i couldnt hear that sound because it gives me a insane weird feeling, it sounds like an annoying mosquito
"I love the crazy instruments that they play!"
Hmmm, I didn't realize that guitar, bass and drums were "crazy" instruments
I know Jonathan Davis lived with his dad and step mom and the song Kill You is about her. How he tried to be friends with her, but she wouldn't have it and basically grounded him during the entire time he was in high school
My friend's mother did that exact thing to her stepson. He has nothing to do with his family to this day because of her.
I don't quite think that's what he meant my guy
You should do a song you've never prepared for and watched multiple times lmao.
