I own a basque red 2014 Touring v6. Driven her cross country from California to Ohio and back. This car gets amazing fuel economy and drives like a dream!!! I have no qualms about this generation of Accord. Honda did swell with it!

The headlamps and running lights are LED on the Touring. Brake lights are LED on EX-L and Touring models.

In regards of the camera on the right side, it's beneficial to have that camera to make a lane change especially if you're in a high traffic area.

In response to you reviewing the Touring v6 verses the "volume-v4", THANK You! I ALWAYS prefer the v6 option over a four-pot, and finding video reviews of the v6 2013 Accord Sedan is difficult at best. Again, Thank You!

It's actually the other way around. Look back at the 2002 model accord and you will see who came out with that tail light design first. The lights color scheme has just been flipped with red being on bottom instead. This is not copying Hyundai, the lights just show a sign of evolution from previous more successful year accord model. I think it is important to look at what Honda has done well in the past and improve on it to make another stellar vehicle that can out compete this segment.

Calm down people. I'm sure he'll get the coupe in sometime. A great review. Finally a nice looking Honda. They've all kinda looked like junk in the last few years. Id buy it if I weren't in the market for a truck.

I prefer the last generation's interior though this one looks good...without the smaller screen. Another good review.

i drive a 2008 accord ex from time to time and above all else, I hate the plastic feeling steering wheel. is this better?

Great review Tom!...but Honda can't deny that they take that rear end from the Hyundai Genesis Sedan, just my opinion

How's the road and wind noise on the new accord? I own a gen 7 and it can get annoying at highway speeds. Clearly, the Verano is quieter, but how does this rate compared to the Camry and Altima at highway speeds? Awesome review, as always.

Hello. I just looked at your review. In your personal opinion with all the testing you've done, which do YOU prefer...the touring, exl, or cvt?

Haha no, I'm a recent university grad and now working as an engineer...Just thought I'd post a funny but honest comment to see what people would say. Obviously the S7 is in a completely different league. Regardless, I'm impressed with the V6 accord.

My only gripe about this Accord is the folding seatback. Other than that, I think the Accord is currently the best midsize sedan on the market.

  • @randallbollinger2101

You also didn't mention how comfy the seats are.

I think Honda hit the nail on the head with this one, I was really forgetting about them with their hideous Civic and the previous Accord, but now they got my attention again. The only bad thing is that this is the only car I would even consider buying from them, I wish they could build the rest of their cars like the Accord.

is the gdi engine in honda prone to carbon build up? i really wanted this car until i started hearing about problems with a gdi.. now im not so sure.... HELP!!!! i havent heard any cases online about extreme carbon build up in hondas, but also honda hasnt mentioned that theyve done anything to prevent it.... cars with 75-100k+

Looks really reminiscent of the early 2000's accords. I don't like that since looks like it was inspired on an older version which I know it was. Anyways, I like the amount of features u can get

The new American Accord's front design looks very similar to the existing Acura TSX/European Accord. Good call.

All I know is car and driver tested the 2013 Honda Sport Manual and it went to 60 in 6.8 seconds!!! That is V6 speed out of a four cylinder.

Decent review but you spent more time talking about the ANC than you did about the led headlights and how bright they are and how well you can see with them. Also, you didn't mention that the mpg was WITHOUT the Econ turned on, which means the mpg should be about 36 hwy... For the v-6. Better than ALOT of 4 cyl...

  • @schxn

I actually think that the Accord Touring can compete with cars like the Avalon, Impala, and Cadenza. The Accord has more legroom than Cadenza.

LED headlights are NOT the same HID headlights. HID's use a noble gas to light the way, whereas the accord LED's are LED's as in Light Emitting Diodes!!!

definitely a better looking accord, the past generation has been quite bland looking. the center stack still looks great and a little less complicated to use now. the past generation had way too many buttons.

This also has a cheaper direct injection engine and CVT transmission. He fails to mention this ( or even open up the hood to show you the engine) and instead focuses on fussiness and features.
