    Hi Jonathan. Would you consider showing us the furniture in your home that you have worked on and talk about what you did and the colours you used?

    Your ❤ heart shows through! Love your humility because that makes you the perfect teacher as well as an artist. You don't assume we know what you do; you teach us the how-to without complication and plenty of patience.

    Dear Jonathan, please stop apologizing for your art. It is magnificent and you are doing nothing wrong. In fact, you are doing everything right.
    If people are so fanatical about pure wood that they are harassing you, simply BLOCK them. Life is too short to have to tolerate Trolls and jerks.
    They don't have to watch your channel. And they don't have to be mean.
    Take this beautiful talent you have and make the rest of us ohhhh and awwww in envy at all the wonderful furniture you have saved and given new life to. You've given me a new hobby and I am jolly excited about it. Bless you💐

    What a beautiful piece of furniture. I wouldn't give it up either. I love the colour that you chose and really liked learning how you add slightly different colours to a piece to add an extra dimension. I still fear the dark wax so I appreciate the lesson on how to use it and love the idea of using a bit of gilding wax along with it. I learn so much from you. Thank you once again for a great tutorial.

    Good Morning from Texas Jonathan! What colors are on the piece before the wax? Also I would live to see you paint the piece, is there a video? Just love EVERYTHING you do, such an inspiration!

    Thank you beautiful work. I have just discovered your you Tube and like painting old furniture but I have a old over fire guilted mirror I want to paint. Would you please be able to write the name of that gold patina paint and colour. I would use it in some of my work. I look forward UFO continue looking at your other works. This in my kinda channel. I am living in Australia. Thank you again.

    You are the Master of antique finishes. Love this finish Jonathon. Are you planning to change the interior of the center glazed section?

    • @JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove
      @JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove  2 роки тому +1

      The interior is a fabric covered interior I could strip that down and replace or even sand and fix but the colour is good for me as I have a sort of Beije coloured fireplace in the room so I’m gonna leave as is and fill it with interesting things that contrast with the room Great question and thank you for watching 😀

    Beautifully done! I love your wax layering technique and the resulting aging and dimensionality you achieve. This piece is gorgeous and would look amazing in a dining room where it can sparkle in the candlelight occasionally. Love your channel! Wishing you and all you love a healthier, kinder, and more prosperous 2022. All the best, from Florida.

    Love this technique/tutorial! I’m curious to hear more about your decision to use dark wax as opposed to black wax. A lot of AS painters I know prefer the black. You Johnathan make the dark look wonderfully vintage, rustic, right. I seem to create a dirty mess but I’m learning from your tutorials and hope to master the dark wax artistic flair with practice. I suspect you could do a whole tutorial on this subject. 😉

    • @JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove
      @JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove  2 роки тому +2

      Great question and yes I would say I prefer dark wax it has a lovely tone to it I like using black wax more for industrial style finishes but when it comes to faded grandeur more elegant pieces I would always grab the dark racks it’s got A slightly more translucent appearance and adds great age I think it’s more personal preference 😊😊

      The colour is very similar to olive and that was the main body but I added a little Amsterdam green a little firl and a touch of graphite this slightly dark and the olive the colour in the panels is the same shade just with a slight mix of Versailles 😊

    I know it’s a thing to have these “live” shows but really for people who are looking for DIY info, they are really disruptive. The hosts are forced to acknowledge each and every new person joining and sometimes repeating over and over and over the same info and so the diy becomes disjointed and not very helpful. And then sometimes the host goes off on a tangent so as not to be impolite and ignore people. But really, who can have a conversation with 50+ people at the same time? Doesn’t work in reality and doesn’t work in a vlog. So I was glad to hear at the top you were going to answer questions at the end. So I stayed!

      Oh thank you very much I find it rather annoying as well but the truth is I’m also dyslexic so it is quite traumatic reading the comments so it does make it a lot easier for me just to take my time over them once the live is over thank you once again and all the best 😊❤️🙏

    Your pronunciation of patina is correct. Pa-teena is not correct. I don't know who's telling you you're wrong, but you're not. Just thought you should know. BTW, I'm American and pronounced it incorrectly for years until I was corrected.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
