A mom was left frozen in shock when her daughters took her to a skatepark and surprised her with her biological son who she hadn’t seen in 18 years. Carmen Santiago initially marveled at the Douglasville, Georgia, skatepark, looking around and saying how she had never been there before. But then, on a nearby ramp, Jeremy Hudson, 22, shouted, "Hey, mom, watch me," before dropping in and riding up to Carmen on his board. A confused Carmen didn’t initially understand Jeremy, but when her daughters - Tara Hammock, 27, and Sophia Williams, 32 - explained who had just shown up, everything suddenly clicked. Carmen could only let out cries of "Oh my god! Oh my god!" before Jeremy headed over to her for an emotional hug he had waited 18 years for.

@@skylinerunner1695 God bless you sweetheart ❤️ 😘. In life people are way too judgemental without knowing all the true facts, most of the time! Instead of others judging her & running her down because perhaps it goes against "their" moral compass, just look at how this has turned out. I know in life there isn't always such happy endings, but either way this was and I applaud them all, the birth mother for being so selfless and doing the right thing, the adopted parents for opening their heart and home to a new child, and for the son who absolutely did not cast blame or fault on his birth mum. An all round beautiful ending BUT hopefully now, a brand new beginning for them all. 🙏🏻💜💐💜

@@samanthawalker4171 Thank you so much for answering Samantha. Your initial post was moving enough, but your response to me absolutely made me melt. I haven't such warm words directed towards me in I don't know how long. My own childhood was one of neglect, abandonment and abuse, as I came a distant second to whatever man my mother happened to be with. The pattern never changed and though I survived the years of fear and isolation, I still move through life feeling unlovable and unworthy of kindness, and very afraid of loss. My thanks to you for being as beautiful a person as your name.

I love this so much. My story is (somewhat) similar! I was adopted at birth from American Samoa and raised in Melbourne Australia. My adopted parents kept in contact with my mother's side, and I met them all when I was 12. Then, randomly in 2011, I found my father's name in a diary (a relative told my a decade earlier, I wrote it down and immediately forgot about it). I punched it into Facebook, and my little sister came up. Plus 3 little brothers. I grew up an only child in a different culture. Now I have 12 siblings that live all over the world. I'm so thankful to know all of them.
