This song will always be there for me in my darkest moments... songs like this never change and that certainty helps me. 🖤 The lyrics actually make me feel better, so often I get told that it's the worst thing a person can do, it's selfish, it's weak ect but when Jonathan says "sometimes that's okay" is like someone is saying "Hey, I know you're going through something and it's okay to have dark thoughts sometimes." It's comforting for me.
Jonathan Davis dealt with a lot of shit. A lot of their songs deal with messed up things and trauma. “Daddy” is him really unloading a lot. There’s a reason Korn is still loved today and that’s because they talked about a lot of shit that still happens and people are currently going through, also they really pioneered this sound and no one can do it quite like them.

I was third in line at a Ticketmaster and I got first level tickets that’s how fast they sold out. Of course I’ve seen them multiple times. But they were headlining this tour and they are still in the Guinness book of world record’s for having the loudest system at a concert. They have been one of my ultimate favorite is no matter what. I was the child of maniacally depressed parents and it reflected on me to a point of being maniacally depressed myself. This song hit me hard as a teenager! Both of my parents sadly succumbed to their depression. While I still battle with it, I have 3 children that look up to me and give me purpose to the point that I will never give up on them. I'm glad that I never gave in to thr depression.

If you isolate the 2nd guitar in the background it's this awesome creepy, dark siren, it's actually a KoRn trademark sound. If you dig it that same sound is actually the entire verse melody in a KoRn song called A.D.I.D.A.S.
thats true, ive downloaded the stems of this song and i couldnt hear that sound because it gives me a insane weird feeling, it sounds like an annoying mosquito
Loving this channel I found, subbed for life. I agree you with 100%, I got my ass beat as a kid a few times, but only in situations where I did something very badly and deserved it. Not to the point of punching and shit though, a leather belt to the ass was all i got. However ya, if somebody is physically abuding their kids, fuck them; they are low level pieces of shit.
