This is an amazing story. I think this is the kind of mom I’m meant to be because my heart hurts for the kids that don’t have a real shot at getting out of the system. The quicker we can get them out of the system the better for them. I want to be a mom and my heart feels pulled in this direction.

Same. I truly have a heart to care for a child not necessarily biologically mine. Like I look at other moms giving birth and caring for their own child and I honestly don’t feel any desire for any of it. I however feel something very special about adopting a child. Is that a calling do u think?

I turned 38 today…over the past few years, I’ve started to mourn the possibility of me giving birth to my own children someday…but then I see stories like this and I am TRULY inspired to open my heart and my home to children like this little boy when the time is right. I have PCOS and some other issues so it’s definitely a fear for me too, but I honestly would be more than happy to adopt one day. I think that’s just so incredible because it’s not just “create a baby, and get whatever human you get”, it’s actively going in and choosing a child to be your forever child, knowing all their personality, and who they are as a human. The fact is, is every child is special and worthy, and it’d be an honor to be able to go and choose who my child is and have them choose me as their parent. Not to say traditional ways aren’t just as special, they are. But to know “this kid has decided I’m worthy to parent THEM”...that would be special. I feel like that in itself must create a special bond between adoptive parents and children, just knowing both made an active choice for that respective person to be their forever family.
I’ve got a cousin who is adopted, that’s weird for me to even type because we really haven’t even spoken about it. Not that he doesn’t know but that it doesn’t matter. He’s our family and that’s all there is to it. I hope you can get your blessing one day ❤️

My friend did this as well. Beautiful Chad was extremely disabled and the most courageous child I've ever seen. He was 5/6 years old and could barely walk. It is an incredible story.

I work for state department of social and health services. I’ve heard stories over my 25 year career of staff who end up adopting children from state. These kids didn’t do anything wrong to be in foster care, and get CHOSEN for a real family. They are so fortunate.
This story has added a lot of love to my ♥️ bank! I even have started looking into becoming a foster parent.

As a 30 year old that got licensed as a foster parent 2 years ago to take care of one of my family members temporarily I have to say, I’m IMPRESSED by Paige! The system is not for the faint of heart and being a parent to a child who has been through so much for a little while or for longer is the hardest things I’ve ever done. I feel for her. And I’m so happy for them both!

I have 3 kids 2 are are in their early 20's my youngest is 10, I had my 2 oldest very young, and I have always wanted to foster/adopt.... Two of my cousin's foster.... Bless this woman's heart, because of her this kid has a forever home.... Wish them the very best....
Research the trauma us adoptees go through before you do. Adoption isn’t fairytales like they spew it to be. Us adoptees loose so much to fill voids for others

She is gorgeous. Crazy she is only 26 and adopted him. Most people that age nowadays don’t have kids either until later or much younger. They will have a great Xmas.
Most Westerners yeah but most people of faith have them within their 20s who wants to parents at 40. I rather have my kids in their teens
