Ayo just a tip that I didn’t find out until my second car I owned that was a manual, when at a stop take it out of gear and let your foot off the clutch, it can put premature wear on your throw out bearing. 🤷♂️ just a tip
definitely one of the best videos of comparing sounds clips and going into detail about it. I have a mazda 3 and plan to do this, love how you mentioned it sounded like a subaru, how big is the exhaust tip? and saw the sticker on the side window, whats your insta?
I live in AB Canada I don’t think we have to do inspections unless the car is from out of province its illegal to modify your exhaust here but I don’t think there are inspections unless police pull you over it doesn’t take the cats out so it might be ok where you live
@@WheelsnStuff gotcha, any reason you chose removing the resonators over the muffler. What you did sounds great but I’m debating which to do. After seeing your vid I’m definitely leaning towards what you did but just wondering because it’s kinda a debate in the forums/groups
I don’t really know I didn’t want to make my car to loud. The resonators are manly there to make your car less droney on the highway. If you take the resonators out and you want it louder you can always take the muffler out to.
The regular Mazda 3 has a different motor and exhaust it only has one resonator it has a smaller diameter and the muffler is in a different spot than the speed. It might still sound good but it will be different than the speed.
I have an engine light that is for the exhaust but my turbo is also burning oil so I don’t know if the oil made the o2 sensor bad or if it is because of the exhaust.
Nice video, sounds really good
Watched this multiple times. Useful!

I take my car out of gear to avoid premature left knee wear.
Same my chicken legs can’t hold the clutch for a whole traffic light sometimes.
My first car was a 62 vw, with arnold swartza-clutch. Cable operated, like a bicycle
I took off my 1 and 2nd res and my muffler and it’s surprisingly quiet
Any power loss after removing the two resonators?

Any check engine light after this?
Tried removing one resonator, hasn't changed it so much, will try removing the second one now!
Once you get the second one out lmk how it sounds please
@@kalebfisher4730 you won’t be disappointed, they sound great with both deleted, with only one deleted that sound like stock just a tad bit louder.
@@gregorysenge only concern I have is mine is just the Mazda 3 and not the speed 3

@@WheelsnStuff Mine does have 2 resonators
Hey man it sounds sick!! I just got a msp3, how much did it cost for you to do it at a shop?
It was like $250
where in Alberta do you live
Any issues with the car after getting this done?

@@WheelsnStuff the car is still running good though?
Yeah
Is this on a stock exhaust?
Yes
