- My friends had been telling me about deleting my resonator and I finally decided to do it. It turned out GREAT! Didn't cost more than $45 and consisted of maybe 20minutes of labor and the result was a little less weight, sexy ass growl.

The 1st gen MS3 you're driving has two stock resonators from what I understand. Did you delete both resonators or just one?
I love how it sounds like a subie
Chris J unequal length headers I believe
@@xCoffeeCrisp yessir. makes me question why other manufacturers dont do that as well haha, makes a car sound awesome
@@JaySwift really late to the party but it's a performance thing, unequal length headers are less efficient than equal length ones
Gen 1 still looking good
I have a good set up on my 2008 mazdaspeed3 (1st gen obviously)... i got both resonators deleted with a cobb downpipe combo (perfect exhaust combo in my opinion with the stock muffler)... cobb accessport and an intake. This combined gets me right at around 300whp
Alyn Romero do you pass smog?
Uploads and doesn't answer to comments :(
I just want to know what exhaust did you have as it sounds nice and has that deep tone
I just took the resonator off my 2008 Mazda 3 sedan and damn it sounds great. It’s not to loud but you really do get an awesome growl. No gonna lie it’s a little ricey but... whatever it’s better then stock lol.
This weekend I straight piped it which was cool and all but it was as loud as my friends V8 Jeep Cherokee so, bad to put a tube where the resonator was so (resonator delete)
Bruh you straight piped a Mazda 3 🙊 would at least make sense on a speed 3 bc the car is actually fast but even then that’s still pretty Ricey even on a speed 🙃
Dude has speed 3 so he thinks it’s a race car zoom zoom no but it only has so many more hp don’t buy a speed the first that price when you can get faster cars
Yes it's 100% legal. They're only there to eliminate sound. In keeping with that. there's a considerable amount of drone after removing them, yes.
Gen1 has 2 resonators, Gen2 has 1.
I removed Both
ik this is very old, but I've read some people saying the opposite, can you confirm it, i've read that gen 1 has 1 res, and gen 2 spilts into 2 res
@@TurkS3T my gen 1 has 2 resonators
Nice! Do you have drone inside now though?
sounds sick def need to do this to my 3 do u know if u get anymore power? i already had 3 n 1/2 exhaust from cat back few other mods n 19psi
thanks
did you keep the muffler on or did you just cut off the center resonator?
Did these cars come with UEL headers? Almost sounds like a subie
Yes they have UEL headers from factory.
Sweet car dude! Love the way it sounds
You only get annoying noise inside once you're driving on the highway.
what exhaust did u have on this before the resonator delete
so just a resonatore delete on this one? is that a stock exhaust?
Can you please share the link to the place you got the resonator delete at please
Did you remove the resonator only or the muffler and straight pipe both of them?
Where did you get the tail lights
My friend, can you tell me your wheel specs? wide inch and et/offset please! You are not rubbing right?
is everything stock on here. just the resonator delete only
when you do a resonator delete or muffler delete is a tune needed?
Hector Silva no
What kind of wheels?
Did you lose any horsepower?
this is a Turbo engine they dont lose HP maybe he got now 2-3hp morgen.
You gain hp the car can breath
Were both resonators deleted? Or only one?
It only splits to 2 on the Gen2 not the Gen1
I know i'm five years late but actually it's the opposite. Gen 1 have two resonators and Gen 2 has one.
Got that Subbie rumble!
legal?
LeCoureurDesBois 😂😂😂😂
And what exactly costs $45? Can u explain please
Lol
I bet that stang in front of you sounds good
