Kirby Star Allies only fault was being far too short. I thought I was at the one third point and then it just ended. Why was it not longer. Kirby on the NES felt longer.
@Aethelia Pretty name you have, first off. I honestly don't know why Star Allies was short. I guess because it was the first game they were experimenting with, but if that was the case, don't charge $60 for it. But I agree that Kirby's Adventure was longer and more fleshed out than Star Allies was.

In my opinion, cute and fun...but plagued by a terrible flaw. Some of the Waddle Dees and Soul Fragments are infuriating to get because you get one chance to get them and, if you fail, you have no choice but to repeat the entire level to get another shot. The game isn't really hard enough to make that a challenge, but that only makes the issue worse because rather than get any stimulation from repeating the whole level you just run and jump through it doing nothing as fast as you can to get another try. (This is especially true for the Waddle Dees you only get by making it through a boss fight without damage. If you take damage, naturally you don't want to finish the boss fight...you want to quit and try again right away. But no...first you have to exit the whole stage. Then you have to wait for it to load and then wait for it to load to reenter the stage. Then you have to always run through the big, wide, open nothing part of the stage just to get to the boss before you try again. Why can't you just restart the boss fight?) It makes an otherwise relatively simple, colorful, and entertaining game rage-quit inducing for the wrong reason: tediousness.
