3:54 average spawn level for hostile mobs in the overworld is 7 or lower. In the nether, zombie pigmen, and probably by extention now other nether hostiles spawn at light level 11 or lower. Light works, you just need much more of it in more spaces. Or you could just go with the ole slab technique.
What you need to live in the nether: 1: crimson wood or warped wood 2: respawn anchor 3: lodestone & lodestone compass 4: crafting table and chest and furnace 5: nether portal 6: shroom light & and glow stone 7: gear 8: anvil (so you can repair your gear) 9: hoglin farm 10: netherite 11: pickaxe 12: enchantment table 13: bow & arrow 14: golden armor (so you can blend in with piglins. but you don't have to wear. it wear it when you see piglins)
Remember this if you want to live in the nether, everything is trying to kill you, even your livestock, the best way to farm hoglins is to lure them into a kill box or onto some magma, your only other option for food is mushroom stew, so you pretty much have to farm hoglins if you want to have a consistent source of food, Other point, make sure you have your pen surrounded in warped fungus so they don't try to escape

I dont like bees i was stung when i was realy young so the pain was dramaticly incresed ac i was never stung before that and have not been stung again when im older now because im terrified of them so im overly careful and i fear getting stung and realising its probably not that bad is the only cure for my fear i know this comment has nothing to do with the video but i dont care he said bee update at some point and it reminded me
