  • I will teach you to save and reuse your zipper-operated belongings what ever they are.
    Purses, Luggage, Zipper Boots, Jackets & more!
    Now you don't have to throw away anything you paid good money for.
    This will work for Nylon-plastic zippers (plastic)
    You can fix others and make some money.
    The teeth tends to come off the underlying material and the zipper head may still work but the item won’t function and may feel loose such as knee high boots, ankle boots, backpacks, hoodies.
    I will come out with another video on fixing your favorite hoddie.
    As a matter of fact it’s already done.
    Just click in the Pinned Comments. You’ll see it.

    Thank you for sharing Carlos! I just followed along and fixed the zipper on the sleeve of my motorbike jacket :) It saved me from paying the person at the local tailor/dry cleaner and it just feels better when you repair things yourself. Clothes and accessories are meant to be worn and torn! Cheers

    I enjoyed your video very much and I think I will use your Technique on a bag I have. I have another problem though and this is what I really would like to know if it's possible to repair the little piece that is inserted into a zipper on my leather coat. It came off So now I'm unable to zip the Coat up Because of that Little Metal Piece that Slips Into The Zipper. Are there any pieces that a person can buy?To repair the missing metal piece. Or a Quick Fix that a person can do? Do You have any Suggestions or Will I have to replace the entire zipper in the coat? Any Insight that You can give me I Would Be Greatly Appreciated. just as a Reply to My Question Thank You Very Much For Your Time

    What kind of string did you use? I have thin wool strings. Would that work enough if i applied it in a backpack?

    • @M-E-G-A
      @M-E-G-A  2 роки тому

      Regular spool of thread is fine.
      The wool thread may shred over time.

    I have the same coil zipper on my backpack, however, I'm missing 3 teeth on one side in the middle, and the slider comes off that side everytime it passes it. Is there a repair for that?

    • @M-E-G-A
      @M-E-G-A  4 роки тому

      If the bag can open or close half way you could lock-stitch the missing points and still be able to use the bag. That’s my best solution. Check out the link below about the Hoodie fix. That’ll work.

  • @fmassajr

    what size of needle and what type/size of thread did you use for fixing the zipper?

      @M-E-G-A  6 років тому

      f massa the needle is called a: Sharp. Size 7,
      I believe. The thread is a common spool for general stitching. I’ll look into it.

    • @M-E-G-A
