This is a review of the Fuji All-Around BJJ gi, a cotton single weave kimono with a surprising amount of quality considering the cost. The jacket weave has an obvious judo influence thanks to Fuji's long history with that sport, but has the tighter cut for jiujitsu players. The pants are made of a mid weight cotton drill material. This gi is IBJJF approved and retails, depending on the color, for 94 to 98 dollars on BJJWarehouse.com
    Design
The Fuji is a nice bright white, clean-looking gi. The embroidered Fuji logo and lettering is placed on the left arm and upper back of the jacket. A small woven patch is placed at the bottom of the lapel and replicated on upper left thigh of the pants. Overall it's a very simple, classic look that I personally appreciate a lot.
    Fit and Feel
The first thing I noticed was the surprising softness of the gi. And the weight. Single weave doesn't necessarily mean super light, and I was impressed by the heft of this gi. It's a nice, midrange weight. The jacket is supple and showed minimal shrinkage after a cold wash and dry on low heat. I'm 5'8" and 160 lbs, and the A2 is an excellent fit.
    Build Quality
Right here is where the Fuji really shines. This is a sub $100 gi with a lot of bells and whistles where it counts. The jacket has armpit and oversized side vent reinforcements along with cotton lining running over the triple stitched seams on the inside of the jacket. The inside of the sleeve cuffs have the same feature, and the trim along the bottom of the jacket also has the soft cotton. The reinforced stitching running from one side of the chest, around the back of the neck and down the other side is strong. The lack of contrast stitching makes it a little difficult to see, but I've changed the lighting here to make it stand out a bit more. The collar is very pliable but it's not thin and flimsy. It has a comforting thickness to it.
The pants have side vent and crotch reinforcements as well as thigh to ankle knee reinforcements for extra comfort and strength. Stitching throughout the gi is straight and precise.
    In Action
This is one of those gis that just fit me nearly perfectly. The cut and softness of the gi make it a fun, comfortable roll. I felt completely mobile the entire time without the gi coming loose and flopping all over. The weight of the All-Around gi makes it a great choice no matter the season, and unless you're desperately shaving grams to make weight, it'd work just fine as a competition gi, too.
The pants are comfortable and nicely tapered, and allow for full range of motion in those terrifying moments when I'm trying to play guard.
    Conclusion
If I had to pick a word to describe the Fuji All-Around gi, it would be "surprising." The quality of construction and the fit of the gi make this seem like a much more expensive product than it is. There were so many times during filming this that I said, "Really, this gi is less than a hundred bucks?" It would be nice to have a couple more belt loops and, and I'd replace the flat drawstring with a stretchy rope, but other than that it's a lot of bang for your buck. You certainly don't have to spend a bunch of money to get a great gi, and for this price range, the Fuji All-Around is an excellent choice.

My blue Fuji All-Around was my first gi, and 3 years later it still is! Can't recommend this enough, especially for the price!

Can this gi be used for judo? I started okinawan jujitsu and I need a tough gi. I'm hoping that this gi will last me awhile considering I will be thrown alot.

John Wick A3 I have this gi and I'm 5'11" 160 LBS. The gi shrinks and I feel the jacket shrunk too much by 2 inches. The sleeves on this gi feel short for me.

I'm 5'11" and 175 lbs. I have an A2, and it fits perfectly. I'd suggest hanging it out to dry after washing to avoid shrinking the fabric. It'll also last longer.

Angelo, really? According to their chart size you should have A2H. A2 is up to 5'9 and up to 170 lbs. I'm 6" and 160 lbs, thinking about A2L but I'm not sure anymore.

Don't get this gi if you are small man/woman. It's big. I wasted my money. Barely shrinks after so many hot drys and washes. I'm supposed to be an a1, but should have gotten an a0 for this gi.
